Trail Running

November 2nd, 2009 by Karen 12 Comments

Yesterday I went trail running through the Indian Valley Open Space Preserve in Novato. It was tough going up a few of the hills, but the views made it worth the effort.

What a beautiful landscape! And having the sun out isn’t so bad either.

      Hi Amy,

It was a nice day. The weather’s been warm… I guess it’s still Indian summer here.

      How’s it out your way?

At first I read “train running”, and couldn’t see the train. LOL. When I scrolled down, I got the message =P

      Hi Marce,

Yah! It was a nice discovery. I can’t wait to learn all of the trails (oops, I almost wrote “trains,” ha ha!).

Indian summer is gone here now. It is cold, gray and rainy here.

The hills are alive! Glad that you discovered that trail. That used to be my playground back in the day. I used to swim at the pool at IVC when I was in middle school.

      Hi Marisol,

Lucky you! Where is the IVC pool?

BTW, I am still getting lost in this town. I drove around for 20 minutes today looking for the bank. Sometimes I feel really, really lame, LOL…

The Indian Valley College (IVC) pool is at the end of the campus. I am not sure how far into the trail you got but if you cross it, you end up where Ignacio Blvd ends and that is where the campus is. South Novato Blvd is really the main street in town. it will take you across most of it. You’ll get the hang of it soon enough.

      Hi Marisol,

I wanted to get to Sixth from the Post office and somehow ended up waaaay up in San Marin. A few wrong turns along with rain and no coffee = very confused Karen.

Anywho, I will have to check out that pool. I love swimming so it’s definitely something I’d be interested in.
