comment to win two clarisonic brushes

Rise and shine, ladies! :) Are you ready to rock and/or oscillate?

Before I get to the purpose of this post, let me share something I haven’t really told anyone — not El Hub, my parents or Tabs (even though he’s a great listener).

Over the past year my skin has dramatically changed, and, well, it’s freaking me out. I suppose it’s just the marching of time (sigh…) and the stress of our recent move, but sometimes when I look at myself in the mirror I wonder, “What the eff happened?”

I see deepening lines around my eyes and mouth (where the skin used to be smooth), and now, more than ever, I get pimples in the same oily/dry/confused patch on my forehead, over and over again.

That’s why I’m really looking forward to spending the rest of the winter with the Clarisonic brush.

I’ll be testing one over the next month and hoping for the best. I’ve heard LOTS of good things about ‘em…

“The tight, soft bristles, sonic waves and oscillating motion of this daily face-cleansing brush help it reach uneven surfaces to dislodge dirt and makeup and clean pores deeply, minimizing problems like acne and dermatitis. “It smooths out the skin tremendously. I had a patient with bumps on her forehead for five years, and now they’re gone,” says N.Y.C. dermatologist Debra Jailman. She recommends using the brush every day with a mild cleanser and once a week with an exfoliant. Dermatologist David Bank of Mount Kisco, N.Y., says cleansing with a sonic brush — which removes dead skin — can help treatment ingredients penetrate better.”
In Style

“We heard a dermatologist’s lecture about blackheads and whiteheads, and we thought, ‘What if we found a frequency that would flex the skin and work with skin’s elasticity?’” says Robb Akridge, cofounder and vice president of clinical research at Clarisonic. “So we set about figuring out a way to loosen dirt inside pores.” Clarisonic uses the same technology as Sonicare, but because skin is more sensitive than teeth, moves more slowly — 300 vibrations per second versus 520. And according to Akridge, Clarisonic is different from other skin-cleansing devices — such as at-home microdermabrasian gadgets — in that “other technologies address the skin in only one direction, which generates friction.” Clarisonic, he says, flexes skin back and forth, clearing pores without excess exfoliation, so it’s gentle enough to use every day.”
W

“But is there any benefit to using a gadget instead of a washcloth to take off makeup? The Good Housekeeping Research Institute looked at three power facial brushes… the Clarisonic Skin Care System came out tops in the lab and consumer tests.”
Good Housekeeping

This year I feel really lucky to be able to offer you guys a chance to give the Clarisonic a try. The company has pledged 10 Clarisonic brushes as prizes for MBB readers.

Thrilled much? :)

The prize

TEN lucky ladies will win their choice of Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleansing Systems:

clarisonic classic

The Classic ($195), the OG of Clarisonic brushes, thoroughly but gently cleanses and exfoliates skin using ultrasonic technology, aka the same technology used by Sonicare toothbrushes. Heralded by beauty mags, dermatologists and bloggers as the second coming in skin care technology (Glamour called it “the Bentley of exfoliators”), it’s said to help with a number of skin issues — blemishes, dry patches and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles — and impart a healthy glow without irritating the skin. The Classic has two speeds and comes in white, pink or graphite gray.

clarisonic mia

The Clarisonic Mia ($149) offers all of the benefits of the Classic Clarisonic in a new, smaller size. Available in two colors (pink and white), this one-button, one-speed brush fits most gym bags, overnight bags or other small bags for spur-o-the-moment weekend getaways.

clarisonic plus

The Clarisonic Plus ($225) takes cleansing a step further by offering three speeds for the face *plus* an additional “Body” mode. The PLUS (available in white only) specializes in treating dry patches and improving the texture and firmness of skin; all this, and they say it’s also great for prepping skin before the application of self-tanners.

How to enter…

To enter, just leave a comment at the bottom of this post. In it, nominate someone from your life, and if you win (winners chosen at random from the comments), they will too. :) You’ll EACH win a Clarisonic brush of your choice.

I nominate my friend Jen. We grew up down the street from each other in our hometown, and her family just got some really bad news. She deserves a little Christmas cheer.

Right now the Clarisonic giveaway is open to US residents only. I’m trying my best (working with the company) to see if I can open it up internationally, so keep your fingers crossed. I’ll update this post and let you know once I get final word from the peeps over at Clarisonic, so please check back soon if you live overseas.

UPDATE 10:04 a.m. Monday: I just heard back from the folks at Clarisonic, and they have kindly offered to open the giveaway to international readers. To the MBB babes living overseas, that means you can participate too. Hooray, hooray!

Recap…

I’ll pick five winners (with their five nominees) at random from among the people who enter by 11:59 p.m. PST on Friday, Dec. 18. And be sure to use a valid email address when you comment so I can reach you if you win. :)

Good luck!

My friend, Sky. She got into makeup just after me (partially because I was having so much fun, and she had been interested in it for a while, and I was the catalyst), and it would be wonderful to have such a thorough way to remove it from her skin. Having great skin is the best base for playing with makeup!

