Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow Jumbo Lip Pencils: These Pretty and Precise Pencils Hit the Target

May 13th, 2016 by Adia Goss 20 Comments

Just look at these beautiful Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow lipsticks…

I love that these $22 Lipstick Queen Cupid’s Bow lipstick/jumbo lip pencil hybrids are so smooth, pigmented and easy to apply, and you can get a nice outline around your lips with them. Lipstick Queen is a new brand to me, but I’m loving the luxe vibe.

I’ve reviewed my share of lipstick/lip pencil hybrids (remember the ones from Glo Minerals?), so I like to think of myself as a bit of an expert on the subject.

DETAILS:
0.07oz

“Inspired by the artful precision of a perfectly applied cupid’s bow, this jumbo pencil is packed with pigment and works just like a lipstick and lip liner together in one. Loaded with hydrating ingredients to keep your pout in perfect condition, these pencils give lips a velvety drama that can be drawn on with one simply stroke. Lips are instantly saturated with rich, plush pigments and a dramatic yet moisture-rich satin matte finish. Naughty, nice and playful, with allow-like precision…just like Cupid himself!”

— lipstickqueen.com

  • Plush, powerful pigments with intense staying power and a satin matte finish
  • Contains precious mineral Tourmaline sourced from metamorphic rock in Brazil, known for its energizing and radiance-boosting qualities
  • Luxurious formulation cushions lips in comfort

  • Artful precision with one effortless application – glides on with intense color pay-off
  • Complimentary sharpener included

They come with sharpeners too!

What do you think of the two super vibrant shades I’m wearing in this post (here are the other six in the line)? Metamorphoses is a bright orange, and Apollo is a rich berry.

I LOVE these two bright shades, so I’m going to check out the other six next time I’m in Barneys. These are also available at Ulta for $22.

These feel super smooth and comfortable on my lips, but they’re not exactly “long wearing,” because they will transfer when I’m eating or drinking. However, since they’re as pigmented as they are, the color still lasts for a few hours.

Also, I really like that these lipsticks aren’t too soft, because sometimes these lipstick/lip pencil hybrids are so soft that they wear down super quickly, but that’s not the case here, so I think these will last a little longer than similar products. While they’re pricey, the quality is awesome, and the colors are sooo good for warm weather!

I’m also wearing Becca Cosmetics Aqua Luminous Perfecting Foundation in Warm Honey, the Zoeva Warm Spectrum eyeshadow palette (swatches in this post), Zoeva Luxe Color Blush in Burning Up, Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and Colourpop Brow Pencil in Black N’ Brown in these pics.

What do you guys think of these lippies? If you’ve tried other products from Lipstick Queen, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Ooooh gosh that orange just looks incredible on you! Such a great colour!

I’ve got a few Lipstick Queen bits and bobs – Jean Queen is a great everyday goes-with-everything that feels more like a balm than a lipstick. Again, not long-wearing, but a good MLBB for days when you feel a bit lacklustre!

Thank you Becky! I’m typically not drawn to orange but it was my favorite of these two for sure! Jean Queen sounds like the perfect lipstick to keep with you at all times lol. We all need one of those.

I haven’t tried Lipstick Queen brand yet, which is shameful because I am The Lipstick Queen. 🙂
I like the orange best, that color looks fabulous on you.
I do like a hybrid pencil/lipstick. Sometimes, I just like to wear a lip pencil but then I usually need a balm on top. This solves that problem.

P.s. Love your new ‘do! Do you like it?

Thanks Jennifer! This definitely solves the problem. My hair is so much easier to manage when it’s straight but I only straighten it a few times a year to avoid damaging it. Then once it’s straight I don’t know how to style it LOL. Thank you though 🙂

Oh that orange lippie is soooo pretty! It looks incredibly pigmented & moisturizing. I’ve never tried anything from this brand but I see them all the time at Ulta. This just piqued my interest 🙂

Oh my gawsh forget the lip pencils that hair is everything! So gorgeous! But aside from your distractingly cute ‘do I love that orange-y Cupid’s bow, I have actually never tried any lipstick queen lip products.
