I LOVE the miss fortune eyeliner! And at $14, that’s a real steal! How big are the bottles?
September 25th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Hi Ms Britt,
It’s a normal length pencil. AND girrrrl… they don’t budge. I swear I still have those swatches on my hand, and I used a makeup removal wipe and have washed my hands about five times since I doing them earlier today. LOVING ‘EM!
September 25th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
I didn’t get to swatch Miss Fortune when visiting the counter today
The swatch shows it looking kind of lilac-y??
September 25th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Hi Daya,
Yup, it’s purple. I think it looks extra violet on me because my skin tends to bring out those tones.
Have you tried your Cremesheens yet?
September 25th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
I think I like the liners more than I like the shadows. What kind of finish do they have?
Also, I wish there was a really dark black liner in the collection. Like, Feline dark, but with more staying power…
September 25th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
Hi Elle,
The shadows are sheer and seem to be a bit chalkier than usual. I will have to work with them more… I’m a bit undecided about them at the moment.
The Pearlglide liners were LOVE though. They felt really smooth and had lots of lovely, shimmery pigmentation.
September 25th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
Ooooh. Going to have to check those out.

The shadows aren’t that exciting to me - although I like the packaging. Reminds me of old school Clinque:)
The liners look cool - but they aren’t something I’d usually go for. I think I’ll save my dollars!
Chanel Holiday!! I already got my hands on the beiges de chanel quad and I’m itching to see the rest:)

I’m really not that thrilled by the shadow colors, but if the liners have good staying power, I may need to bag me a wolf!
September 25th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
Thanks Karen! They look a bit chalky in the swatch photos, which is what I’m worried about. Excited to see what you do with them, though!
September 25th, 2008 at 2:45 pm
Hi All Adither,
Yeah, the liners are fab! Have fun at the MAC counter.
September 25th, 2008 at 2:50 pm
Hey Karen,
Im loving the look of the Spare Change liner it looks really nice and rich!!
Im not too taken by the shadows though, ive never really been a fan of duos, Sweet Liason looks nice but I think I have too many similar colours already!
How smooth and easy to apply do the liners feel? Im really loving my Power Khol in Feline at the moment it just glides on and the staying power is surprisingly good for such a soft pencil!
September 25th, 2008 at 2:53 pm
I have been longing for those eyeliners! They all look amazing (and I love eyeliner). Butbutbut I’m moving in a week and shouldn’t be buying new things… (but eyeliners are small, right? They won’t take up that much packing space…)

Hi Laurie,
Oh yeah, the liners are very cool. I was surprised with how much staying power they had.
Did you get the European version of that quad with the round half domed shadows? I picked that up as a birthday present to myself in June and DAG NABBIT I can’t find it. *tears*
September 25th, 2008 at 2:58 pm
Hi Glosslizard,
Yeah, they have great staying power… I’m looking at my hand right now and I still see the swatches.
Le sigh, the funny thing is I walk around all day practically dripping in glitter and nobody says anything about it, LOL!
September 25th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
Hi Elle,
Well, they aren’t as emollient as a kohl liner, for sure, but they are definitely soft and pretty smooth for something with shimmer in it. They aren’t as chalky as the MAC glitter liners from last year’s Holiday release, fo’ sho.
September 25th, 2008 at 3:02 pm
Hi Holly,
They do have shimmer in them so they aren’t as smooth as a regular kohl, but they’re pretty soft and they glide on easier than other shimmer/glitter liners from MAC that I’ve used in the past. I really like the subtle nature of the shimmer, too. It’s not gritty or in your face.

Molasses must be mine.

Hi Jeanne,
Good luck during the move… I hope it all goes smoothly. Hmm, maybe pick these up after you get settled in? That way you won’t have to worry about losing them.
September 25th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
When I was at the MAC counter on Tuesday, the girl working there told me about the new lines. She said I should come back on Thursday…she was right!
Those Pearlglide Eyeliners look TO.DIE.FOR.!
She also let me in on a secret about a formerly discontinued product that will be coming back. She said she could get fired for telling me.
I hope she doesn’t!

