Milani has two new $6.99 Liquid Eye shades for spring: Graphite and Perfect Purple
With the days getting longer, hillsides turning green again and flowers beginning to bloom, I’m not as inclined to spend as much time indoors. I feel like getting out there in it, ya know? Playing outside. Going to the mall, extra trips to Target, the grocery store — whatever. Anything that’ll get me outside.
This applies to makeup. I don’t feel like spending as much time on mine when it’s 70 degrees and sunny outside.
Milani’s Liquid Eyes Liquid-Like liners in Perfect Purple and Graphite ($6.99 each) can help with that.
The company just added both new shades to their super smooth, long-wearing Liquid Eye Liquid-Like line for spring, and in short, they’re essentially drugstore dupes for the MAC Pearlglides.

That’s Graphite on the left and Perfect Purple on the right…

These tips don’t scoot across my lids in fits and starts. They glide, so no tugging at my skin, and the smudge-proof, paraben-free formula lasts from sunup till sundown.
According to Milani, they’ll stay put for up to 24 hours… I haven’t tested that claim (because when do I stay up a full 24 hours anymore??), but if you plan to party like a rockstar this weekend, I’m guessing your lids will stay lined.
How to use ‘em
From Milani’s website, just “Draw a line along both top lash lines from the inner to the outer corner of your eyes. Allow to set for 15 seconds. After use, always replace the cap so the tip does not dry out.”
Just keep them away from your water lines, as they aren’t approved for use on the inner rim (boo).
PRICE: $6.99 each (also available in Black, Aqua and Brown)
AVAILABILITY: Available now at drugstores and also online
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+ (bummer about not being approved for water lines)
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S.

That purple is purty! Haven’t tried much of Milani, but I keep hearing good things so might have to start with one of these.
Happy Friday to you too!

I heart that purple so much it makes me feel like getting out and about right now to Walgreens so I can buy it. I like the graphite, too. I love them layered. Basically I like this whole post.

Kicking myself now for not buying them awhile ago. Oh well, another reason to go out.
I really like the Liquif’eye formula, I’m always happy to see more shades added to the line!

I love the purple one!
I know what you mean, I love being outside when the weather is nice. I’m also excited about all the hiking we’ll be doing this spring/summer.
Graphite looks like a winner to me. I love that color! Haven’t tried any of these pencils, so maybe I’ll start with Graphite. Thanks for sharing, Karen!
I am LOVING that purple shade. My gosh is that gorgeous. Milani is really stepping up their game!

Hi Painted Lady,
They sure have. Have you tried their new lipsticks? Good stuff!
I always hear such good things about this formula but my local CVS NEVER has all these in stock–only the automatic twist-up ones! :/ I love the look of the purple so I guess I will start hunting around for these

The automatic twist-ups are just a’ight. The pencils, on the other hand — amazing!
I love your blog Karen, but am always too shy to post a comment or question! I’ve been using the Milani Liquif’eye in black for a couple years…But I use it on my water lines! I didn’t realize it wasn’t safe. Does it say that on the packaging?
Hi Daisy,
I’m glad you decided to stop by and say hi!
It says not to use the product inside your eyes (which I take to be the water line) on both the packaging and on Milani’s website. I think it’s because of the glitter.
AH love the purple so much but it sucks that it’s not safe for the waterline.

Hi Sarah,
I know! I think, though, that they say not to use it in that area because of the glitter.
Oh those colors are pretty!

Yeah! And there’s more to choose from. These are just the new ones for spring.
Happy Friday!
I am soooo tempted to get these, especially in the graphite and purple (like I need more eyeliner….but who’s counting?). I love purple or grey liners because they bring out the green/gold tones in my eyes. Milani has always done pretty well on eye stuff, except for maybe a couple of misses on things.
Milani seem to be killing it recently – I just wish theyw ere easier to find the UK!

is k, I don’t want to use something with glitter/shimmer on my waterline anyway, that just sounds like asking for trouble. these are gorgeous, and I already own and love the teal. but whenever cvs has milani on sale, all I can find is the black. 😕
Diggin that purple!!!!!! looks like MAC Rave, my HG LE fave eyeliner.
