Better Together: Hourglass Illume Creme to Powder Duo in Sunset and Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light

Wearing the Illume Creme to Powder Duo in Sunset with Ambient Lighting Powder in Mood Light, both by Hourglass Cosmetics, on my cheeks

This cheek combo saw a lot of action last weekend. So easy, fresh and summery.

What I do is sweep the rosy side from the Creme to Powder Duo in Sunset on the apples of my cheeks (it layers so easily on bare skin, foundation and/or powder), then dust the Mood Light Ambient Powder on the tops of my cheekbones using a Louise Young LY20 Super Fan Brush.

One word: OBSESSED!

Try it sometime, and if you do send me a pic.

Ideally with your cat.

A cat selfie. 🙂

Both products are available now at Hourglass counters and online (hourglasscosmetics.com, sephora.com).

Colours = pretty and look = great (as always!) but I gotta admit I’m totally distracted by how the close up photo of Mood looks like a super comfy corduroy pillow… 😀

Maybe I’m just sleepy at the moment, LOL!

This is super pretty and fresh! Mood Light has to be the least talked about of the Ambient Lighting powders, but look how beautiful it is!

I’m so glad I saw this post! I’ve had mood light for a while now and I never thought of adding it to a cheek color. I’m so fair that it’s too dark and too pink for my skin tone but this is a great idea!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