  5. YadiQ says:

i nominate my sister who just purchased a coop and now is crying budget with her mortgage and facials are out of the question !!

Thanks for the amazing giveaway, Karen. I’m excited!

  8. Lisa says:

I nominate my sister. She has had to deal with her husband being over in Iraq (3rd tour). She has kids and takes care of the home while he is gone. She has also had foot surgery in the past 3 years on the same foot and has to deal with complications of not being able to do things for herself while he is overseas. She devotes her time to her family and unfortunantely forgets about herself. I think she needs this to remind herself to take time for herself.

  9. KyaLyn says:

I nominate my sister. She’s going to school full time, working full time to pay for school and just doesn’t have the money right now to take care of herself properly.

  10. tousledkitten says:

I nominate my fiancé because he has been having skin problems recently. Oily T-Zone and flaking cheeks, forehead, chin. Not fun. I’ve been trying 3-step skincare on him but this would really help us both a lot!

  15. Christina says:

I nominate my best friend Laura, who has been helping me pack up my apartment, get rid of my furniture, and is watching my car till I can come back for it. She’s doing all if this in spite of that fact that I’m moving cross country and leaving her in a small college town. I can think of someone who deserves an awesome “thank you” more than Laura.

  16. Caitlin says:

I nominate my sister because she’s always been a beauty inspiration of mine. She taught me how to embrace my height, and just recently has been dealing with some tough times, so I think she needs a little Christmas pick me up :)

  17. Tracy says:

I nominate my Daughter! She is just getting into makeup and skin care, and I’d really like to encourage her to take care of her skin properly. This is such an amazing giveaway!!! Thanks!

  18. emily says:

I nominate my mom who is always there for me :)

  19. NINA says:

I nominate my sister Pilar. She had a really bad bout with Steven Johnson Syndrome a few years back and has struggled with her flaky and alternately oily and dry skin since then. She has finally been given the go ahead by her doctor to start a skin care regimen. I am hoping that the Mia will help her find the skin she once had. Its been a confidence shattering process for her – seeing her skin so discolored and patchy – I believe she deserves the chance at great skin again!

Awesome giveaway, Karen. Happy Holidays to you and Tabs from Me and Linus and Anja and our dog Mojo!!!

  20. cady says:

i nominate my mom! she’s always had problems with her skin “40 something year old women should not have pimples!” and she would surely appreciate something like this :)

  21. Emily says:

I would definitely nominate my mom. She’s always had skin problems and is really self-conscious about them (even though she’s gorgeous) and I think this would really help boost her confidence and get her skin looking beautiful. She’s always been so supportive of me and is truly a bright light in my life. It would be a perfect Christmas gift for her.

  22. emmyliz09 says:

I nominate two people- my sister and my mom. My sister is in her mid-twenties and having major skin changes that are driving her nuts. I nominate my mom because this is something she would never buy for herself, but would love. Yes, I would give them both away. I’m not normally this generous (ha ha), it must be the holiday season.

  23. Ebru says:

I will nominate my hubby! He is so into keeping his skin clean lately, I think he would love this as much as I do :)

  26. Marisol says:

I nominate my mom. She is the type of person that does more for others than herself but at times to a fault. If this product does work like it says it does, it would be something she can use for herself & make her feel good about herself.
    .-= Marisol’s last blog post… A Day of Ups & Downs =-.

  27. Kristina says:

I nominate my friend Johny-Angel. We’ve both suffered through our thesis’ together this year and will soon live to tell about it! The stress that goes along with it and all her other trials and tribulations this years definitely makes her a great candidate for the clairsonic!

  28. Angie says:

I nominate my mom! She has been on a quest for a new skin care routine and I think this would be awesome for her!

  29. Rachel says:

I nominate my best friend and roommate Tammy who has been thoroughly stressed out from work, school, and her personal life. Her skin has been flaring up, particularly with stubborn acne, as of late so I think she deserves the benefits of a Clarisonic. She is the most wonderful, generous person in the world and I am so lucky to have a friend like her in my life!

  30. Jennifer says:

I nominate, she’s the strongest and most hardworking person I know. She’s just an adorable, selfless woman and hope to become more like as I get older. She would totally love this gift!

  31. megs says:

i nominate my sister! with trying to finish school and trying to plan her wedding she needs this!! (i totally think just those two reasons alone deserves a clarisonic brush! hahah)

  32. I nominate my “person’ in the Grey’s sense), Lexie. Her year has been a pile of death (her father, and she lost her mom in her teens), school drama and the like.
.-= Hedy@penny for my thoughts’s last blog post… Think before you participate in Free Shipping Day =-.

  33. Lysandra says:

I nominate my friend Kyli. She’s been going through some difficult times, and is affected by dysautonomia/POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), a chronic and debilitating condition which she is greatly active in spreading awareness of. She always appreciates the little things in life – I’m sure she would enjoy this and that it would be a great surprise for her.

  34. Julianne says:

I nominate my cousin, Nicole. She is a lawyer who works crazy insane hours and really has no time for herself anymore. Hopefully this little brush of magic can bring some joy back into her life!

