For an Untamed Fringe, Try These Eyelure Texture No. 117 False Lashes

The mac dad will make ya jump, jump!
The daddy mac will make ya jump, jump!
Kris Kross will make ya jump, jump!

Now you’ve got that song stuck in your head, haha!

My work here is done. 🙂

OK, not really… First we have to talk about lashes. False lashes, to be specific.

I like the messy criss-cross action of Eyelure’s Texture No. 117s ($3.99 a pair). The lashes are bundled up into little…bundles (?) that sort of overlap each other to create a wild, untamed criss-cross pattern, for an informal lash look with lots of bulk and a gentle lift at the outer corners.

They come with their own pre-made (heavy, uncomfortable) glue strips, but I skip them and use plain ol’ lash glue instead.

Regularly $4.99 a pair, they’re on sale now at Ulta for $3.99, which I think is a dang good deal for lashes this good.

Eyelures also tend to hold up pretty well. I can usually reuse them at least a few times, as long as I’m careful when I peel them off.

Can I haz this tee??

El Hub makes fun of me all the time for that saying, “I can’t.” I use it when I hit my limit and need a break from something, like when I’m marathoning a show on TV. I’ll say, “I can’t. I just can’t. I can’t. I can’t.” It’s one of my catchphrases. 🙂

So I may have to break my “no more shopping in the juniors section” rule for this shirt by Ten Sixty Sherman ($24) at Nordstrom.

Gah! And I might also need that plaid scarf (the BP Heritage Plaid Square, $24).

I’m a sucker for a cute plaid print.

I don’t think those lashes look that crazy. They actually look fairly natural. My “I can’t” is “Nope” or “OHF*CKNO” depending on the circumstances. Most of the time the Nope is more like “NOOOOPPPPPE!”

Oh no that song is stuck in my head…I like how the box says “Twisty, Messed Up Finish. That outfit is you’ve put together there just needs some 90’s lipstick.

I want the tee, scarf and lashes lol. The lashes remind me of my favorite demi wispies. Super cute and natural!

Another 90’s reference! #Fave. As for no longer shopping in the Jr’s section, I TOTALLY love it. For reference, I’ll be 37 in a few weeks but a) jr section has some really cute clothes, b) love that I can still rock them at my age, and c) they’re more affordable. On the plus side, I have curtailed my penchant for shopping for clothes at Forever 21; though I didn’t say I quit, lol 🙂

That t-shirt though. (Okay, the whole outfit.) I’m having one of those weeks. Still bare-faced for the day and in desperate need of some new lipstick and false lashes to pick me up. I haven’t tried Eyelure yet, so I’ll have to check them out. I have a fancy-pants holiday party to attend Saturday so I can nix the glasses, put on some falsies, and avoid all the awkward face angles.

Love the lashes .. how long can you wear lashes .. like can lashes adhere to the lash line for an 8 hr day? I suppose it depends on glue. How long have you worn lashes in a single day? Anyone can answer 🙂

    That song… Memories.

Why should anyone have a “no more shopping in the juniors section”-rule? You are never too old for a statement shirt. Or shoes that actually fit.

On the lash topic: I like the KIKO ones, but it has been ages since I´ve worn them.

I have that rule in place because I’m 39, LOL. Plus when I see a 14-year-old wearing the same thing as I’m wearing…I dunno, I just think it looks like I’m trying too hard to be hip or something. But maybe that’s just me.

Well, I am 35, so I can partly relate. I tell myself I style those pieces totally different, giving them a more mature look. Probably kidding myself, now that I think of it.
Although I don’t buy there very often, the whole “show your belly”-thing just isn’t for me.

The only thing that would make that tee more perfect is if it said “I CAN’T EVEN”.
I’m so guilty of saying that all the time! Bad habit.
Those lashes are booooooooooooomb. You’re seriously making me want to haul a whole lotta lash!

I love those lashes! They add some oomph while still looking natural. I like the t-shirt and scarf too. I haven’t worn plaid in years, but I’m taking a liking to it again…it’s cozy and the pattern hides cat hair! 🙂

This is so true! And it’s colorful, so it doesn’t limit me to wearing gray clothes. I swear I looked in my closet the other day and 75% of it is gray. Thanks, Tabs. 🙂

I seriously say “I just can’t” 20 times per day. I can’t help it lol. Victoria’s Secret PINK has water bottles with the phrase too 🙂

I like the lashes. The only thing that could make them better would be about 3x the volume. HAHA! I realize that I need help with my lash volume obsession. 🙂

The shirt is cute! You can’t possibly pass up a shirt with your catchprase on it, Juniors section or not. Mine would say “I have absolutely had it with this nonsense”. That’s a bit wordy for a t-shirt, though.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
