I’m Nuts About the Bite Beauty Cashew Multistick

Current favorite eyeshadow base: Bite Beauty Cashew!

Girl, this is the best color…although I don’t know what it has to do with cashews.

It did give me an excuse to eat some shortly after I took this picture…

You might remember the $24 Bite Beauty Multisticks from earlier this fall when they came out in a bunch of colors. You can use them on your lids, your cheeks and/or your lips, and this particular shade, Cashew, is a warm rosy mauve.

I like to use it as an eyeshadow base for cooler-toned purple and gray eyeshadows — especially shimmery purples and grays — but I think it also looks really pretty on its own.

Sometimes on minimal makeup days, I’ll just stick this on my lids directly with the stick and kind of draw on my lids, which is weird and fun at the same time. Then I’ll use either a finger or a tapered brush to buff out the edges.

After that, I’ll curl my lashes and tightline my upper lash line with black liner, and that’s it. Easy and it looks natural.

If you want to do more than that, you could take whatever shimmery purplish gray shadow is rocking your world at the moment, and the one I love right now is MAC Extra Dimension Eye Shadow in Fathoms Deep (it’s what I’m wearing with Cashew in the second pic — the one where I’m wearing a bit more makeup), and just pop that right on top. Then blend them together.

Wearing Cashew on my lids, a mix of NARS Lovejoy and Amour blushes on my cheeks; and NARS Playpen Velvet Lip Glide on my lips

The wear time is pretty darned good. When I put Cashew on my lids without primer in the morning, my eyeshadow still looks fairly fresh when I take it off at night (both the stick and whatever shadows I put on top of it).

I added a few bits to the look in the pic above to add some drama-for-yo-mama! Cashew as a base on my lids again, but with MAC Fathoms Deep Eye Shadow on top. Same blushes (NARS Amour and Lovejoy). The lip is NARS Unspeakable Velvet Lip Glide.

Since you can also use these sticks on your lips and cheeks, they give you options, but I mostly use this one as an eyeshadow base. But you have the option.

Remember snacks at Sears?

Cashews remind me of going to Sears when I was a kid, because back in the day, Sears used to have stands in the middle of the store where you could actually get snacks!

Does anybody else remember this, or am I #datingmyself?

You could get popcorn, Icees and nuts. My dad would always get me a bag of warm cashews and a red cherry Icee.

Yum. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

OMG, I DO remember that, but it’s possible we’re both in the same age group 😀

I always wanted a cherry ICEE!

OMG – bringing back memories of the scent of roasted cashews wafting through Sears. Making my tummy grumble…

I remember very well! We always shopped at Sears growing up and we never left without getting something. When I was little I always got the chocolate stars, and then my mom got me to try her double dipped choc peanuts. O M G!!! Best ever, have never found any as good as theirs!

I love this colour, but I’m worried it might be a bit too pigmented for my NC15 skin?

I wish Bite Beauty was more easily available here. I’d love to try this formula.