  35. allyson says:

I’d like to nominate my mom. She never does anything for herself. She’s going to be turning 60 soon and is just now starting to have trouble with her skin.

  36. Miriam says:

I nominate my sister! Having grown up with eczema, she’s all about taking good care of her skin. Only being in high school and without a job though, she would never splurge on this kind of thing, even though she would absolutely love it!

  37. Sarona says:

I nominate my aunt since she has taught me mostly everything I know about make up and now that she’s married and has kids she barely has time to have “me time” so that would be a great thing she could have =)

  38. Syl says:

Hello and happy holidays. I am entering because I have a wonderful friend who is a beauty girl and recently has been going through a rough patch because of getting in a car accident. She is okay, but her car is not and it’s just added stress during the holidays. She has been wanting this for awhile so she needs some extra cheer. Thanks!

She is okay, but her car is not and it’s just added stress during the holidays. She has been wanting this for awhile so she needs some extra cheer. Thanks! Her name is Aisha

  40. Pansy says:

I nominate my roommate, Kristine. Both of us have been struggling with our acne during our stressful quarter this year. We found out we were both allergic to benzoyl peroxide and we tried so many cleansers, moisturizers, etc but the acne just doesn’t go away. We would love to see if Clairsonic really does live up to its expectations! :)
.-= Pansy’s last blog post… Home is where the BED is. =-.

  41. Kelsey says:

I nominate my friend Steph. Last year her father was diagnosed with late-stage prostate cancer. He has recently completed a full course chemo and radiation, and although very weak, is feeling hopeful. Steph put her plans to move to NYC and attend grad school on hold so that she could remain at home to help her mother care for him. Her strength and spirit throughout this ordeal astounds me. I’ve been wracking my brains trying to think of an appropriate Christmas gift for her; something that she could use as a personal, stress-relieving indulgence, which she really needs! A Clarisonic brush would be perfect, especially since I would never be able to afford one on my own (either for me or a friend). Thank you!
    -Kelsey

    • Nora says:

Like another reader above, I’d rather cast my vote to another person (Kelsey) since her friend and family could use something nice in their life far more than I.

  42. Karen says:

I’d like to nominate my mom. Not only is she a teacher at a local alternative high school, she is trying to finish her master’s of education in the process. She was a single parent raising us and more than any one I know, she deserves a change for the good!!

  43. Fiona says:

I definitely would want my Sister to receive the other Clarisonic as well. I think she would honestly love it. She has gorgeous skin already and is very into skincare. If she only tried it and knew the incredible benefits the Clarisonic has, I’m sure that she would go crazy over. Also, she travels frequently and gets really sensitive to outdoor elements and it shows on her skin. This would help alleviate that.

Even though I already have the Clarisonic, I don’t want to hog the other one. I rather give it to my Mother. I think this would help make her cleansing routine much simpler and quicker especially with her hectic lifestyle. She already has gorgeous skin, so why not continue the trend.

  44. Jeanne says:

Oh man, I would pick my friend (and co-blogger) Karen — we’ve known each other for half our lives now (!), and she’s a rad friend who’s stuck by me even when I’ve been less than a bestie should be.
.-= Jeanne’s last blog post… Holiday Gift Guide 2009: Accessories and Bling =-.

  45. DonnaN says:

I nominate my co-worker Cana…..she’s planning her wedding for next spring, and her fiance’ lost his job this fall with the economy-forced downsizing. With all the worry about finances and wedding planning, her skin is the least of her worries. And with no real gift exchanges this holiday, this would sure be the nicest of surprises!

  46. Jenn says:

I nominate my sister. She’s been working at a new job which is super stressful and she puts in long hours; the clarisonic would be the best pick-me up.

  47. HC says:

I nominate my boyfriend, DL. He thinks Clarisonics are for women only! I want to prove him wrong.

  48. Catherine says:

I nominate my mom. She’s working so hard to keep this family together, give us a place to live and food to eat everyday. Eventhough we are struggling financially she still tries her hardest for us to live comfortablly. I think she will like if she get one of this.

  49. EssySantiago says:

I nominate my best friend. She lost her job last year, and still can’t find a job. She has been living in a constant state of depression because she can’t afford any beauty products or new clothes., and has not been taking care of herself. Anyway because of the depression, she’s been breaking out, and she had said she wished she could buy the clarisonic. I hope i can make that dream come true. This is a great giveaway especially for the holidays. Thank you so much for offering it.

  50. Meghan says:

I nominate my best friend, Martha–she just got an awesome new job, and I reckon a little celebration would be in order for her.

  51. Amber says:

  53. Jaime says:

I would like to nominate my mom. We aren’t exchanging gifts this Christmas, because of lack of funds – but oh, how I would love to suprise her with this! She has a lot of stress in her life (my sister just moved back into my parent’s house, with a little baby – my niece!), and I would love for her to have something fun and special to treat herself to, in the sanctuary of her bathroom.

