The Recently Reformulated Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick Line

Upgrade! 🙂

Oh, as if anyone could actually improve upon the perfection that is the Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipsticks. They were/are some of my favorite high-end lipsticks around, in large part due to their categorically creamy and righteously rich formula (sorry, adverb overload).

They’re everything I could ever want in an expensive lipstick…except a lower price, ba-dum-tss!

But seriously, they’re packed with pigment, last a really long time, and they’re smoother than a tabby’s tum. Plus, there’s that gorgeous golden tube… I always feel fancy when I take one out of my purse.

But, apparently, Team Dolce & Gabbana did think there was room for improvement, because they recently reformulated and revamped the entire Classic Cream Lipstick line. They also added 20 brand new shades, bringing the new total to 42 (!), divided into six categories — reds, oranges, purples, corals, pinks and nudes.

The five here are just a smattering from the line, but I’m wondering — would you like to see more? I wore Petal the other day, but if you’d like to see more of the others, holla at yo’ girl.

They’re $33 each and available now at Dolce & Gabbana counters at Saks Fifth Avenue stores, Macy’s, Nordies, Sephora and online at saksfifthavenue.com and sephora.com.

Ooh, this is exciting! I love the formula but could not get past the smell, I’m hoping that’s one of the improvements!

    my head just exploded…

I would love a lippie named Black Magic but I usually look too harsh with black lips. Is it really black? OR, more of a sheer type lippie?

And, curiosity… what DO they smell like?

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
