The four new Dior Vernis Sparkling Shine nail polishes ($24 each) in Spring Ball, Delice, Princess and Diablotine; coming in March to Dior counters and dior.com
Yes, my love, if you would like to spend the afternoon swatching nail polishes, listening to The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (she’s like the Harper Lee of hip-hop, no?) and watching absolutely mind-numbing reality TV shows about SoCal real estate moguls on Bravo…by all means, GO FOR IT. I will not stop you.
In fact, I highly encourage this kind of behavior. Might I also suggest incorporating cookies and/or wine? Because one or both could take said afternoon to the next level.
The piercing pigments gracing my paws today hail from the House of Dior. Determined to spread sparkle and shine, the glitter-dusted Sparkling Shine Vernis polishes arrive this March, joining four color-coordinated glosses in the new revamped, revitalized Gloss Addict line.

Diablotine, a reddish coral (I’m wearing two layers here, but I’m sure I could have gotten away with one)

Delice, a warm orangey coral with flecks of gold and pink micro-glitter (two layers)

Spring Ball, a pinkish coral with flecks of purple, silver and gold micro-glitter (two layers)

Princess a cool-toned pink with flecks of silver and pink micro-glitter (for this one, the streakiest of the four shades, I’m wearing three layers)
One swipe of the fatty-bo-batty brush that comes with these covers an entire nail, so I finished my first of many manis today before the first Million Dollar Listing commercial break.
And speaking of breaks, these are tough as nails! (Sorry, couldn’t resist.) I also wore them last week (tested on different fingers), and even without a base or top coat, they lasted five full days before I noticed any chipping.
Removal was a breeze, too. Knowing how difficult glittery polishes can be to remove, I busted out the big guns/tricks. After a long shower (the hot water seems to help loosen glitters), a few cotton squares and my trusty bottle of Sephora by OPI Nail Polish Remover took care of things in no time flat.
If Princess, the lightest shade, were a little less streaky, I’d call these purrrfect, but even so, I love ‘em to bits.
I can’t wait to wear them with their coordinating glosses when the cherry blossoms bloom this spring.

One of my favorite pictures from last spring…

Spring Ball and Delice are definitely calling my name. You know how I am with coral…..
Pretty! I don’t think I can resist them, especially if they’re quite easy to remove. I love glitter nail polishes but I hate the hassle of removing them.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is an AWESOME album.
You are beyond cool in my books.
Oh, it feels like spring when I read this post.
Thank you! And by the way: I don’t read your blog – any blog – just for the information about fashion, make-up, cooking. I want more, and you give this to us.
Whoa I love how these look (particularly Diablotine and Delice)! So glad to hear they can be removed easily too. My main issue with glitter nail polishes is the potential trouble I have to go through to remove them. If that’s off the table then sky is the limit

I love these, they are not over-glittery but have that something extra special to them.

Delice is gorgeous! I don’t have any Dior polishes but these are absolutely gorgeous and I might have to get this one, it’s so perfect for spring and summer.
Holy gorgeousness, I love all of these! Diablotine and Delice are my favorites though, man are they beautiful. Nice to hear they wear well too! Bravo is my go-to station, esp when I’m doing manis
Gorgeous! This is the perfect amount of glitter for everyday.
Ooh, I love cherry blossoms. And spring!
There is a lot of fine glitter in these but it sort of gives them a grainy or textured look in the pics. Speaking of nails, I saw this cool “french” version yesterday where the base was a flat, matte black and the tips were a high gloss black. It looked super cool. But, that would be a toenail thing for me. Too much maintenance for my nails.
Me too. I’d love spring more if it wasn’t for the allergies…
I can totally picture that mani! It sounds 1) amazing and 2) stressful.
I’d be worried about chipping every five seconds. Sounds great for a fancy night out though!
I still think you should do a mani with the boys’ hockey team colors.
Agreed on the stress factor! If I ever rock the maroon and white, I’ll send you a pic.
Ok, I may have to fork over the money for Spring Ball. Beautiful!
Spring Ball and Delice… Love!
Yes! The combo would look great on fingers and toes.
Ooooh, those two corals look pretty! Just seeing those colours make me happy! And the formula sounds great!