    Thank you Karen! :)

  54. Jaclyn Rose says:

I nominate my blogger sister and real life friend, Christiana. She’s worked so hard to get through the first semester of her RT program and she totally deserves this for her hard work!

  55. moRdh says:

I nominate my long time best friend Nikole. She is going to be getting married next year and stress of finishing school and planning a wedding has left her skin less then ideal. I want her to have the freshest face and to be glowing on both her special days (receiving her diploma and walking down the aisle) :-)

  56. Barbie Jones says:

I nominate my mom who is the latter stages of life, but still deserves to feel beautiful

  57. Lisa S. says:

I nominate my daughter, shes had a tough year. She lost her job and hasn’t been able to find another and I would love to raise her spirits. Both of us are makeup and beauty fanatics and she hasn’t been able to indulge in “retail therapy” in quite a long time.

  58. CC says:

I nominate my mom because she works hard at everything she does except taking care of herself. I hope the Clarisonic will smooth away some of her concerns about aging and give her the healthy glow of a newborn ;) .

  59. GeriBerry says:

I nominate my Mommy, because she’s the one that got me addicted to makeup in the first place :) She would love one of these.

  60. Babybubblz says:

I nominate my brother Felix. Sometimes guys have it hard when it comes to skincare, if they have problematic skin they can’t use makeup on a daily basis to cover it up like us gals! So I think this would be a great chance for him to try the latest skincare gadget, have better skin and gain more confidence.

  61. Margaret says:

i nominate my friend jen who’s going to have baby #4. it’ll be a nice easy break with all the kiddy chaos.

  62. I nominate my good friend Neena. She loves makeup and beauty products as much as I do, but she got married and had to move to her husband’s city last year, so she was forced to quit her job. Unfortunately, it just so happened that it was the same time the economy dropped, and so she has been jobless for over a year and has not been able to buy any fun things for herself, and this would be the best present I could give her!

  75. Chielle says:

I would say my twin sister, Diana. Because she’s been always by my side, and I know she will always be, although sometimes I burden her with my own problems without thinking about hers. So, I’d like to nominate her because she’s all I have :D

  76. Leah says:

I nominate my Hubby becuase he takes such good care of me all the time and I’d like to do the same for him. He works long hours to pay for our new house and the stress shows in his skin. I’ve heard this is great to help with razor burn which he gets from shaving each day.

  77. Faye says:

I nominate my grandmother, for two reasons: 1) even though she’s in her mid-80′s, she still tries to look her best and 2) she’s the one who taught me the importance of good skincare. She made sure I stayed out of the sun, wore a hat, and applied sunscreen, even as a little one, and I thank her for that. And her skin is pretty amazing for her age since she followed the same principles! The Clarisonic would help continue that trend.

  78. Karla says:

My friend Dannielle has been having the worst few months :( She recently found out she has some precancerous cells from her most recent pap smear and has had some painful procedures to try and get rid of them. Two weeks ago she discovered her cat has cancer and has been spending all of her money on trying to get him to feel better! Sadly nothing worked and she now has to make the decision to either put him down before Christmas or after she gets back from her trip home. She could really use this to cheer her up during this hard time in her life and I would love to out a smile on her face!

  81. Diedra says:

I nominate my best friend Angel, she is a mom with three daughters and she has put aside all of her own needs just to make sure they get everything she wants. I am always keeping on her about doing something for herself and when i read this i thought it would be a great start for her. Thanks for the chance to share!

  82. Jamie says:

i nominate my mom because she never does anything for herself. all she does is take care of our family and work. she never pampers herself and the clarisonic would be a great gift to give her. thanks :)
    .-= Jamie’s last blog post… random hauling… =-.

  83. hepkittenatplay says:

My mother would never, ever spend the money to get something like this. She’s a public school teacher on the verge of retirement; both professionally and personally, she’s way too good at taking care of everyone else and forgetting to take care of herself. I’d love for her to win one!

  84. Alice says:

I nominate my mom, Gloria. She is the most beautiful woman I know, and she doesn’t even know it. She let me play with her make up, try on her bottles of perfume, and wear her high heels growing up. Now she’s super supportive about everything including my new love for make up. She comes with when I haul, tells me the honest truth if something is not working, and always assures me that even without it, I’m just as fine.

I love my mom. This would be an awesome gift for her.!

  87. Ashley says:

I really appreciate trying to help us international folk, Karen! I don’t know many bloggers that go out of their way for us. Or maybe they do but I never hear of it :(
Even though I can’t enter, I’m rooting for everyone! CLEAR SKIN FOR ALL!!!
    .-= Ashley’s last blog post… Almost December! =-.

  88. Ellen says:

I nominate my mother because she’s having a hard time right now and needs something to lift her spirits. She has been dealing with severe back pain for almost a year now and it’s gotten so bad that she can hardly walk across the house because the pain is so crippling. After doing countless cortisone shots, nerve blocks, and months of physical therapy, they’ve decided to finally operate. She goes in for surgery on January 7th and I’m hoping something like this would speed her recovery by bringing her a little Christmas cheer.

