A Quick Peek at the Dolce & Gabbana Holiday 2010 Makeup Collection

September 28th, 2010 by Karen 22 Comments

Wait — holiday already!? Yep, in makeup-ville. Here’s a quick look at the new Dolce & Gabbana holiday 2010 stuff; let me know what you think. 🙂

The release should hit Saks shelves around mid-October. Prices TBA, but I’m assuming they’ll be pretty standard for the brand (codeword for pricey).

Wearing the fourth lipstick in the collection, Desert (not shown at the top)

The collection includes four lipsticks (there are only three in the pic at the top, but I’m wearing the fourth shade below), two glosses, one eyeshadow quad, one eyeshadow duo, one blush, a bronzer, two lip pencils and an eyeliner.

See you on the other side of the Atlantic!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Oh my, what an awesome collection! Haven’t tried their makeup before, but I think I should be able to get them here in the UK. The eyeshadow duo and the blush…lemming…..

I’ve never tried D&G make-up before but the more I see of it, the more I like it. I like the look of this collection, maybe it’ll be the start of something beautiful… Gonna have to keep an eye out for it over here in the UK.

Love. Exactly the boring kinds of colors that I favor…which sadly means I already have too much that’s too similar!

These colors seem unusual for a holiday collection. Maybe it’s for people who spend their holiday on a yacht in the Seychelles? 😉

Oh, be still, my heart! Usually D&G doesn’t make my heart flutter, but that eye quad and those glosses are killer! *Sigh*

Thanks for sharing the pics! 🙂

    Karen,
You are the luckiest girl I know, well for now…hahaha. So awesome of you to bring us makeup news all the way from Milan! Now you must tell me are the locals there dressed fabulously everyday like the pics from the Sartorialist? I also loved your Bryan Boy shout out!

I think you pressed me enough to finally try on the lipsticks/glosses at the D&G counter next time I go to Saks. I am still obsessing over another pricey item from the beauty dept. – By Killian fragrances!!

Well I’ve never tried D&G makeup before but if I can afford it I’m definitely interested in this collection – I love neutrals!

Hmmm these don’t really seem “holiday,” to me. Pretty packaging as usually though.

Hmm all those nude browns are an interesting twist. It seems like a smart financial move on D&G’s part though. The shades you typically think of in a holiday collection, while fun, are not the most perpetually useful shades, and with people watching their spending (luxury spending is down what %10 the last few months?) they might be able to tempt more people with things they can sort of justify as “useful” rather than just “pretty and fabulous.”

I hope you had a blast in Milan. I bet Tabs and El Hub are just climbing the walls without you.

hahaha I love how makeup time is in the future. The lipsticks are my favorite out of all the items, I can’t wait for the holidays! Now if the weather could stop rising over a hundred degrees here…I’m all for sun, but this is just ridiculous.

I agree with Amber and Amy – these colors aren’t what comes to mind when I think of holiday. Of course, you know my penchant for shiny and glitter. 🙂 I guess this is D&G’s way of saying we should look pretty during the holidays and our make-up shouldn’t compete with the Christmas tree decorations!
