The Dolce & Gabbana Bouquet Collection Nail Lacquers Sure Look Pretty in Pastel

March 22nd, 2012 by Karen 28 Comments

Dolce & Gabbana Bouquet Collection

There’s something very soothing about these six new Dolce & Gabbana Nail Lacquers from the limited edition Bouquet Collection, isn’t there? How they look all pastel and springy, like a row of Jordan Almonds, Easter eggs or frosted mini-cupcakes…

Yum.

I’m wearing three coats in the swatches below (because they looked a little streaky after two).

The Dolce & Gabbana Bouquet Collection Nail Lacquers for Spring/Summer 2012

  • All six polishes dry to a semi-matte finish
  • Rose Petal, Lemon, Mint, Anise and Acqua are creams
  • Lilac has a faint silver shimmer (have to look really closely to see it)
  • With the exception of Anise, all of these have a very thick consistency

PRICE: $20 each
AVAILABILITY: Coming soon to select Saks Fifth Avenue stores and online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B (thick consistency, and they can be a tad streaky)

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. For my fellow rom-com fans, have you seen Like Crazy? I was in the mood for something mellow and romantic yesterday, and this fit the bill. It’s about two college students in L.A., one a British gal, the other an American bloke, who fall in love, and then have to figure out where to take the relationship after graduation.

I paused it last night with about 20 minutes left because I had to get to bed, but pretty good from what I saw. I hope to finish the rest tonight.

P.P.S. If you haven’t entered yet, there’s still time to enter the China Glaze Capitol Colours and Electropop Brights Kit giveaway. Only takes a comment. 🙂

Oh, I love all of these colors. I want these nail polishes so much.

As for Like Crazy, I haven’t seen it. But, I do love Anton Yelchin, so it has that going for it. 🙂

He’s very good in the film. If you’re a fan, you just might like it.

Some of the colors are similar to cheaper polishes I already own (Lilac, Aqua and Rose Petal) but I do love Mint.

The colors look creamy and delicious in the bottles but the streaking is a killer for me. And, actually, so is requiring more than one coat. 🙂

I haven’t seen Like Crazy but I need an intervention like crazy. I was up until almost midnight again streaming old eps of Buffy. Scary.

Dude, that’s such a good show! After you finish it you then have Angel to look forward to. Where are you at in the story?

Oh, I’m so glad you like it too! Angel just returned from hell (Season 3, the Homecoming episode). I said to the Hubs last night while watching “hey, look, good news… Angel’s back!”. He started googling therapists. HAHA! Totally! After this season, I think I’ll be off Buffy and onto Angel! 🙂

Ive been staying up too late watching Buffy too! You can’t stop after season 3, Spike with his, uh “problem performing” in season 4…perfection. I love him in season 4 because he thinks he is so insanely cool and scary, but he’s actually hilariously pathetic, and somehow still hot even though I never go for blonde…
Have you watched them before or is this your first time through?

I love blue, mint and lilac nail polishes. I am not really that into rom coms but I want to see this film. Saw you’ve mentioned Melancholia the other day, there is no way I am watching it. I am afraid it will leave me feeling really sad.

      Hi Marina,

I didn’t really feel sad at the end of it, to be honest. It was hard to get emotionally attached to the characters.

      Hi Nina,

Aren’t they, though? Gotta love how fresh they feel.

I hope you’re having a great day so far. Got any plans yet for the weekend beside The Hunger Games movie?

Strangely enough I’m really liking the yellow shade, and I’m not so big on yellow shades, but this one is nice! 🙂

Love! I’m not sold on the sound of the formula, but the pastels D&G have chosen to do here are absolutely divine. Anise and Lilac; two shades after my own heart!

Mint, Anise and Acqua look great on you. I don’t do pastels well I think because I find they are a bit too girly for me. Too much tomboy here 🙂

Anise and Lemon are my favourites. Is the Lemon polish streaky like almost all yellow polishes on the market?

I guess I already own all of these shades in other dupes or almost dupes from other brands, but I have to admit that this collection is too beautiful with all those bottles with such delicate colors together :°)