I nominate my sister-in-law. She has three kids under the age of 5 and hasn’t had a haircut since the 2nd was born 4 years ago. She rarely has time for makeup anymore but she always says she’d feel better about not wearing any if her skin looked really great. From what I’ve read, the Clarisonic would be perfect for helping her improve her skin without taking up too much time!

  91. Terri K says:

She has worked hard in the job world, it is now time for her to take care of herself!! Love you mom!!

  93. Susan says:

I nominate my friend, Julie. She’s a single mom, raising her 16 yr old daughter by herself since her daughter was born (dad decided he didn’t want to be a dad at all). Her support system has been her parents and grandparents, and one of her grandmother’s just unexpectedly passed away, and her grandfather, who has been her daughter’s “adopted dad” her whole life has just been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. She’s had a tough time, but always has a smile and a helping hand to lend to everyone. This would be a nice gift for her to pamper herself.

  94. Nadine says:

I nominate my mother because she works soooo hard for our family and never takes the time for herself. She deserves a Clarisonic to pamper herself and her skin!

  95. veronicav says:

  97. Marinka says:

That would be my best friend. We both are really into beauty and makeup and we always buy the same stuff, but since the Clarisonic isn’t available in this country, I would love to get her one because I’m sure she’ll love it, and I will too!

  98. Bel says:

I nominate my mom, someone who has tirelessly worked to raise three children into successful young adults.

  99. Paula says:

My little brother is getting married next summer, and I’m gaining a sister-in-law. She seems to be a great fit for my brother. I would love for her to receive a Clarisonic, so that she can get her skin into tip-top shape before their wedding. Thanks for the awesome giveaway, Karen!

  100. Jessica says:

I nominate my Mom. Her skin really stresses her out, and she never spoils herself! She deserves it!!

  101. Noeladd says:

I nominate my best friend Annie. She’s had a lot of major skin problems over the years and just as those were clearing up she developed bad acne. I think the clairisonic will help us both with acne issues and hopefully boost both of our self-esteem!!! Good luck to all who enter!

  102. Carolyn says:

I nominate my mom. She drives me batty some times, but she’s perhaps the most giving person I’ve ever met. She works full time as an OR nurse educator after spending nearly 25 years as a scrub nurse. AND she’s in school full time to get her PhD in nursing research. She takes care of everyone before she even thinks of taking care of herself. This past year my grandfather has been very ill and because she’s a nurse and because she’s always done it in the past, all the duties of taking care of him have been pushed off on her by her two siblings. My little brother has been having a hard year also dealing with some anxiety and depression issues while at school, and she’s be incredibly stressed about that. She blames herself for it given that she and her family have had similar issues. Her birthday just past and all she wanted for Christmas/her birthday was this product. The girls at work all rave about it, but with two kids in school and a mortgage, she couldn’t see sparing the money for this indulgence. I wanted to buy it for her, but since I left my job a few months ago, I’m barely scraping by myself (though, I will point out that I still live at home and it wasn’t like my job was high paying, so I thankfully am a lot better off in these economic times than a lot of people are). This would be the most amazing gift for her! She does so much for others and this would be a great, quick way for her to feel like she’s pampering herself.

  103. Audrey says:

I nominate my son, Gavin. His skin has been breaking out these last few months after always being fairly clear. He doesnt complain much but I know it bugs him. Happy holidays!

  104. Sophie says:

I nominate my “chéri” ( my hubby). Next year he will turn 50, and it would be a good thing for his skin having deep wash. He looks younger than 50, because he takes care of him : so, i’m sure he would love the CLARISONIC sonic skin cleansing system… And i would too !!

  105. I nominate my mom! She needs this extra boost for her skin!! I hope to be as beautiful as she is when I’m her age, so with winning this we can both save our skin! She’s the best because even after all the stress she’s dealt with this year (my aunt dying, losing a job) my mom always has a smile on her face!

  106. Viktoria says:

I nominate my mother and my sister. My little sister still lives at home so they could share this. I would love to give this to them not only because they never treat theirself to anything fancy but also because we decided not no buy anything for this christmas, so this would be an awsome christmas gift :D

  107. Nina says:

I would love to give this to my uncle. He works hard and gives us so much. This would be a nice treat for him as he rarely pampers himself.

  108. Sarah Pierce says:

I nominate my dad…Not only did he go through a divorce this year :( he has struggled with bad skin his entire life. I’d love to give him a little confident boost and something to help him feel good about himself. Thanks for the opportunity!

  109. Carol L says:

I nominate my mother to win a Clarisonic. My mother use to get monthly facials and since my father has had a stroke and she has retired from working, she has not had time for facials. I think the Clarisonic would really replace her facials and possibly work better!

  110. MIchelle says:

I nominate my BFF, Alex, because we’ve been through a lot together over that last 10ish years, and one of those journeys has been the trial and error of fixing our skin (or beating it into submission).

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  111. Mayaari says:

I’d like to nominate my sister-in-law – aside from the fact that her birthday is Christmas Eve (and as a result, she never gets to really celebrate her birthday/gets jipped on gifts), she’s had a tough year with medical/health issues, and winning something like this would really brighten her day.

