Oh, these vegan flourless thumbprint oatmeal cookies are so good!
So good that when I made them last weekend (for the third time in the past two weeks, mind you), it was the first time I was actually able to successfully exert enough self-restraint to take pics of them before gobbling them up. This batch has a raspberry jam center.
I think they’re good any time of day, but especially at breakfast with a big cup of coffee/tea.
I got the recipe from ohsheglows.com, a vegan recipe site, and it’s blissfully easy to follow.
Warning: you may not want to share these at all with anyone (they’re that good), not even your significant other.
That’s why I recommend making a double batch and hiding them. 🙂
Uumm.. the cookies look so yumm.. I just had my breakfast but still can gobble all of these down ;)..
Will give them a shot and hope they turn out even half as good as yours 😉

Cookies all day long! lol
They look delish! Well done! 🙂 I’ve been loving the Kind Bar Caramel Almond and Sea Salt for breakfast lately. They sort of break your teeth but they are so yummy!
That sounds like the perfect mix of sweet and salty. Have you ever thought of making your own bars? There’s a ton of recipes online. I haven’t tried it yet but I want to!
Oh yeah, those look deliciousss!

I love Ohsheglows! Angela’s recipes are so easy and so delicious, they’ve become a regular in my house. She’s totally inspired me to change my cooking/eating habits.
Hi Reehana,
What are your favorite recipes Ohsheglows? I would love to hear your recommendations for the yummy things that you cook over and over again.
This is probably my favourite: http://ohsheglows.com/2013/07/06/chilled-dark-chocolate-pie-with-toasted-almond-crust-and-strawberry-vanilla-compote/
So decadent and delicious, I’ve seriously started keeping a can of coconut milk in my fridge at all times so that I can whip this up!
I like the Oh She Glows site so much I purchased her book 🙂

I did too! Her site is so good and her cookbook is awesome too! I just made a double batch of her channa masala (from the cookbook) the other day and have been really loving the leftovers for lunch this week.
Will have to mark both the cookies and the channa masala for a future cooking adventure 🙂

These look great, I’m definitely going to try them!
I made them, and man are they delicious! I did half of them with apple butter and the other half with blackberry jam. I’ve only eaten one and trying to resist eating them all >__>

Thanks for the great idea, Karen! 🙂
Ashleigh yours are SO pretty! How did you get the peanut butter all swirly like that?
Haha, thanks but they’re definitely not as pretty as yours!
I put a couple tbsp of natural peanut butter in a plastic bag, cut the corner off to make a tiny pipette, and then warmed the peanut butter in my hands and over the cooling open oven to melt it. If I were to do it over though I would wait until the cookies were cool before pipetting the peanut butter, as it spread out and melted too much on the cookies while they were hot. I would probably also make my plastic bag hole even smaller, if I wanted to get super duper fancy. Hope that helps! 😀 Cookie lovers unite.
Awesome, thank you for the tips. I tried putting the peanut butter on with a spoon and it was a complete fail! It just clumped up in the middle and looked like a kindergartner did it. LOL. I’m going to make these again tonight (!) and will try that.
I’m always on the lookout for new recipes, especially vegan ones for one of my clients. These look amazing & delicious & I’m looking forward to making a batch or three!
Hi Holly,
Ooh, clients! Are you a personal chef?
Sort of; my clients moved across country…but I do cater for a local indie film company on the weekends & I’m working with one girlfriend on a cookbook & with another friend to make foodie gifts for Christmas (spice blends, extracts, dried fruits, etc).
You KNOW I love your food pics and stories! I just printed the recipe and can’t wait to make them. it will be an easy snack to bring to work.
Going to read the recipe in 3…2…1… 😉
YUM! I love those types of cookies. Kinda like cereal bars for adults!
