What Are You Wearing on Your Nails?

August 13th, 2010 by Karen 42 Comments

I’ve been on a Butter London kick lately and have Old Blighty ($14), a creamy brick red with a hint of brown, on my fingertips and toes.

What about you? What are you wearing on your nails today?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

On my nails I have Opi’s Nail Envy Original – because I went all the way to Ulta in Le Ghetto for Orly Space Cadet and somehow put Galaxy Girl in my basket and didn’t notice until I got home! I’m going back bright and early tomorrow morning to exchange it – I’m hoping they still have a Space Cadet left in the morning!

On my toes I have Zoya Nidhi.

I am so ready for fall that I’ve decided to move on from pastels (which I’ve played out thoroughly). I am wearing OPI DS Mystery and loving it (quite a 180 from the Milani Dress Maker I was wearing just before).

I’ve just got my pedicure done, and now I’m wearing OPI Summer Flutter’s Catch Me In Your Net on my toes! It’s a simply gorgeous colours.

I keep my fingernails free of colour, though, since I use my hands a lot and chipping is thus faster on them. Occasionally do I apply clear polish to my fingernails.

East Hampton Cottage on the fingers (Essie), Bahama Mama on the toes (same). I want to find a place that sells the Butter London jellies and get one of those – the All Lacquered Up swatch of the purply-red one has stolen my heart in a way I can’t describe! But is it weird, I can buy everything else off the internet, but I’m nervous about nail polish?

OPI’s Senorita Rose-alita. Love this color so much, it seems to go with almost everything!

I had such a good experience with my first bottle of Rimmel last week that I am jonesing to try another. I put it on Friday night and took it off Wednesday night, when it was just starting to get some tip wear. For me, that is amazing wear time.

My nails are nekkid! For some reason, I’m not a huge fan of painting my fingernails. They get too grumpy at me when I cover them up (i.e., they peel like nobody’s business). I’m entertaining the idea of getting a buffing kit, though…

I’m currently wearing OPI’s Lincoln Park at MIdnight but it needs to be redone. I’ve got OPI’s Dim Sum Plum on my toes and I’m tired of it, so I’ll probably be redoing both tonight – I’m thinking OPI’s Strawberry Margarita, it’s been my favorite this summer.

My nails are naked right now. I’m trying to decide what to put on them next. They did have BB Couture Candy Mousse and Zoya Hope on them before my surgery, but I took the polish off for surgery. My toes still have BB Couture Blue Bahama.

OPI Done out in Deco on the toes, and What’s up With the Cattitude on my fingers! I went in preparing to do Orly’s Gumdrop on my fingers, but saw that they had this light blue shade at the salon. I had wanted to buy it, but couldn’t bring myself to buy something from the Shrek collection. I LOVE it and have had about a million compliments.
