The New Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner Pencils by theBalm: This Mr. Right Is Not a Commitment-Phobe

Mr. Write (Now) is not the kind of guy to hit it and quit it.

Um…can I say that on the blog?? I dunno, that might be kind of rude.

Let me try again…

Will you ever meet Mr. Right? Absolutely! In fact, Mr. Write is ready to meet you right now.

OK, that was better. 🙂

Don’t be surprised if you find yourself wanting to commit to this new line of twist-up eyeliner pencils by theBalm. Make a note in your diary to meet one of these guys next time you’re near a counter. They’re available in eight $17 shades, with some of them mattes and some of them shimmers (incidentally, they have a built-in sharpener hidden in the bottom of each pencil).

I was surprised my eyes didn’t freak out when I wore Jac. B Bronze on my water lines this week, because they can usually only tolerate MAC Eye Kohls this time of year. My skin gets very sensitive when the air is cold and dry.

Now, as one might expect of an eyeliner pencil called Mr. Write (Now), these guys will not sneak off without buying you breakfast. They want to stick around (nine+ hours). None of them, and that includes Jac B. Bronze, who I’m wearing on my lower lash lines in these pics, are commitment-phobes.

In fact, these long-lasting twist-up liners are so heavy-duty that I have to use an oil-based makeup remover with them. The formula also dries very quickly, so if you plan to do any smudging, don’t dilly-dally.

I should mention that Jac B. Bronze employed several play-yuh tricks on me, and dayum! — they worked.

First, he caressed my skin with his silky smooth formula. Then he wooed me with his powerful pigment (ah…). Then he sealed the deal with his worthy wear time of nine hours (oh…).

Uh…this is starting to sound dirty-birdy again.

All you really need to know is this: these guys want to stick around, so why wait for Mr. Right when Mr. Write Now is available now at theBalm counters and online. 🙂

PRICE: $17 each

MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+/A- (love these for their wear time, but they’re difficult to remove and set VERY quickly)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Nothing special. Going to Ulta tonight hopefully to pick up some false eyelashes that you recommended and I want to see if they already have the new UD sheer lipsticks. And some Superbowl family party at my in-laws on Sunday. And work in between, of course.

How about you? What do you have planned?

Jac B. Bronze looks like a keeper! Definitely my favorite shade out of the bunch! Glad to hear the formula works so well. I’ll check them out when they land here 🙂

It’s kinda similar to MAC Powersurge (have you tried that color? It’s a must for coral-lovers)! I think it would look great on you. 🙂

No, but it’s one of those things that I don’t know why I don’t own yet! Will have to pop by the MAC store over the weekend 🙂

      Hi Dee,

It is Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 97 Desinvolte, a moisturizing, semi-sheer creamy coral. It’s a repromote from the new spring collection!

Happy Friday, by the way. 🙂

Yes! I kind of love that they did a nice mix of neutrals and wearable (but still fun!) shades like navy and plum. Eye liner all day, errr day. lol

Happy Friday to you! What are your plans for the weekend?

That Jac B. Bronze! WOW! I don’t think I have anything like that in my collection! It’s really such a unique shade. Thanks for introducing these to us, Karen! Do you find any glitter fallout later on in the day?

I LOVE your writing style and this post was the best. Made me laugh, well done! You look stunning in this pic – lovin’ the bronze on the waterline, didn’t think i would. I think if I try them I will start with the Bordeaux. (makes my hazel eyes a little greener)

Karen love do you wear contacts? I have an issue keeping any liner in my waterline that won’t smudge onto my contacts.