I nominate my mom. She is a devoted caregiver to my mentally and physically disabled sister, and a consistently loving wife and mother. She is the strongest and most loving woman I know. I am so proud of her and I wish she would take more time to pamper herself. A Clarisonic would be the perfect at-home spa retreat for her!

  114. Diane says:

.-= Diane’s last blog post… more on jane cosmetics! =-.

  115. I nominate my lovely sister-in-law, who is giving birth right -now-. (I’m waiting for the phonecall to tell me i just became an aunt….so exciting!)
She had a not-so-nice pregnancy which is an understatement, and hasn’t been able to really enjoy it at all. On top of that a lot of other horrible stuff happened in her life, work-related, but also family-related. For example, her grandmother had a brainattack(?), which was pretty serious and scary, she couldnt talk right and forgot a lot of things. My sisterinlaw also found one of her beloved cats, dead in the catroom, who probably had a heartattack. And those are just 2 examples.
As you can imagine, she’s been having a real hard time, and I would really like her to have something nice. Since she became pregnant she hasnt been feeling well, not even for one day, and she also had issues with her skin. The Clarisonic would be perfect to help her with that and give her something nice. She really deserves something special, because she is a special person who is always there for everyone.

OMG, she just called my husband, and the baby is here!!! :)

  118. Gail says:

I nominate my sister. She has extremely bad Rosacea and this would truly help clear up her skin. Not only is her skin craving for the clarisonic but she as a person deserves this truly wonderful invention by clarisonic.

Not only is she a a nurse but she takes care of so many different people. This includes family, friends and complete strangers. She is always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. My sister is constantly participating in any event to help others. She does walks, donates money, and of course donates her time.

I would love to be able to give something back to her the way she has for so many people. She has continued to amaze me as a person the older we get and I am truly lucky to have a sister like her. I would really love to see her face light up from happyness versus the red patches that Rosacea causes on her face

Thank you Karen and Clarisonic for this wonderful opportunity and good luck to everyone.

Because she needs it! lol well she always uses makeup and now her face is a bit bumpy and she always cleanses but needs something to help her face to regain its natural beauty :D

I would nominate my cousin, Sara. Our family together have been going through a tragedy that took a toll on all of the family members. She’s a great girl/daughter/friend/girlfriend who doesn’t care about looks or the little things in life and doesn’t even care a thing about make-up. But the one thing she cares about is her skin. She’s been battling with it for years and its slowly getting better but needs something different to make it even better! I think clarisonic is going to give her skin that glow without using harsh prescriptions. And for x-mas i got her a eye-lash curly and the cover girl last blast length just to open/brighten her eyes up and this would be a great addition to the present!

She doesn’t believe how smooth my skin feels after washing with Clarisonic, or how my moisturizer just sinks in. Thank you!!

  158. Winnie says:

I nominate my mom. Starting a family in a different country is not easy for anyone, and she has dedicated countless hours and poured out an endless stream of love for my siblings and I. This could be a way she could take care of herself for once and be the one that is pampered.

I became like a personal shopper for her – so much fun spending someone else’s money! We were back door neighbors in Colorado and now I am in Maryland and she is Rhode Island. I would LOVE to share this with her and I know she would LOVE to get it as well!!!

  166. Isabella says:

I nominate my mom. She never asks for anything for Christmas, so I think this would be a nice Christmas surprise!

  168. Kate says:

I nominate my mom (don’t I sound like a suck up?!)

My mom is a nurse and has been for over 30 years. She works in an outpatient wound recovery center, assisting patients who have survived serious trauma, as well as those with long term debilitating diseases like diabetes. She spends over 8 hours a day on her feet and was diagnosed this year with work-induced carpal tunnel from wrapping compression bandages.

When she comes home, she’s often too tired to do anything special for herself. I grew up watching her “spruce” herself up every single day – for as long as I can remember, she has worn her trademark rasberry red lipstick and a bunch of rhinestone pins on her scrubs to work every day. She loves the small beauty rituals in life and I think she’d get a kick, as well as some welcome relaxation, out of her own little spa indulgence using the Clarisonic!

  169. Mookie says:

I nominate my mom. She is a great example of a strong woman. She is beautiful from the inside out.

    Thanks!

My 88-year old mother cleanses and flosses every day at 7 p.m. A Clarisonic would make this chore faster and more effective. XXOO

Nominating my mother! She’s worked so hard all her life and afforded so few luxuries, that this would just be perfect for her aging skin.

  192. Jinnzor says:

Hmmm, comment didn’t post the first time : /

I’d like to nominate my sister because she is the most kind and thoughtful woman I know. Love her <3

  193. I nominate the lady across the street whose family we adopted for Christmas. Every year we give her kids presents and try to get her something to make her feel special. She is single, has a small home and raises 4 children. You can see the stress of life on her face. She has never asked for a handout and we only bring her gifts as a “neighborly” way of saying “Merry Christmas”. She is a very proud woman and works hard to keep her children fed and clothed. She doesn’t know that every year we “adopt” her family. I’m sure she has an inkling of an idea, but we always present the gifts to her and her family as if we do this for all our neighbors.