OMG I have to get some of those eye liners. I love, love, love them. Black russian, rave, and bankroll all must be mine
I’m also loving the Shallow V. Deep shadows. So pretty. I figured they’re be more expensive.
September 25th, 2008 at 5:28 pm
Er..they’d be more expensive.
I think that’s what I meant:P I just got out of sitting in a long boring lecture for 3 hours. My brain is shot for evening.

ugh so cruel! But I am proud that I went to the mall and purposely did not go into Macy’s so I wouldn’t look at this new collection - well bringing my cranky, hungry daughter with me helped!
me likey!
ME WANT!!!!
September 25th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
Thanks for the post. I think the only one I’d actually get is the team violets. Love purple eyeshadow!
September 25th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
I think I may like Black Russian. I don’t know what happens to MAC e/s lately but they don’t seem to be as good as they used to be anymore. So my money’s still in my pocket and I’m waiting patiently for MAC Ungaro collection

MAC always release the amazing things when I’m saving. *sigh*
I guess a couple won’t hurt.. Blue Zone, Rose Suites, and Team Violets can all be mine. The eyeliners are doin’ nothin’ for me.
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi Eru,
Make it so, girlfriend!
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi P. Potter,
Now you’ve gotta share the secret!
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi Brittany,
All the shades are nice, but I think Bankroll is my fave. You won’t be disappointed when you see it in person!
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi ParisB.,
You’re welcome!
Lemme know if you end up picking any up.
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi Lexi,
Girl, you’ve got willpower. Aww… you have a lil’ MAC addict in training! Imagine the day when you both will be able to go to the MAC counter… how fun!
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi Lehea,
You’re welcome.
Yeah, that’s probably one of my faves. I dunno, the colors in general didn’t pop as much as I hoped they would.
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi Dao,
Me too! I can’t wait for Oct. 9.
Do you know what you’re getting?
September 25th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Hi Ellery,
Ahh, really? They’re really nice in person.
September 25th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
That’s because you ooze style and can pull such things off!
September 26th, 2008 at 3:38 am
Karen,
No, that sounds pretty though. I hope you find it! I picked it up at Saks - got some bday presents for folks and was enticed in the process:)

Hi Glosslizard,
Ha! Or people are used to me walking around looking like a glittery, slobbery mess… LOLOL. Welcome to my world!
September 26th, 2008 at 8:20 am
Hi Laurie,
Me too. *tears* It’s somewhere up in this mess!
I end up doing the same exact thing when I go holiday shopping. “One for you, one for me…
September 26th, 2008 at 8:20 am
Hi Dao,
That’s probably the online launch date. Counter launches are usually the following Thursday, which pushes up the date 9/2. Gahh! So much MAC!
I will have to see it all in person first but I’m liking the lip products, blushes and the powder.
September 26th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Hi Karen!
Happy Friday!!
I did wear Fanfare yesterday after I bought it. Its almost a salmon pink on me but its pretty.
Have a great weekend!!
September 26th, 2008 at 2:16 pm
Hey Lady!
I just wanted to report back to you - I did end up buying Smoke and Ash at the Bloomies MAC counter - the girls there rock - they babysat my daughter while I paid for my shadow! I can’t wait to play with this duo set - $15.50 for two shades - so worth it!!
MAC is evil - they seem to know when to release new colors when I’m trying to save my money!
Then we strolled (literally) to the NARS counter - bought Gothika gloss - LOVING it!
September 26th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
I should have not seen this post. Oh man! I really want some of those pretty products.

Hi Daya,
Yay! I’m glad you like it.
You have a great weekend, too.
September 27th, 2008 at 10:25 am
Hi Lexi,
I love the Bloomies MAC counter in SF! They are so fab… how cute that your baby girl (aka MAC Addict in Training!) was your partner in crime.
Oh Nars… have you tried their blushes? My two fave NARS blushes of all time are Amour and Torrid!
September 27th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Hi Marisol,
LOL, just go in a play! You know you wanna…
September 27th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Hi Karen B.,
Are you serious? Well, Cool Heat’s a good one at least, LOL. And, on the bright side, three months is a long time to make a decision as to what you want to get!
September 27th, 2008 at 11:08 pm
I know. But still, it’s long.
Nearly off to Sevilla. On Tuesday. It’s so not sinking in. We have to perform the entire Requiem by Mozart… twice. I’m pretty nervous. Let’s hope I can find a MACstore there that is a bit before Belgium’s… lol

I went beyonf my budget to get these new eyeliners, and let me tell you, they are sooooo worth it! They are so beautiful with fabulous staying power. They don’t move, smudge, budge entill you take them off. Yet they go on so creamy smooth. I love all the colors, and I did get all 8, plus I got a couple of sets, since they are a limited edition! Wish MAC would keep them on as their permanent product. Get these you guys, they are gorgeous!! I’m not too much into eyeshadow, but wear liner everyday, and mascara. These by far are the best eyeliners MAC came out with. LOVE THEM!!!!!!
