The Benefits of It: Benefit It Girl Fall 2009

July 18th, 2009 by Karen 22 Comments

benefit it girl collection fall 2009 collection

Happy Saturday, ladies. 🙂 I wanted to post some pictures of the new Benefit It Girl collection for fall 2009 before heading to a Chanel Master Class at Macy’s this afternoon.

I hope this gives you an idea of the collection. So far the lipsticks are kinda blowing me away.

It Girl’s a small collection of six pieces for lips and eyes, and the colors are definitely pretty, but what I’d characterize as traditional for fall: plum, berry, pewter and pink.

Three new Full Finish Lipsticks

The release includes three new Full Finish Lipsticks ($18) in Breakup Rumor (a shimmery golden plum), Fame Game (a shimmery cool pink) and Label Lover (a shimmery golden peachy pink).

Velvet Eyeshadows

I’m a little bummed that there aren’t any Creaseless Cream Shadows in this release, but at least we’re getting three Velvet Eyeshadows ($19), yay!

There’s one new shade — I Cannes & I Will. It’s a shimmery plum. The other two colors, Fawn Over Me (a shimmery beige) and Where There’s Smoke (a shimmery pewter), are re-promotes of colors that are currently available.

The collection arrives at Benefit counters next month but is already available online (Full Finish Lipsticks and Velvet Eyeshadows).

I’m off! Be back in a few. 🙂

Ooh, these lipsticks are just gorgeous! They look less scary on than they do in the tubes too.

Have a great time at the master class!

:giggle: The video is so giggle-worthy.

I would like one of each of Benefit products please….unless they’re fragranced. Are they fragranced? My skin doesn’t like fragrance. I. Don’t. Want. Hives. I’ve been to the hospital enough for one year, I think.

Hm, the NW20 skin needs to be about two shades lighter (or you can just Photoshop the freckles out) and you’d have me.

Have fun. Zena’s head is tilting back and forth with her ears pricked right up to the Tabs music. Ha ha ha! It’s cute and funny at the same time.

I’m intrigued by the lippies! I tend to only like Benefit’s Creaseless cream shadows, lippies and blush. Not sure about the rest.

      Hi Mishel,

Hey girl! It’s been a minute. How has your summer been?

Things on this end have been pretty good. I’m looking for a new place to live and just chugging along as usual. 🙂

Yup, Ulta should carry the Benefit line (I know they have it on their website).

    Hey Karen!
The new lippies do look nice, and Benefit is one of the few higher end lines available in my smaller town so I will for sure check it out when I get back in the fall.

I didn’t comment on the post, but the new UD stuff for fall looks amazing!!

      Hi Karen B.,

The Full Finish lippies are some of the best products in the Benefit line. Have you tried any of ’em?

      Hi Cindyrela,

I’d say it was warm. It has a lot of warm bronzy/gold shimmer.

      Hi Meg,

The Full Finish lipsticks are awesome. Lightweight, non-drying… plus, they last all day long!

If you get the chance check out their summer stuff. There’s a shade called Thrillin’ Brazilian that’s all sorts of hotness.

I do like the Benefit lippies and the blush that you showed. The texture of their lipsticks is very nice and the price reasonable, too. Do you know that they have fragrance, too. I have smelled two and like them both, as they are very lovely and largely unknown. Now hear this. I went to the Chanel counter last week. I tried to keep myself in check. The Murano eye quad (got it) is simply beautiful in shades of blue with one in pick. I think you would look spectacular with your coloring in that one. I fell for that tweed blush-peachy with gold. Am I a sucker or what. However, I did change up my world a little. I went back to the 1980’s and bought a browny colored Rouge Allure called “Captive” and a browny lip pencil called “Cardamon”. You would look stunning in them. My Chanel Makeup Artist Sonia, who is my age, like a fine wine and gorgeous, too, showed me a gold glossimer. I have one that I received as gratis by Laura Mercier so I could pass on that one. Even though it is not fall yet, it feels like fall here in the ‘Burgh. This has been the coolest summer that I can remember and so therefore, I have worn my fall colors twice. Let us know what you see and get tomorrow. Louise