She is always extremely thankful, humble and kind. I would love to give her one of these. It would give me another reason to spend more time with her as well.

  194. Baby Girl says:

I would nominate my mom and my sister. I wouldn’t keep one for myself. They both are difficult to shop for and I think these would be just right for both of them. My mom retired earlier this year and has finally started taking care of herself and my sister has that pain in the a**sensitive skin.

  195. Tracy P says:

I nominate my mom. She works so hard especially at christmas time putting little shoes on tiny feet. She recently fell and broke her arm. I think giving this to her would really cheer her up!

  196. Sara says:

I nominate my friend Melissa. She’s struggling with with some things right now, and could use a “pick-me-up”, plus she has been the most awesome friend a woman could have by helping me through so many of my own crisises, big and small, this year!

Hi Karen, this is so great of you. I nominate my BFF Barbara, two reasons: 1, she’s allergic to so many skin care products, and the Clarisonic, involving no application of any chemicals, would be so perfect for her, and 2, her beoved cat passed away last month (at a very old age) and I think this would cheer her up. Thanks for a fun blog and a fun contest!

  204. Ashley says:

I nominate my mom because she’s a fighter. it’s her 2nd year cancer-free after suffering from breast cancer. I know she doesn’t feel as pretty anymore and thinks her skin looks dull from the chemo. She never gives up though and has always been a selfless person. Each Christmas she doesn’t want anything and won’t let people get her gifts but instead spends her money on toys for tots and other charities. She put others first all her life, including myself, so I think a little pampering would be great for her!

Since all she does for her skin is the old fashioned wash and rinse with soap and lotion *sometimes*, I would really love for her to have this! Haha!

my mom, for finally starting to think of herself after years of only thinking of us.

I nominate my friend Aimee… she is my partner in crime when it comes to beauty products!

  213. Kay says:

i nominate my sister andrea. her face refuses to clear up.

  214. Lisa says:

  219. Tiffany says:

I nominate my mom! She never buys nice things for herself because she always spends her money on other people! This would be a great gift to her since she could pamper herself :)

  223. Vickie says:

I nominate my little sister Bekki. She’s only 20 and has just been hit with cervical cancer. The treatments she’s starting will make her lose her hair, but she refuses to stop being beautiful. This would certainly bring her a little cheer.
    .-= Vickie’s last blog post… (via loveyourchaos) =-.

I would nominate my mom. She’s a Kindergarten teacher and spends a lot of her time bettering her classroom for her students. I’m sure she would love this :)

  227. Oanh says:

I nominate my sister, she has been suffering with skin issues for many years now and this will make her very happy.

  228. Lisa says:

I nominate my friend Elizabeth who is sweet and generous. She has been wanting to try different skin care options but is always too busy doing things for others to find time and money for it.

  229. Emily says:

I nominate my mom. She paid out of pocket for my skin to be fixed when I got horrible cystic acne and had no insurance. Now that I have “normal” skin, I told her I wanted one of these for Christmas and she was interested until she heard the price. She is concerned about her own skin because she’s starting to have signs of aging. I would love to win this for her!

  230. Susie G says:

I nominate my step mom, cause she deserves something fancy like this for all the hard work she’s done this year. Plus, she is a skin care freak!

  232. Carol says:

I nominate my mother in law, Carolyn. (Yes, we both share the same first name!) She has gone through a nightmare of a year. She sold her business, her best friend died suddenly from cancer, and her father suffered a massive stroke and died — all within two months. She is the heart and soul of the family, and always makes sure everyone – family or not – feels at home and welcome. I would love to give her a fantastic present for Christmas like the Clarisonic.

  237. Jennifer says:

I nominate my mom, because she never thinks to buy something girly and fun all for herself. She only discovered the joy of mani’s and pedi’s a few years ago. She needs to know that taking care of herself is important. ;)

  241. Katy says:

My sister Becky, because I love her so much and we’ve been through everything together!

  242. VEDA says:

I nominate my sister Sophie. She is a sophmore at college and is struggling with funds and I know she would never buy something like this for herself. The stress of finals and living away from home for the first time has really made her skin break out more this last year. Plus she is an awesome sister!!!

  243. Dana L says:

My boyfriend’s sister Emily! Over the past three years, we’ve gotten so close and always end up buying the same things, so it’s only fit we have the same facial brush!

Geez, wish I could nominate an entire list of people, but if I must choose one…I choose to nominate my little sister Karina. She’s been going through a rough patch lately. She’s only fifteen, but has been having breakdowns left and right and no, it’s not only teenage drama. 316. Eileen says:

i nominate my aunt charlene! she’s such an important figure in my life because she was there for me as a kid when my parents weren’t. as you can imagine, she has had a huge influence on me. she always told me to take good care of my skin because she never wanted me to realize that once it was too late. she’s so sweet–she’s treated me to my first lancome lipglosses before i was into makeup! and her obsession with sunscreens rubbed off onto me, but i’d say that’s a good thing (: shes ill at the moment, but im sure this would be a much deserved christmas cheer once she gets better!

