I had a busy weekend. Since my maid’s away, I need to do chores and help out my mom who’s broken her leg and is confined in a wheelchair. I don’t mind the chores though, I enjoy doing them. Had no time to eat properly but thank God that it’s my sis’ birthday! Somehow we got her three cakes! D8 that’s a lot of fat!

I broke my foot about a week ago and I can’t get upstairs to my vanity and all my makeup (or stand long enough in front of a mirror to put it on) 🙁 I’ve been missing it all so much so I’ve become obsessed about reading as much as I can about new brands and techniques and I can’t wait until I can walk & drive again to load up on some of glorious new products I’ve been reading about and get back to my lovely collection of make up. I just ate peanut butter yogurt out of a blue cup! Other than that…my sneakers and my husband’s bike. Our living room is mostly red and brown shades 🙂

Personally, I don’t know what brand she is eating, since I am just jumping in here uninvited (sorry!), but you could mix freshly ground pb with plain greek yogurt and have a nice treat. I would do that if I could eat yogurt (lactose is not my friend =((

Lactose isn’t really my friend either, but I find that yogurt is better because of the probiotics. Have you tried any of the soy or other non-dairy yogurts? They scare me a little bit…
No brand – Sandy’s right, I just mix peanut butter into regular or Greek yogurt! It’s amazing. It started when my husband and I were in Iceland, and the yogurt is crazy cheap there so he ate a lot of yogurt + peanut butter + chocolate chips + oatmeal (the last three ingredients were for pb/choco chip/oatmeal cookies), and I simplified it down to pb + yogurt. Try it! It’s amazing!
Assuming by treasured you mean physical and non-living…that’s a hard one. In a fire I’d grab my external hard drive since it has all my pictures and family history and such on it. But that’s a hard question otherwise. I suppose the ring my mom and dad gave me for my sixteenth birthday? I have this weird thing where I really treasure a lot but I use the items all the time. And if they do get broken or damaged, I’m not upset exactly because I have tons of memories associated with them. So sad, yes, but not regretful either.

Happy Saturday! My most treasured belonging is a picture of my mother and my aunt. They are sister-in-laws and were best friends. My mother past away in ’00 when I was 9 and my aunt just past away last August. This is the only pic I have of them and I hope they are hanging out together upstairs! I love and miss them both! <3

You know, I have a LOT of bad beauty habits (skipping sunscreen, biting my nails, keeping things WAY past their expiration, but one thing I aver do is go to bed with makeup on. I always do the full on cleansing ritual. I might skip serum, moisturizer, and so on but the makeup is OFF!

Hi Karen!! I’m new to your blog, but I’m so enjoying it!! I feel like I’m learning something new every day. Anyway, I did remove my makeup last night, because I had a lot on. I’ve been on a quest for a good under eye concealer, so I thought I’d try Nars. They ended up putting not just concealer on me, but tinted moisturizer, bronzer, and blush!! Woo Hoo…that was fun!! Still not sure if I got the right concealer as far as the color match… it might be too dark. I’m looking for something to brighten my under eye area. I might see if I can get a better match at MAC…we shall see. By the way, thanks for having the Sephora giveaway!! Love that place!!

On my fingers I have a coat of Loreal Creme De Mint, over a coat of WnW Fastdry Emerald The Crown Jewel glitter, over a couple of coats of Sinful Pistache making a glitter-jelly sandwich on my nails. Super pretty and it coordinates well with Wednesday.

I’m very good at taking my makeup off before bed – my skin is very sensitive and finicky, so I have to be serious about taking care of it!
My fingernails are bare, as always, but my toes are a glittery red jelly finish LE polish from Revlon Summer 2011 called Watermelon Fizz. I have backup bottles of this because it’s the best color ever.

I spent the day with some friends and tried out a moderately dramatic purple eye look, which I think was a success.
I just cam back from a 5 hour local home and garden tour sponsored by a neighborhood charity. My friend and I are exhausted. We do not look like our usual vibrant selves, thus we need that Sephora card! BTW very few nice gardens this year, and too many elite architectural “monster mansions” that actually look like prisons.

