MAC Dazzleglass in Boys Go Crazy From the MAC Le Disko Collection, and a Sticky Situation

June 22nd, 2015 by Karen 26 Comments

mac boys go crazy
Wearing MAC Dazzleglass in Boys Go Crazy from the new MAC Le Disko collection ($20)

If getting your hair stuck in your lipgloss ever becomes a thing — and since we live in a world where teenagers dye their hair gray and mascara wands vibrate, I feel like this is a distinct possibility — gimme a tube of MAC Dazzleglass, and I’ll be sooo set.

Seriously, these glosses are mad sticky! — like stickier than a MAC Lipglass even.

I’ve worn Dazzleglasses before, and they always get stuck in my hair, even when I wear my hair up in a pony or braid it.

Shoot, I could shave my head a la Charlize in Mad Max: Fury Road, and I bet that random strands of hair would still find their way to my lips. The stickiness is that serious.

But dat glitter tho!! Here I’m wearing MAC Dazzleglass in Boys Go Crazy ($20) because I wanted to see how the eye look I did earlier with the Dazzleshadows from the new MAC Le Disko collection would look with an intense, sparkly lip.

Even though I like how sparkly Boys Go Crazy looks here, I can’t ignore the stickiness. It makes these pretty tough to wear, especially when Tabs decides that it’s time to get all up in my grill and bumps his forehead against my chin.

Yeah, you try removing half a pound of cat hair from your Dazzleglass, and let me know how that goes!

Boys Go Crazy is one of five Dazzleglasses in MAC Le Disko, but because of the stupendously sticky formula, I probably won’t be delving further into the other shades. If you’re still interested, though, 1) you are one brave (cat) lady, and 2) you can find them now at MAC counters, stores and online.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I don’t mind the stickiness of MAC’s glosses, but I HATE glitter I can feel.

Cat hair sticking to lipgloss is like the story of my life…
Too bad is uber-sticky though, because man does it look good. So much depth!

“Yeah, you try removing half a pound of cat hair from your Dazzleglass, and let me know how that goes!” Reason 1-100 why I hate lipgloss.

I love the way this looks on you, but I hate anything sticky on my lips, so I’m just going to have to pass this one up. =( So pretty, though!!

It looks gorgeous and the glitter is so pretty but sticky gloss? No, thank you! Too bad this whole collection is somewhat disappointing!

I’ve been feeling the dark lip and interesting colors lately. I’ll avoid the sticky mess and play with some new OCC Lip Tar instead — Technopagan arrived yesterday 🙂

Yuck, cat hair in lipgloss is even worse than your own hair! I only own one Dazzleglass and rarely wear it for this reason.
Not that I have a cat at the moment, but I have a lot of hair all by myself.

That first pic of you is really stunning!!! LUV the eye shadow!

Sticky is OUT. No way. Three cats worth of cat hair and sticky ANYTHING just DO NOT WORK. NO.

There are vibrating mascara wands? …Why?

If I could stand glitter in my lipgloss this would soooo have my name on it. I cannot get enough of the purple tinged lippies! At some point in my adult life though I became completely averse to glittery lipglosses because of the texture of the glitter. Is anyone else like this? I can barely even do a shimmer anymore. Looks like it’s cremes 4 eva for me. I still like seeing these posts though because Good God It’s Beautiful!

Well it photographs beautifully 😀 I cannot stand sticky lip glosses. I just don’t even buy lip gloss anymore because it bugs me so much so these definitely aren’t the lippies for me!

I don’t care how sticky it is…this color is gorgeous on you!! :)!!

I love the look of glosses, and own about 5 million, but just can’t wear them anymore because of the hair situation, and I also drink water and tea 24/7 so I wind up wasting and drinking my glosses.

Haha, it looks so cute, but no way I’ll wear lip glosses – any of them. I have a trauma from wearing sticky, stinky, poor quality glitter filled lip glosses from when I was a young teen. It got everywhere, and I then started to get obsessive about avoiding the stickiness. But it was impossible and drove me crazy, so I just stopped. Bits of product stayed on still after a long shower!! 😛

The most opportune time for a kitty head bump is when you’re wearing sticky gloss, it’s in the handbook. (just sayin’) lol

p.s. this color is FAB! mega sexy!

Sometimes I feel like I’m the only person who still likes a good lipgloss. Maybe it’s because I was in high school during the late 90s/early 2000s, that seemed like a lipgloss high point. All these matte lips are fine, but dang I want something sparkly and sheer for summer!

Karen you look stunning in that first pic! I ended up with this gloss after buying one of the holiday sets a while back and it turned out to be my favorite. It just looks so cool on! And the name is irresistibly cute lol. The formula is pretty sticky though. I’d love it so much more if it had more of a Cremesheen feel
