The Bkr Bottle Is Quite Possibly the Cutest Water Bottle in the History of the World

I recently told my friend Marisol that I drink an obnoxious amount of water throughout the day. “No, really,” I said. “It’s almost obscene. You’d think I had some weird water obsession or something.”

This came up in conversation one day while we were at HomeGoods, where I was looking for an over-sized XXL cup to hold said water. Marisol mentioned that I should check out her fave water bottles because 1) they’re cute, 2) they come in a variety of fun colors, and 3) they hold an obnoxious amount of water (32 ounces!).

How cute is this?!

It’s a sturdy glass water bottle from bkr, a small company out of San Francisco.

Each bottle comes with a grippy silicone sleeve and a cap with a hand-holder thingamabobber, and their major selling points (besides the cuteness) are that they’re BPA- and phthalate-free. They’re also 100% made with FDA-approved materials.

I’m also told that the caps form a perfect seal.

Mine just arrived today, and it’s HUGE (32 ounces/1 liter)! I ordered the big 1-liter bottle ($42), which I plan to keep on my desk during the day.

I know that $42 is a lot for a water bottle…but I’ll drink from it all day, every day, and it’ll make my desk/office look prettier. 🙂

The shade I picked, “Sugar,” is a warm pinkish coral, and surprise! — it reminds me of flamingos.

The bottles are available in a bunch of other colors and designs on the company’s website, although I got mine from Amazon to get free shipping with Amazon Prime.

There’s also a smaller, travel-friendlier 500 ml/16-ounce bottle for $30 that would be great for throwing into a big purse to run errands.

Now those are SUPER cute!

Especially the ones with love hearts.

Honestly, this is probably the most excited I’ve ever been about a water bottle, LOL! I like to just carry it around the house and hold it.

I was looking for some glass water bottles the other day on Amazon and saw these …can you use hot water in them?

They are cute and yay on the flamingo-y color!

      Hi Carolyn!

I haven’t tried with hot water yet. I don’t see why not, although I probably would’t do boiling hot water or anything just to be extra careful. 🙂

Karen–is this a screw-cap bottles (would you need two hands to open and drink it)? And is the cap plastic? I’ve seen the bkr in fitness mag and thought the handhold is extremely handy to hang off a clip.

For something similar and less costly, I saw the 2-pack glass water bottles with silicone sleeve–the brand is ello at Costco–but these don’t have a handle or a clip.

Correction: There is INDEED a fabric loop attached to the cap of the ello I just mentioned. I just bought the 2 ello glass water bottles with silicone sleeve together for less than 20 bucks. You can drink this one-handed–there is a button you push and the cap pops open (I have to say–I worry about the breaking probability of this mechanism but should be ok). You can also twist off the cap. Lastly, the opening is big enough to fit ice cubes if desired.

Many, many years ago I bought a giant Weight Watchers mug (when I was actually on Weight Watchers). It holds 32 ounces of water. I used to add a ton of ice with the water and as the ice melted I wouldn’t notice that I wasn’t getting to the bottom of the mug. Like I said, I’ve had it for years and it’s pretty funky now. I put it away because I was too embarrassed to take it to work. The straw is stained with lipstick so I stopped using it and the lid, but now the sides of the mug are stained with lipstick. I think it might be time for a new water mug! Maybe that will inspire me to drink more water.

I love this style water bottle. I also drink tons of water throughout the day. I have two bottles in a similar style from Contigo at Target. They’re not glass or this large but I LOVE them!

I’d get it if I thought it would make me drink more water. While not environmentally friendly I keep a 1.5 liter bottle of TJ’s water on my desk.

i love my bkr. I have the 500ml in Gloss – and get compliments all the time. Sugar is gorgeous. I don’t think I could tote around the 1 Liter bottle on a daily basis, but it’s still going on my Amazon wish list

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my BKR bottles. I have 3 in the 500mL size (smaller than what’s pictured in Karen’s post – about 16 oz I think) in the colors Smith (bright apple green), Tiptoe (dusty lavender), and Holiday (aqua). They come with me in the car, to the gym, to work – everywhere! The small opening is easy to drink out of without spilling all over yourself. You’ll need a bottle brush to clean thoroughly, though. Love them!

Oh, Karen, I just love this. And really wanted to get one for myself for ages. I’ve recently bought Hydro Flask cup, and I love it for taking tea with me everywhere. Now, looks like, I have to get BKR finally.
    PS. love your shirt 😉
