One of the things Tabs and I like to do together on Sundays is surf the Web for cat videos. I take care of the keyboarding (on account of my opposable thumbs), while he commanders the mouse.
I think we found a few good ones today.
Tabs likes this first one best because of its “organic nature and abstract transcendentalism.” His words.
What a catnip trip, right? So weird! Did you notice that paw emerging from the lipstick tube at the 0:28 mark?
Tabs knows the cat that paw belongs to. He says she’s an up-and-coming kitty supermodel.
Maybe it’s because I’m PMSing like crazy right now, but this animated story about a cat who wakes up in a world surrounded by water made me cry buckets. It explores themes like survival and overcoming one’s fears in such a poetic and touching way.
Okay…I’m gonna cry again.
What cats dream
I can see Tabs having dreams like this… If my dreams are weird, and they are, I can only imagine what his little kitty brain is doing when he’s asleep, and his little paws are REM twitching.
I have a crush on this handsome tabby! Shh… Don’t tell Tabs. I snuck this simple, soothing video in the list when he wasn’t looking.
Stories we make up about our cats
Cracks me up! I especially love the slide about Noodles, aka the cat who saved the moon (from a cult).
We are Siamese, if you please…
We are siamese, if don’t please.
Just a couple of elegant Siamese kitties doing their elegant Siamese kitty thing.
Caught in the act!
I’m definitely doing this next Christmas! If I’d had technology like this in place two years ago during the infamous Christmas Tree Incident, we probably would have caught the cat responsible for the crime (even though we have a pretty good idea whom it was).
Who is Tabs the Cat? About three years ago I befriended a stray, flea-bitten tabby cat with a bad case of worms. I could see he’d fallen on hard times, but his profound knowledge of high fashion and department store cosmetics led me to believe that he was more than meets the eye. We became fast friends, and now he’s actually my boss (and a successful kitty model).
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
P.S. Some cats have portfolios of a few face shots here and there, but Tabs literally has a library of modeling work going all the way back to kittenhood! If you’d like to see more, you can also check out the archives here.
