March 14th, 2010 by Karen 21 Comments

I’ll be testing, testing, 1-2-3 St. Tropez’s Bronzing Rocks ($40) this week.

BTW, been meaning to ask — what’s your favorite bronzer?

I’ve never actually used bronzer! I have on by Bobbi Brown, but since I bought it about a month or so ago, I have yet to use it…

OMG, that looks gorgeous. I used to use one that Alima made, but I never am really able to find a bronzer that works for my South Asian skin…

I have yet to find a bronzer that doesn’t make me orangey. Even in the summer I’m pale.

I’ve been using MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Medium Deep as a bronzer and I love it! I add a highlighter on my forehead and cheekbones for a little shimmer.

Ooooooo, bronzer! I only discovered the stuff in the last decade, and I love it. I’ve been quite vocal about Bare Minerals’ All Over Face Color in Warmth for the longest time now, but I also like Rimmel’s Natural Bronzer and Bobbi Brown’s Bronzing Powder as well. And I’m all for using non-bronzing mineral powders, too – I’ve used MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Dark before, which I love, and I’m also using Maybelline’s Mineral Power pressed powder in Dark for the same purpose.

(For reference, I’m actually quite tan myself, which is why I’ve stayed away from bronzer for quite a long time!)

i have several bronzers myself, stella is too orangy… bobbi brown is not bad as it is matte, but my personal fave is the nars one… there’s shimmer that make u glow, but not over the top glow that make ur skin look greasy~ plus the colour is really univeral… very bronze, not golden or orange!

As soon as it came out, I had to have it and I use it without fail every single day…
Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. Smells delish and gives me that perfectly bronzed look.
No shimmer, no orangey-ness, just yummy smelling goodness!
I recently hit the pan and will repurchase over and over. Yep, I finally found a HG product!

the only bronzer that doesn’t make me look orange or muddy is NYC Smooth Skin Powder Bronzer in Sunny. it’s CHEAP and awesome and not shimmery… and being discontinued, so if you see it anywhere, it’s worth the $3 🙂

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
