Hello, My Name is Cookie Monster

November 11th, 2009 by Karen 25 Comments

Frickin’ Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Stars!

If I could, I’d eat these chocolate-covered shortbread cookies for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They’re THAT good.

I suppose it’s a good thing they’re only available ’round the holidays…

      Hi Marisol,

It’s lattice weave or something-or-other, LOL. I like white plates — they show off the color of the food well!

Can I just say, the Novato TJ’s is like heaven on earth?

If I am near a TJs, I will definitely look for those . . . and it’s rumored (again) that your alma mater will be getting a TJs finally. They’re working up a plan to put it into the U Mall along with a Forever 21. Keep your fingers crossed for us, please! 🙂

Dude, I lived right down the street from that mall. I remember it SUCKING! Is The Grad still there?

      Hi Kelly,

OHHH, funny you should mention Oreos. El Hub and I got into a deep discussion about them the other day. I am an Oreo purist! I like the OG kind — no bells and whistles!

      Hi Kate,

Nice! Stock up… once those bad boys are one they are GONE. Oh, if you happen to wander into the wine section and get tempted by the $3 Sangiovese, skip it. It tastes like feet.

Thank you, Karen, for reminding me that the holidays are around the corner and that I will get a break then.

    Hi Karen,
Most definitely the Grad is still there! The Cantina is gone from downtown though. And we just got a Target last month (can you believe it?!?) just off the Mace exit.

Remember when there was only ONE TJ’s in Marin? Now there are 3 of them. And they are opening the Whole Foods soon and Paradise Market opened over at Ignacio Blvd. I was in town last night meeting friends for dinner & drinks at Boca’s and saw that they had it open. It’s the same ownership as the Paradise Market in Tiburon.

Here it Atlanta, a few of us are addicted to the luckily seasonal peppermint Joe O’s (their version of oreos). They are sooo good. Can’t keep them in the house.

Candy cane Joe Joes are back for the holidays! They are TJ’s oreos with a mint cream with crushed candy canes. Delish!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
