Once springtime rolls around, I get this crazy bug where all I want to do is change up my lip color. Not gonna lie, things get pretty boring for my lips once the weather gets gloomy… So, now that the windows are open and the sandals are out, so are my spring lip colors.
NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Lace Detail
What’s been living on my lips lately and making appearances in too many of my Instagrams and blog posts? NYX Lingerie liquid lipstick in Lace Detail. It is the best nude I have ever owned in my whole life.
Yes, that is a bold statement, but I am sticking to it.
It’s right on trend, too, with its slightly deeper shade, right between a pink and brown. And, it’s matte. You can’t forget about the matte finish.
Yes, it is drying and slightly uncomfortable…but I don’t care! It just looks so good!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes
If you’re one of those gals who just can’t stand a drying liquid lipstick, no matter how hard you try, let me show you this one. It’s the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Cannes. It’s a matte, but it doesn’t feel like one. It’s more like a mousse-y texture, and I find it oh, so delightful.
Not to mention, it smells like delicious vanilla. It’s like my spring version of a wintery maroon shade — a little bit deep, but it still feels like it’s meant for warmer weather.
Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Cruise Collection
Let’s get a little brighter, shall we? If you’re looking for something bright, but not crazy bright, check out Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Cruise Collection. I’m so in love with this lipstick’s soft formula and subtle coral color.
This guy has been on my spring go-to list for about four years now! (Don’t worry, it hasn’t been the same tube the whole time, yuck!)
If you want to experiment with corals but don’t want to completely commit to something crazy, go for this one.
NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick
Now, when I’m talking about committing to coral (or bright orange), I’m talking about this shade, NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick. Sorry for yet another NYX lipstick, but they really are such a good value for money. I’m sure you’ll forgive me once you try them. 🙂
I freaking love this color. There’s just something about it that makes me feel like a bad-A when I wear it, hence the sassy picture!
OCC Lip Tar in Digitalis with Smashbox Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer
On days when I’m wearing a cute dress and some booties, I want something a little more feminine on my lips, and this spring, that’s going to be OCC Lip Tar in Digitalis. I love the uniqueness of this lavender/pink shade. I think strait-up lavender on the lips can look a little bit like chalk, but when it’s mixed with a light pink, it’s perfection.
These Lip Tars have a pretty glossy finish on their own, but because I have a serious problem…I had to go and make it matte. If you have the same weird addiction, you NEED to get Smashbox Insta-Matte Lipstick Transformer. It’s the coolest product ever (it made my March Beauty Favorites).
You just tap a little over the top of any lip product, and it instantly mattifies it. It also has a really nice, nourishing texture.
I know I am going to completely regret asking this question, because my shopping list always grows by about two pages every time, but what lipsticks are you going to be wearing constantly this spring? 🙂
