The Chanel Collection Nuit Infinie De Chanel Collection for Holiday 2013: Cheeks and Lips

Chanel Collection Nuit Infinie De Chanel: Cheeks and Lips

  • Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Accent ($43): A sheer pinkish beige with a hint of plum and a sheen finish; I need 2-3 layers to see it on my cheeks
  • Poudre Universelle Libre Natural Finish Loose Powder in Moon Light ($52): A sheer peachy beige with glitter; I’d use this sparingly, otherwise skin can end up looking REALLY glittery
  • Rouge Allure Lipstick in Radieuse ($34): A blueish pink with a smooth and creamy texture and soft shine finish; surprisingly wearable
  • Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in La Precieuse ($43): A vivid red matte that leans slightly blue; similar to MAC Ruby Woo, but with a thinner texture and less severe matte finish
  • Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick in La Desiree ($43): An extremely pigmented burgundy red matte with smooth texture; can’t skip the lip liner with this one

Karen, are you sure you’re not some sort of Super Secret Sales Associate (SSSA) for Chanel? (not that Tabs would approve of you moonlighting for Karl Lagerfeld and his boss lady Choupette. You would be in trrrrouble for sure!). I just mean I’d pretty much convinced myself that I could give Chanel holiday a miss, and then you reel me back in with the blush, and the illusion d’ombres (ok so I’m usually weak on those anyway), and maybe the mascara. And maybe I’ll go back for the rouge moire nail polish… Oh that slippery Chanel slope. I seriously hope you are a SSSA cause you’d deserve some kind of commendation or commission or othe bonus that starts with “c”. 😉

Wow love the lipsticks! I’m pretty sure I’m going to pick up La Desiree, gorgeous. Going to wear my pearl earrings this weekend, they look so cute on you!

Those lipsticks look beautiful and so does the blush. The powder looks really shimmery, it might be too much, especially for every day looks.

Those lipsticks are beautiful! I especially love La Desiree…I’m loving the darker lip trend for the fall/holiday season and this shade fits that perfectly while still keepin’ it classy. The powder is meh; I think it’d be too shimmery for my tastes.

I was really hoping to see the blush on you, since you and I are pretty similar in skin color. I actually really like it. Hmm, now I might have to get it

Is it bad when your inner voice screams, “Go away, Chanel, you foul temptress!”? La Desiree is gorgeous and right up my 1990s alley. 🙂

I am obsessed with Chanel’s glitter powder and stock up on it every year! I definitely do not use it sparingly 😉 But I get complements on it all the time.

How do you recommend using the powder? I received it as a gift and I’m trying to figure out a way to use it without looking like a disco ball!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
