MAC Holiday 2009 Is Here!

Greetings from Lost Wages, ladies (aka Las Vegas)! It was a beauty-full day here in Nevada, from what I hear…
I say that because I spent most of the day indoors at Blog World.
The conference got off to a killer start. I’m prepping a post with highlights that will go up early tomorrow. If you’re interested in blogging for fun and/or income (not necessarily beauty blogging, but any niche that interests you), you might want to check it out.
One of the speakers, Darren Rowse, has been an internet idol of mine for a while. He operates two fantastic blogs I frequent on an almost daily basis, Digital Photography School and Problogger. I’ve learned a ton from both of them. I’ll go into more detail in the post tomorrow, but I credit DPS with teaching me how to become one with my point-and-shoot Canon.
In makeup news, did you take home any of the new MAC Holiday collection today?
I swung by the MAC Pro Store here on the strip a little while ago to take a quick peek.
You probably can’t tell much from these Blair Witchy photos… In the store, the MAC Pro crew were on me like Britney on Cheetoes, insisting that I turn off my camera, so I had to snap these few shots on the ‘low. 
What do ya think? Did Christmas come early?

Ahhhhh, I am so tempted to go see everything but I’m afraid that if I go without seeing swatches and thinking on things first that I’ll end up buying way more than I need to… ^^;;

This is way too early…Now I hope the spring collection will be out sooner since I like how one of the lip gelee sounds.
P.S. I have no gut to even take out my camera at MAC/Sephora…not even Ulta. My comfort zone is just my gorcery store at 11:00pm where the beauty isle staff are all off…

I had no clue they brought out the holiday collection until someone came to the store today that I chatted up and she shared with me how she got the face and eye brush set. Me and my co worker were like Wah! gotta get to the counter on break

I checked out the Holiday collection this evening and overall I think this is the best holiday collection in a few years. I liked the mineralize e/s and the soft sparkle pencils and I didn’t like the palettes as much as I though I would. I am going to hold off buying until next week. The staff put some stuff on hold for me for next week’s event at my counter, so I won’t be able to try anything yet.

Great pics! I got Sorceress, Smoke & Mirrors, Jingle Jangle, Utter Fun & both mineral blushes…. Not as much as I thought I would really.
I thought about the pencils, but I’ve been lemming the UD Super Stash so I passed. I skipped the MES’s, I didn’t want to spend $20 and have 1/3 of it useless.

I picked up Ever So Rich Cremesheen (Yay! Made up for missing it last spring!) and the Smoke and Mirrors eye palette. It’s such a perfect neutral palette with a great mirror, perfect for living in my purse!

I picked mine up at Nordstom yesterday. I purchased:
-Smoke and Mirror eye palette (love the pretty case it comes in)
-Put a Spell on You pink lip set (Dazzleglass, lipstick, lip pencil, and small silver case)
-Morning, Noon, and Knight Everything Eye Brushes (set of 5 short handled brushes with pretty silver bag)
I am loving everything so far! The MAC representative helped me by showing how to do a smokey eye that didn’t look like someone had punched me in the eye (which is what happens when I attempt to do it!). The eyeshadows are great. The brushes are also great. I am loving the Dazzleglass (never used one before) and the lipstick.
Nordstrom also had a beauty special where you get a gold cosmetics case filled with samples if you spend $100 on beauty products. I can’t wait to try out those samples!
