I cleaned out my purse this morning; here’s what I found inside.

Moleskin Reporter’s Notebook (lined)
Pentel R.S.V.P. fine tip pen (black)
One acorn (?)
Wallet
iPhone
MAC Lipstick in Utter Fun
MAC Dazzleglass in Phiff!
Burt’s Bees Aloe & Witch Hazel Hand Sanitizer
Clinique Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream
A can of Fancy Feast in “Tuna Feast in Gravy Flavor”

My purse is HEAVY! I’m going to one day have bursitis, but for now – carrying a ton of crap is what is necessary for me to feel sane on a day-to-day basis.
    What’s in it?
My new faux leopard print wallet. (B-day gift!Woohoo!)
Bare Escentuals Matte foundation in Medium Beige
Zero pencil liner by Urban Decay
A Stella by Stella McCartney purse spray
my uber crappy cellphone (The good one got stolen.:( )
and the biggest tube of Aquaphor that anyone has ever seen.
Oh and some $1 ELF hand sanitizer.

    Fun!

Some random lipstick or lipgloss that I’m wearing then
    Camera
    Pocket Moleskine lined (and pen)
    iPod Touch
    Cell phone

…and any other random thing I can think of or need at the moment 🙂 Good question Karen, i’m always curious to see what people carry around with them, us girls carry our lives around with us, don’t we? 😀

It’s okay. It has some good things (sinks in quickly, non-greasy), but I wish it smelled better and was more moisturizing. My hands are REALLY DRY from all the hand washing I do, and they need heavy duty stuff.

I have all the contents of my purse distributed throughout the many pockets of my backpack on weekdays. Let’s see…

    – funky print canvas clamshell wallet.
    – keys on my stuffed owl keychain. 😀
    – glasses in a hard case (for driving at night)
    – sunglasses (for driving during the day)
    – Origins hand cream
    – iPhone in a little Chinese cloth purse (haven’t gotten a case for it yet)
    – gum
    – lipliner (constantly changes)
    – gloss or lipstick (constantly changes)
    – Yes to Carrots C Me Smile Lip Butter in Melon
    – Almost empty MAC Studio Fix compact that I use for the mirror. I won’t carry an actual compact in my backpack cos it gets knocked around a lot.
    – little perfume roller (whatever fragrance I’m using on that given day)
    – 2 Atkins Cranberry Almond Daybreak bars (although those are usually gone by midmorning).

I love your Kate Spade bag, she pairs up fabrics and colours very well. If I were carrying my everyday bag I would have my wallet, cellphone, iPod, a novel, sometimes I carry a mini sketchbook and black ink pen, a compact, lipstick/lipgloss, tissues(if a remember to), tampons, mini vial of fragrance, eye drops, keys and sunglasses. Sometimes I would have a snack, bottle of water and of course I would hide my purchases of the day in it too.

So…I usually carry a notebook, 3 pens, a book (for the train, yo’!), wallet, little makeup bag with lip balm, eye drops, bobby pins, etc, etc. little baggy with pads and shite, keys, ummmm…that’s about it, really. Sometimes my camera. But not on weirdo days like today!

    Hi Karen,

I’ve never heard of the Lara bars. Are they low in sugar? I have to control my sugar intake, so I stick to the Atkins bars. I used to like the South Beach bars too but they recently reformulated, cutting the protein in half and doubling the sugar so I avoid them now. As far as the Atkins meal bars go, I don’t like a lot of the flavors, but with the day break bars, they have some good ones. The berry crumble is tasty (but small), but the Cranberry Almond are really good. I’m kind of addicted, which is okay since they are healthy. 🙂

      Hi Sole,

Bummer they changed the South Beach ones. It sucks when companies change good bars!

I just recently started eating the Lara bars. Here’s a link: http://www.larabar.com/food/about-larabar

I like ’em because they don’t have preservatives, and they taste like real food. My favorite is the Apple Pie Bar. I get ’em at Safeway!

Oh, I’m not sure about the sugar, but I do know that they don’t contain any added sweeteners.

      Hi Jana,

Oh, isn’t that UD Glitter Liner fun? Which color did you get?

I love dancing. I used to do hip hop… it’s been awhile since I’ve been to class consistently though. I miss it!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