Yes I definitely removed my makeup before bed last night–I make sure to do that every single night no matter what. I was actually quite proud of myself a few weeks ago–I went out partying with some friends for my birthday and came home pretty tipsy 😛 I had a sudden urge to crawl into bed without washing my face but I forced myself to do it and felt much, much better after. I figured “haven’t done it in years and I’m not gonna start now” 😛

Canada skipped spring again this year…straight from winter to summer!

I predict that this summer is going to be painfully hoot this year. We were hitting the ninety degree mark in April.
I’m a nail polish addict, but this week I’ve decided to give my nails a break and keep them polish free. I do this every once in a while, just to let them breathe…not sure if that even makes sense but I like to pretend it does 🙂
My most treasured items are the photos. We lost a whole bunch during the Hurricane Irene and I desperately tried to save most of them, our whole house was covered in drying photos.

I don’t have too many blue things in this area of the apartment. Nine blue books on the bookshelf, a Subway soda cup on the coffee table, a small plastic watering can on a side table, a mirror with a blue painted wood frame, and a small glass planter. My favorite blue cosmetic item is definitely my Urban Decay eye shadow in Radium, which I love to wear on nights out.

I have to remove my makeup nightly, since I wear eye makeup and have super-sensitive eyes. I use plain jojoba oil for this; it works pretty well.
In five years I’ll still be a programmer. I like the work.

there is a picture of my mom and me when i was maybe 4 years old on my wall.. she’s sqeezing me so tight and i have one of the biggest smiles where i’m showing all my teeth and gums! everytime i look at it, it puts a huge smile on my face 🙂

Today my makeup was very simple. My Rachel K CC Cream, Illamasqua blush in Thrust and YSL Volupte Shine in 19 Fuschia in Rage. Nail polish I’m wearing today is Dior’s Princess. I always try to remove my makeup well before bed.
I was never involved in a scandal. And yes, I have had quite a few heart to heart with strangers. It happens that people are just lonely, having a bad day and, need to vent and maybe I seem like a good listener. I don’t mind at all. I find it that at times it is easier to open up with a stranger than with the people around you.

My most treasured belonging is probably the necklace my mom gave me for the sixteenth birthday. You know Asian parents don’t really celebrate birthdays…so that necklace means a lot! I’m currently in a coffee shop, so I see a lot of blue shirts! Funny thing about this coffee shop…it’s very “local” lol. I’ve never been to one like it! Yes, OF COURSE I’ve had a heart-to-heart with a total stranger. I live for those moments! I believe in life is a collection of memories, and those little moments do count. I may not remember all of them, but I’ll never forget how they make me feel!! Oh great…you’re asking me about my “five year plan”…does anyone actually have those? I don’t see myself doing anything specific in five years…or be anywhere specific. I’m in my twenties, so everything is uncertain. It kinda drives me nuts, but it’s a learning moment for sure!! YES I REMOVED MY MAKEUP BEFORE BED LAST NIGHT. Haha, I’m not a beginner! I hate absolutely HATE sleeping with my makeup on. I WILL get a zit the next morning, no doubt. I currently don’t have anything on my nails bc I just moved, and don’t have my own place yet, so I have yet to build my nail polish collection! And not to mention I hate having my nails painted…I’m such a perfectionist when it comes to it. ONE CHIP, and all the other nails come off. I’m not crazy, promise 🙂

Years ago I decided experience was more important than stuff. I’m a purger. I don’t think I have any truly treasured items. I have a few things I keep – my mangled engagement ring (long story), my daughter’s first birthday dress, and a rock my Uncle gave me when I was about 3.

I don’t think I am cool enough to be involved in a scandal. When I was young I was more scandalous. When I was 17 I asked out my boss and he said yes…until he realized I was only 17. On my nails I currently have an OPI base coat on. I’m still debating on what colors to put on, but I’m leaning towards a jelly finish.

Bought my first Chanel nail polish yesterday! After I saw your pictures of the color ‘taboo’, I knew I needed to have it.
Light blue is my favorite color (but I’m a fan of any blue), so it would be pretty hard to count!
