And here I was, thinking that in order to be an “it girl,” I was going to have to travel to a parallel universe, one where it’s hip to have spinach stuck in your teeth (And it’s always the teeth on the upper left side… Why?!), wear clothes covered in three pounds of cat hair and have an overabundance of hair roots in desperate need of a dye job.
Not so. If the new $39.50 The It Girl Set by cruelty-free It Cosmetics has any say in the matter, all of us can be it girls (or boys!) together.
“Power to the it girls!” she shouted, before reading the names of the limited edition shades in the three-piece set aloud.
Her feline sidekick appeared disinterested.
“Listen, Tabs,” the girl continued. “There’s pale pink Snow Bunny, pinkish brown Joy to the World and berry Under the Mistletoe. Which of these my-lips-but-better colors do you like best on me?”
The cat sneezed, then spontaneously licked his paw.
“Anyone? Bueller?”
Tabs may not have an opinion on these three sheer, creamy glosses (he’s partial to bling, after all, and none of them are vibrant or sparkly), but I bet RyGos would. 🙂 Because he’s fabulous like that, obvs.
On my lips, they feel like how I imagine it feels to snuggle in the crook of Ryan’s arm…with his smooth, soft, non-sticky skin lightly caressing my cheek.
His biceps would taste and smell faintly of vanilla…
Yes, I would test them with my tongue.
If thou speaketh the language of MAC, then these glosses feel a lot like the MAC Cremesheens, with a similarly lightweight, comfortable, moisturizing formula.
Sadly, they don’t last as long on my lips as I’d like. I find myself having to reapply them after 2-3 hours, and I think I’d like them more if they were more pigmented, but they have other things going for them to offset that.
More than mere glosses, they contain collagen, hyaluronic acid and peptides, like an anti-aging lip serum, and as a gal on the cusp of her fortieth birthday, I appreciate that.
If you don’t mind the light pigment or lack of glittery pizazz, this $39.50 trio is a great deal. All three glosses are full-size 0.11-oz. tubes — tubes that normally sell for $24 each!
For a limited time, The It Girl Set is available now at It Cosmetics counters, Ulta stores and online.

Cute story! And I love Under the Mistletoe on you, even if it’s not extremely pigmented.

Hi Agata,
Thanks! 🙂 You should give these glosses a try sometime. Next time you swing by Ulta, maybe?

I’m a fan of Under The Mistletoe. I love how holiday sets are always such a bargain! Haven’t tried anything from this brand. But I’ve been eyeing their two matte palettes, Naturally Pretty & the Celebration palette. Haven’t decided which one to get, if any.
I’m forver looking for the quintessential matte palette; as if I NEED it, of course

Under the Milestone looks great on you Karen! And your skin is flawless..

I like MAC Cremesheens, especially the taste. Don’t we all speak the language of MAC around here?
Maybe I could justify buying those as lip treatment? I am in need of the whole anti-ageing-thing!

Actually, I don’t mind the lack of glitz at all! I like my glosses subtle and glossy, not shimmery or glittery0

These look so nice! I just got the MAC pink+plum lipglass set, so I’m all set on Cremesheens for about another year! haha.

$40 for 3 glosses that aren’t that pigmented? No way!! You can find drugstore glosses for $5 that are amazing!

Under the Mistletoe is my favorite!

I saw those during the It Cosmetics F&F, but my wallet’s already screaming at me. They look good on you, Karen.
And careful there in Ryan’s arms, that Eva chic looks like she can brandish a lethal weapon…
