Benefit Cosmetics Newest Boxed Blush: Sugarbomb

December 15th, 2009 by Karen 30 Comments

Hiya, girls! I hope you’re having a great day. I’m sorry for the late post; been busy procrastinating and fooling around…

Of course, I couldn’t leave you hanging without a quick peek at Benefit’s newest boxed blush, Sugarbomb ($28).

The deets…

  • Contains four shades of shimmery peach, plum, pink and rose designed to be swirled together and worn on the cheeks
  • It doesn’t hit Benefit counters until February, but it’s already available for purchase online
  • It’s supposed to impart a lovely soft glow (I’ll let you know!)

Isn’t it pretty? 🙂

Expect a more detailed review soon…

Hope you’re having a good day so far! Let me know how you’re doing.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I wanna know all about it! And how much am I loving the box? 🙂

My whole week is freaky-busy, but I’m looking forward to a mini-vacay on Saturday! Hubby and I are spending the day and night in SF for our anniversary! 22 years ago he asked me to be his girlfriend… awwww!

I’ve been eyeing this out on Sephora’s website for awhile now… can’t wait for the full review! I love Benefit’s blushes, especially Dallas :D!

Have you seen the new Benefit primer? It’s supposed to be an eye shadow primer & concealer primer! I wanted to purchase it with the use of my $15 gift card. Sadly I had to use mine instores where they don’t carry it yet… I hate S&H for Canada, it prevents me from shopping online where the real fun starts!!

Oooh, I am excited to see your review! I put this on my sephora wishlist that I sent to my momma and I’m pretty sure she got it for me 🙂

After one of your lovely polls I noticed that a ton of people were wearing benefit’s coralista, so that inspired me to wear it and I have been wearing it almost everyday since! It’s one of the few products I can think of that I actually like the included brush.

My day has been rough 🙁 so much to do at work. I need to keep my eye on the prize: time off starting on the 24th. Just need to keep chugging away and get a lot done before then.

How is your week going? Are you ready for your trip to HI?

Ooo I have had my eye on this one! I’ve heard that it is like NARS Orgasm with finer glitter–if that is true, as soon as my Orgasm runs out (teehee) I would pick this one up as a replacement right quick!

I’ve been eyeing this online. I have pale skin, so hopefully it will work for me. I’ve been thinking of trying Coralista too, just haven’t gotten around to it yet.

I know it doesn’t hit counters until Feb. but the boutiques have it. I saw it at the Mill Valley one about two weeks ago. I was in a rush so I didn’t get to play with it. But I just got a benefit gift card from my sister so this looks tempting.

Hopefully you aren’t as stressed as you were this morning. Remember to take a moment to breath and perhaps get a spoonful of Nutella.

Sugarbomb caught my eye at sephora.com In the box, SB looks like it would be great for my C30/40 skin, but your swatch is both pinker and frostier than I expected so I’m excited that you’ll be reviewing it. And if you can compare it to Petticoat, that would be fantastic! because Petticoat didn’t work for me 🙁

I so want that … but the Hubs said im not getting any make up for Christmas from him … 🙁

I guess I have to go ahead and get it this Sunday when I meet with my auntie at the mall for lunch …

Other than my forever obsession with eyeshadows, ive been on a blush kick lately and have ventured out of my long love affair with Benetint and Posietint — so this blush will be a very welcome addition to my stash!

Yay thanks for the information, Karen! 🙂

Oh! I already bought this from the Chestnut St. Benefit, I was surprised that it worked so well with my skin tone (NC20) since there was plum and a rose colour in there. I thought it might be a little overwhelming, but it wasn’t as pigmented as I thought. So, yay!

I also saw this in some of the Sephoras and Benefit counters in Bloomies/Nordies around SF while I was there for 5 days (I’ve since moved to Norway in the last six months). But then again, just like when Benefit released their new glosses, I think when it hits the counters and actual release dates varies when you live in the Bay Area ;o)

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
