Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer Demo and Application

January 14th, 2016 by Karen 9 Comments

There should be a video right up here in this post, but if it isn’t appearing for any reason, you can click here to watch it on YouTube.

How good is new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer?

To put it in heavily hyphenated terms, it’s get-out-of-your-pajamas,-put-on-your bra-again-(right-after-you’ve-taken-it-off-for-the-evening),-and-drive-straight-to-Sephora-immediately good.

Yup, that good!

If you haven’t seen the swatches yet or read the review, here you go.

And here it is in all its magical action (in the video), along with a few more observations and a mini-review. 🙂

Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Concealer: the basic scoop

  • Available now online and at Make Up For Ever counters, stores and Sephora in 10 shades; $27 for a 0.23-oz. tube.
  • The 10 shades are divided into two complementary groups — the color-correcting shades, which include R20 Porcelain, R22 Pink Beige, R30 Beige, R32 Peach Beige and R40 Apricot Beige; and the concealing shades, which include Y21 Pearl, Y23 Ivory, Y31 Sand, Y33 Vanilla and Y41 Honey.
  • The setting powder I mention in the video is MAC Mineralize Natural in Medium ($32)

As always, thank you for watching!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

At nearly $60 for 2 shades, that’s not too economical to use correcting and concealing shades…bummer, they look great.

Wow! This concealer looks so natural and not cakey at all. I hope they broaden their color selection soon, as well- goodness knows there are many of us who could use a little pick me up during those dreaded sleep deprived days (…or weeks). lol

I really need to stop by Sephora and check these out. I don’t really have too dark of circles, so I’m hoping I can get away with just a concealing shade without having to buy a correcting shade. (Dear Husband wants me to try and do a “no buy” this year.

All babies are different, but my girl didn’t keep me up all night. At first I could get her down to sleep after dinner time, but then she would up somewhere between 1 and 3 am to be fed. The problem is they have such tiny stomachs at first that they need to be fed every 4 hours or so. I had her in Holland and the nurses there were really big on trying to set a rhythm right away, so that eventually you ended up with a schedule.
I found that instead of trying to make dinner or the house was picked up I would nap during the day when she was sleeping. It doesn’t make up for a lack of 8 hours sleep, but it helped.

I’m going to try and set my Bobbi Brown corrector with powder before applying concealer on top! I’ve never done that because I thought it would look cakey, but I’ll try your ‘pat then roll’ technique.
I always have the feeling that when I apply concealer, it mixes up with the corrector and almost cancels out its camouflage effect. Thanks for the tip, I think it might be exactly what I needed! 🙂

The effect is really awesome. So far I have only used the Bobby Brown Corrector underneath my concealer, but that has truly been a revelation for me when I discovered it.

Just tried these in Sephora, and they really are fantastic! Just super pricey, so I’m torn. The SA used Benefit Porefessional powder to set, and it was really nice…would have never thought to do that.
