Whoopity-whoop-whoop with a side of whoooooop! You guys…Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation is SO GOOD. If you like less-is-best makeup, also known as “Meghan Markle Style,” check it out. (Side note: I’d never been so into a royal wedding before. I LOVED MM’s minimal makeup wedding look.)
Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation ($36 for a 1.6-oz. tube, available in 20 shades)
The pump and lightweight tube = travel friendly. This medium-coverage foundation has a satin finish, and it’s a cinch to apply. A 3/4 pump is enough for me, and I just blend it with fingers. Sometimes I set it with powder; sometimes I don’t.
I flat-out love this stuff! It makes my skin look like a supernatural version of itself. I feel like I just stepped off a page in a magazine.
“Peach Perfect is infused with refreshing peach and sweet fig cream in Too Faced’s exclusive comfort matte long-wearing formula. This is the modern way to wear matte foundation — photo friendly, smooth, flawless, and comfortable with a soft-focus, velvety finish.”
It does a little of everything — blurs pores, evens out your skin tone (but still lets your freckles show if you sheer it out), controls oil, and it lasts 10+ hours for me.
What a nice surprise from Too Faced. 🙂
Incidentally, I think it’s easy to see Too Faced as cheeky “starter makeup” for teens/tweens (kinda like Benefit), but this foundation is the real deal. I’m serious. It’s totally up there with the best of the best in the space (like NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint). In fact, I like this a little more because it’s easier to blend, costs $11 less, and comes in more shades.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5 out of 5 hearts.
Did you know? To get a “no-makeup” makeup look with foundation, I like sheer it out (and sometimes skip it altogether) in strategic places, like on the bridge of my nose, so that my freckles come through. Ensuring that your real skin peeks through in some areas helps to dial down the “cake face” factor.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I’ve heard good things about all of their peach themed products!

Ooh la la! I’ll definitely need to check this out next time I’m at Sephora. Adding it to the mental list…

It smells like peaches too, right?
Karen says
Hi Sarah,
There’s a scent, and it’s very faint. Kinda like peaches and figs? Hope that makes sense. I really have to get my nose up in there to smell it.
Sarah says
Thank you!! I really need to try this…
Karen says
You’re welcome! I’m glad they decided to pull back on the fragrance, because even though I don’t mind a scented product with peaches sometimes it can be too sweet, you know what I mean? When you try it let me know what you think. I hope it works for you!

Okay I just posted that I need a new foundation so I’ll definitely check this out or try to get a sample!
Karen says
I hope one of the lighter shades works for you. Even if it isn’t a perfect match it’s still very easy to sheer out. 🙂

I see what you did there. 😉 Yes I do think of Too Faced as starter makeup but this looks like a must try for me. I’m looking for a new medium coverage foundation right now so this is perfect timing.

Wow, thank you Too Faced for having super-light shades!! I’ll have to grab a tube; I really like a barely-there foundation in the summer.
I like how the less-is-more makeup look is suddenly “Meghan Markle Style”. It’s been “my style” for like, 30 years now, lol. Although I freely admit she does it much better. 🙂

Sounds fab! We have an outdoor group picture at the beginning of July and I’ve been thinking about what to wear. It will presumably be hot so something that won’t melt off but will still look natural. Of course, I’m stuck on it having SPF even though I know I could use sunscreen separately. I’m actually shocking myself that I’m giving it so much thought. Look what you’ve done to me! HAHA!
Karen says
Did you ever try the NARS Velvet Matte? It has SPF 30!
Kim says
No, I haven’t tried it in years. I have a Pure Radiant sample right now but that’s a very different finish, as you know. 🙂 Btw, I’ve been wearing the Shiseido Wet Force and it seems to be fine. Might have just been a bad combo with whatever I’d layered on top that first day.

I tend to not buy Too Faced, but I think I´ll make an exception for this foundation.

Does it have a scent?
