Sonia Kashuk’s Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour and Satin Luxe Lip Colour lipsticks are sooo good!
I’d never tried Sonia Kashuk lipsticks before, and now I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. They’re super pigmented and beyond comfortable (which is actually a hard combo to come by, and from a drugstore brand, no less). After trying these shades, both of which are new for spring, now I want the rest of the range!
The first new shade here is called Sheer Delicate Nude, and it’s part of the Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour collection. It’s soft, creamy and has a really pretty gloss to it, and even though it’s semi-sheer, it has a heavier finish, almost like a lip balm, so it’s also highly hydrating.
The texture reminds me a lot of the Palladio lip balms that I mentioned in my post about my makeup bag essentials.
It’s just a really pretty nude. Plus, it’s incredibly comfortable. When I wear it I feel like I’m pampering my lips.
Sometimes with lipsticks I have to layer a lip balm under them (like the Murad lip treatment I reviewed a while ago) to add extra moisture, and I don’t mind doing that, but it is an extra step… With the Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colours, though, they’re so moisturizing that I can happily wear them alone, which is really impressive. I’m always down for anything that will save me a little time in the morning.
Sheer Delicate Nude and the other eight Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colours are available now at Target for $11 each.
My other new lip color from Sonia is called Fig, and it’s from her Satin Luxe Lip Colour collection.
These are more pigmented than the Shine Luxe Sheer Lip Colour range, but they’re still really creamy and smooth. Plus, they have SPF 16, which is a nice bonus.
I’m really impressed by how smooth these lipsticks apply. I hate that I’m not able to test lipsticks at drugstores because I definitely would have tried these sooner if I’d had the chance to do a little swatching!
Fig is such a pretty, bright, springy purple, and it has just enough warmth to be wearable. I love purple lipsticks, but they don’t always work for my coloring. Y’all know I love my nudes, but this color is stunning!
The Satin Luxe Lip Colours come in 14 shades for $10 each, and you can find them all at Target.
For my makeup here I used the new Sonia Kashuk Eye Couture Palette in Eye On Textured Nudes 4, which has 12 super smooth, easy-to-apply nude eyeshadows in matte, shimmers and glitters!
For the rest of my makeup, I’m wearing Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow in Shade 8 (review and swatch in this post) // Zoeva blush in Burning Up, which is quickly becoming my go-to natural blush (review and swatch in this post) // Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator in So Hollywood (my picks from ABH in this post) // ColourPop Cosmetics Brow Pencil in Black N’ Brown // Palladio Lash Obsessed Mascara.
What are your favorite Sonia Kashuk lipsticks? What should I try next?
