Gurl, you know I can’t even take out the trash without doing a little something-something to my brows first. I mean, you never know who you’re gonna meet out there, right? — the neighbors, the mail carrier, the FedEx guy.
This week I’ve been using Becca’s new Brow Shaping Gel ($20) to tame my wild eyebrows when I’ve either been in a hurry/haven’t been awake enough to deal with my current go-to brow product, Benefit Instant Brow.
A clear, conditioning formula infused with Chamomile Flower Extract and Glycerin to soothe, strengthen and nourish brow hairs. Non-greasy finish will not crack, flake or feel heavy on brows. Perfect for creating more refined looking brows or defining sparse brows.
I use it to corral stray hairs into a sleek shape. As soon as I brush it through my brows with the attached brush tip (it’s like a mascara brush), I look a lot less ‘tow up, LOL! There are some cheaper alternatives out there (Maybelline used to make one; Revlon has one that costs $7), but Becca’s finish puts it ahead of the pack. Unlike the other brow gels I’ve tried, this one feels natural on my brows, not waxy or greasy, and the gel doesn’t flake.
I wish it wasn’t so expensive, but if your brows mean a lot to you, you might want to give it a go.
PRICE: $20
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Becca counters and also online

If there’s something I can’t live without, it’s brow gel! I have a tinted one from Origins, and a clear one from ELF, but this one sounds really promising too!

i’ve always wanted to try brow gels! i’m lucky i don’t need to fill mine in but i do need some grooming. i think it would be worth it to invest in this product (especially since the finish you describe sounds fantastic), especially since i don’t really see myself using it all the time.

Ugh, way too expensive for me atm 🙁 Maybe in between summer and fall terms when I have a job I can buy it. Bleh, school takes up all of my money :L

I’ve used the ELF clear mascara as a brow gel and I like it, you just have to be careful because too much will make you feel like you just put too much hair gel on your eyebrows. (ie crunchy)

Wow 20 bucks? Yikes. I have a friend who loves this though, I think (it may be a different brand, my memory’s failing me).

Hmm-I may need to try this! I use the Anastasia Clear Brow Gel, as it’s the only one that keeps my those brows of mine in check. Do you know how this compares to it?

For those who aren’t too sure about the cost…I use the Anastasia gel, which is 21 dollars and .1 oz. I use it every day and one gel lasts me about a year. This gel is two and a half times the size of that one…I have to think it would last correspondingly as long. So if you’re one of those people who are able to justify cost when a product lasts a long time…this may just work out.
And I say this not because I’m encouraging you to spend money, but because I would be totally freakin’ lost without brow gel, and it’s an HG product once you try it. 🙂 Spreading the love.

Seems similar to the Cover Girl clear brow gel I’ve been using for years. And less than half the price.

Maybelline still makes clear Great Lash, which I use on my brows. I haven’t been able to find it at Target or Ulta for years, but stumbled upon it at my local grocery store last week for $6. It works really well!
