Too Faced La Crème Color Drenched Lipstick Swatches

March 28th, 2016 by Jen Clark 32 Comments

Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipsticks

We live in a world filled with uncomfortably drying matte lipsticks.

They are EVERYWHERE!

But I took a much-needed break from the discomfort with the Cruelty Free Lipsticks by Too Faced this week, and let me tell ya, it felt gooood.

These lipsticks are smooth and balmy with a surprising color payoff. Normally, when I go for moisture and comfort, the appearance takes a hit, but not this time! Even with nasty, cracked lips with dry patches (I have notoriously dry lips, mm yummy), these smooth over the top and make them look a lot better than they did, and I appreciate the heck out of that.

Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipsticks

There are 22 gorgeous shades to choose from, 10 of them being brand-spankin’ new! There are a couple of perfect nudes, some amazing pinks, and even some stunning darker vamp-y shades.

I just have to gush over the packaging for a sec… Ugh, it feels so luxurious! There’s something about a heavily weighted golden lipstick tube that just makes you feel a little bit better about life, and I love to wear these partly for the experience of putting them on.

I doubt that I’m the only one who feels that way, or at least, I hope I’m not the only one who gets that excited about lipstick. 🙂

Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lipsticks

Now, I’m just going to warn you, but beware of the shades with glitter/shimmer in them, and there are quite a few, because this is not a subtle glitter. I’m talking, I felt like I could have been the sixth member of the Spice Girls. You may now call me Shimmer Spice.

I’m not saying I hate them. In fact, part of me loves them! Just make sure you’re aware that they pack a punch if you plan to order online. Take a peek at the swatches down below if you want to see what I’m talking about, although it’s not as obvious as it is in real life.

Isn’t that pigmentation amazing!? If you need a break from drying lipsticks, give these a try. Comfort and amazing color all in one!

Thank goodness they put up with the madness, because I love chatting about my favorite things with people who understand the addiction.

I don’t care how gorgeous a lipstick is, if it’s drying I won’t wear it. So I’m glad these feel so pleasant on the lips and offer the best of both worlds! I’m not sure if any of the shades are for me though. None of them really stand out for me at the moment.

They really are so comfortable! These are just the brand new shades, I think there’s about 12 others that I don’t even have so if you’re interested in the formula maybe check out the other shades they have 🙂

Loving the way these look on you! I’m inexplicably drawn to Unicorn Tears but I feel like it couldn’t possibly be something I could pull off on a day to day basis at work. What are your thoughts? Would it layer well over something else to tone down that blue undertone?

Thank you! Not gonna lie, it’s pretty intense, even more so than the pictures! It might look really pretty layered over a different color, I’ll have to try that!

Mean Girls looks a lot like Mac Pink Poodle (2000 and 2012 releases) but with glitter. Yes? If so, that’s a really hard blue-pink color to find. Thanks for all the pics!

HI Jen! Laughed at your “Shimmering Spice” comment! I have a question, are these “non-drying” lipsticks long lasting too? What’s your opinion.

Haha i’m glad someone thinks i’m funny! 😉 They don’t last quite as long as a matte liquid lipstick obviously, but I was pleasantly surprised at how long they lasted! You get probably a good 3-4 before you need to reapply.

Double Bubble & 91210hhhh look right up my alley. But I want Unicorn Tears just for the name alone. Unicorns forever! And I agree about a fresh tube of lipstick in weighty gold packaging being a miracle worker at giving me a much needed pick me up. Then again, I get that same feeling with a new tube of mascara, a fresh compact of bronzer, or a new pot of eyeshadow or blush. Clearly, I’m not very hard to please 🙂

I haven’t worn the TF La Cremes in a couple of years, but my lip type has changed (who knew there was such a thing?!) and I am moving to only creamy feeling products. These look fabulous!

Mine have gotten so much dryer over the years, so I guess your lips can change haha! If yours are dry too, I think you’ll really like how these feel 🙂

I love the La Cremes. I’m glad they added more shimmery shades. I have Wham! and I think it’s utterly gorgeous. Unicorn Tears is an awesome layering lipstick. It looks good over everything.
