More Pumpkin Madness! Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Body Butter

October 25th, 2013 by Karen 32 Comments

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Body Butter

Trader Joe's Pumpkin Body Butter

Of course I had to try it. 🙂

Ever since my friend Heidi (hey, Heids!) mentioned Trader Joe’s Pumpkin Body Butter to me a few weeks ago at lunch, I’d been wanting to get my paws on a jar. I actually went shopping once and they were all gone. Stuff’s in pretty high demand, apparently (the pumpkin hoarders must have cleaned them out).

But on my last TJ’s trip yesterday, I scored and brought one home.

It’s cruelty-free, vegan and smells just like pumpkin pie (the smell makes my tummy rumble). I slathered it all over myself after my shower.

Texture-wise, it’s dense, thick and moisturizing, so it does take a spell to work it in, but when you’re done, it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky at all.

Love that.

As you can probably imagine, it’s limited edition, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it all but disappeared in stores before Thanksgiving.

I’m thinking about getting a second jar. It’s only $4.99.

It IS amazing. Have you picked up anything pumpkin-y lately? I got another box of pumpkin macarons the other day, yum. 🙂

Too bad I don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby 🙁 I picked some stuff from Bath and Body Works, the Pumpkin Cupcake candle is to die for! I have Pumpkin coffee for my Keurig, and just recently I made a pumpkin and beef stew, it was delicious!

SOOO I’m really annoyed because they closed the Bath and Body Works near my house! I went there last weekend hoping to pick up a couple of fall candles and the store is completely gone (it’s being replaced by a Massage Envy).

Oooh, for your pumpkin stew, did you actually cut up a pumpkin?

Ohh, what a bummer about the Bath and Body Works 🙁

I did cut the pumpkin, it was a lot of work! I used a pie pumpkin but it was still very tough, I had to peel it too. But in the end it was worth it!

Oh how I wish we had a Trader Joe’s!! I live in Oklahoma so we don’t have one. 🙁 Maybe it’s a good thing though because all your posts from there make me want to buy all that stuff, so at least I am saving money right? LOL

It’s cool. They also have a lovely Lavender Salt Scrub on shelves, too. Have you tried it? It’s a little oily but great for dry skin.

Sounds delish – I love all things pumpkin spice. This is a great time of year for that reason.

PS They’re calling for snow over the weekend; the boys were in shorts last week! I’m only telling you this so you’ll feel better about any chilly weather you’re having. 🙂

Wha?! I was moaning and groaning last night because it was 56 degrees out and I had to wear a sweater underneath my light jacket. You guys stay warm!

I know, right? I’m honestly sleeping (under flannel sheets and a down comforter) in a fleece sweatshirt, flannel jammie bottoms and wool socks. Of course, I suppose I could turn on the heat. HAHA! The quick transition is a killer!

Great minds think alike, I just bought this too! The smell is maybe a little sweet for what I usually like, but the texture is great. It’s keeping my skin from falling off as the weather gets stupid cold here (until winter break and I can flee back to San Diego!).

Thanks for reviewing this Karen! I have recently become obsessed with Trader Joes. Have you tried their mushroom risotto???!!! SO GOOD! I saw this body butter last time I was there and was thinking about picking it up. I am so getting my paws on some this weekend!

I LOVE this pumpkin body butter! After I tried it, I went back for more & my store was out. They said no more would be coming in this season. I panicked. Luckily, I had to go to SF for a day & was able to stock up there. I admit it–5 more jars came home with me!!!

I am a pumpkin fanatic! And I love going to TJs every year to see what new pumpkin stuff they have to offer. I was disappointed in this, though, as it didn’t smell like pumpkins to me at all. It smelled like apples, which is one of the ingredients. At least it makes my skin soft, otherwise I would give it away!

I picked up this too! And a ton of other pumpkin goods like the pumpkin ice cream, bread pudding, oatmeal, waffles. I like pumpkin!
