Seriously, how many more of these are they gonna do?!
The newest incarnation of ze Naked palette calls itself Naked Wild West (no relation to Kanye), and it’s inspired by the California desert.
No, not dessert. DESert. ?
I patted Rustler, the shimmery bronze shade, on my lids and was surprised to see taupe-y grey undertones when I blended out the edges.
Kinda cool…both literally and figuratively, hahaha. To complement the gray, I lined my upper lash line with an angled brush that I’d dipped into Pony Up, the matte dark gray.
I did remember to tap my brushes to unload any excess powder before applying but still ended up with a little bit of fallout on my cheeks. Not a lot though…
I hadn’t done my base yet (a 50/50 mix of Urban Decay 24-Hour Hydration in 50 Medium, and Lancôme Skin Feels Good in Tan, set with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural) so I just wiped it off. No biggie.
For my cheeks, I swept a low-key hero from the UD permanent line, the Stay Naked Threesome trio in Naked, onto my cheeks (the bronzer and the blush).
Incidentally, I’m still on an Origins sheer lipstick kick, so I layered two shades on my lips — Honey Blush and Fuchsia Fields — to finish the look.
Just for fun, I tried the makeup with a brighter lip using Honest Beauty Passion.
It’s nice to have options, ya know?
In other news…I’m all “mommed out” from the birthday excitement of the past few days, and I’m super tried right now! I skipped exercising yesterday, so I told myself this morning that I had to work out today…but right now all I want to do is take a nap.
Ugh, I know I’ll feel better when I’m done with it though. I just have to remind myself that I don’t have to give it 100%… 50% today will do!

I dream of an Urban Decay Naked Olive – lots of neutrals with some fabulous shimmery olive and khaki shades.

I would be all over that! They would have to have a beautiful gold pearl in there, too!

Love this simple look on you! And I’ll say it again, I love your hair!
Being a neutral to cool toned gal I like four colors in this palette; standoff, laredo, rustler and pony up. I really love Rustler, wonder if I have anything close to that already.
Lol. That trophy from Target!
If you don’t feel like killing yourself with a workout, grab a mask and go for walk outside. 30 to 60 minutes. Just to get some fresh air into the lungs. You’ll feel better tomorrow!

That’s a good idea! It’s sunny outside so I just might do that.
Re: hair. If you ever want to trek up here for a haircut I’ll happily give you the stylist’s info. She was really good!
Did you workout with your trainer, btw? Hope you’re having a nice one so far.

Thanks for the offer of the stylist contact. I just had my hair cut. My stylist offered to double mask and she cut my hair on her outdoor deck. Cut off 6 to 8 inches. It’s ridiculous, but I feel younger, lighter and more like myself. It’s just a haircut but it’s made me want to take better care of myself than I have been lately.
No trainer on Thursday, it’s my SF Ballet zoom class day. Zooming with the trainer tomorrow.

Gorgeous look! Your skin looks so nice and I love the lips. And your hair is still absolutely fabulous.

So glad you posted on this palette. Do you think it’s a must have? I’m trying to cut back on buying eyeshadow palettes but I like the colors in this palette. I like the eye look you did.

I think the names on this palette were more inspired by old western movies than anything having to do with the California desert. For one thing, Laredo is in extreme south Texas! I lived in the Mojave as a child. The names they could have used: Calico (for ghost town), Red Rock (for the canyon), Joshua Tree Green, Desert Sky Blue (not teal, but closer to turquoise), California Poppy, Death Valley Sand Dune, Obsidian, etc., etc.

That target trophy really speaks to me, I feel like we all deserve one of them for adulting so hard throughout the last year.
Our birthday party will be on Sunday and I am already tired just thinking about it.