  317. Xin says:

I nominate myself. Everyone needs a little self-pampering once in a while. If I don’t take care of myself, who will?

  318. Annigje says:

I do nominate my best friend. She means so much to me, but we are seperated from each other since we’re following two complete different studies in two different towns along the country. We’re spending so much time without each other, so I thinks this is a nice gift to show how much I care about her. She has a very troubled skin with many dry spots, very itching. I realy hope the clarisonic could help her!
    .-= Annigje’s last blog post… Hand- & Nagelverzorging =-.

  319. JULIE REGER says:

I would like to nominate my cousin. She has always had so many skin issues and breakouts and has never been able to get them under control. In the past two years she had twin girls, moved 6 times between two different states (her husbands job) and is on a strict budget time and money wise. I thought this might help her skin and be a nice little surprise for her.

Thank you for the give away chance :)

  320. Monica says:

I nominate my Mom. She will always do for others before she does for herself. This would really help with her menopausal skin issues.

I nominate my best friend and the person I admire the most – my mom :-) She is amazing and has had some really tough times in the past month and she never ever spoils herself (too busy spoiling all of us daughters :-P). She has always been there for me and my 3 little sisters and she never asks for anything in return. I think this would be a great way to show her how much we appreciate her and everything she does!! Thanks Karen :-)

  323. Betty says:

I would nominate my mother!! she is the greatest person in the world. She has battled every skincare issue EVER EXISTED. Both she and I could use some HELP in that department. Plus neither of us has the money to spend on something as luxurious as this.

Thanks Karen for giving everyone such a great chance!!

  326. Elaine R says:

I nominate my best friend Gel! Through thick and thin she’s always been there for me. I’m a makeup & beauty late bloomer and through the years she’s been my saviour for helping me get ready for any big events on my calendar. She’s been having a rough month and winning this would put a huge smile on her face.

  327. Melia says:

I nominate my best friend Sofia, she and I share the love of make-up and skincare. She’s a pharmacist and we have the best times when she’s on call. I fix her nails and she tries out face masks on me. She’s always looking out for the next best new discovery in skincare and she would love to try this, as we can’t get this where we live.

  328. Patty says:

I nominate my best friend, Jenny. She’s ALWAYS been there for me esp when I went through my rough break up this year. She def deserves this. If we win this I will give mine to my mom too because she has worked so hard taking care of my brother who is autistic.

  331. Kristina Linn says:

I would like to nominate my mom. She is really just the most amazing mom in the world and has done such an amazing job since my dad died. Also, she is just now, at the age of 58, finally pampering herself a little. She’s started to use a moisturizer and wear makeup and paint her nails. I’m so proud of her. She also really deserves this because it’s so hard to get her spend money on herself. She won’t even let me spend any money on her.

  332. Carla says:

I would like to nominate my sister in law, susy, who has had one of the worst years financial…even though she’s having such tough times, she is still willing to help others…I would love to be able to give her one of these brushes, since money is so tight…and loves makeup too…Thanks Karen for this giveaway.

  333. Tess says:

I nominate my friend Lori. I am blessed to have such a wonderful friend whose been with me through thick and thin since we met in sixth grade in 1973! She is beautiful in every way and really wants a Clarisonic.

  334. yoruhana says:

I nominate two of my best friends! As much as I would love to keep one of these products for myself, these two people have influenced and touched me throughout our friendship that I would hate to choose between the both of them. One of them just called off her engagement to a guy she was dating for over 8 year due to irreconcilable differences and this product would be an outstanding present to help her back into the single’s market. The other is a grad student working on her PhD to become a psychologist and loves working with veterans. She’s in upstate New York and I know she’s been complaining about her skin issues for a while. Not only would this be a great present but I hope that it would help alleviate an un-necessary stress.

  335. Amanda says:

I nominate my friend who just found out her fiancee is being deployed and needs a little holiday pick me up.

  336. Genta says:

I would like to nominate my older sister Edrina. She has sacrificed so much to help our family for the past four years while my dad was working out of town. This would definitely help her with the break outs she has been experiencing from stress. This would mean alot to her and it would give her one less thing to worry about in the end of the day.

  337. Catherine says:

I’m so excited this is open to international readers, thanks Karen! I nominate my boyfriend who has skin issues and tries to take care of it, but I think something “high-tech” like the Clarisonic would help him feel more motivated and happy with his results!

  338. Kelli says:

My mom would love this. She is the strongest, most amazing person I have ever known.

  339. sparklehead says:

Hi Karen, thanks for the chance to win these! I nominate my mother. Her mother died of breast cancer when she was very young and she never had someone to lovingly show her about makeup, skin care, etc. ; she doesn’t wear a single stitch of makeup. Through your blog and other online tutorials I’ve learned about (girly) beauty products on my own and now I’ve started using that information to help my mother put together a better, more thought out skin-care routine, something her mother couldn’t do and something no one has done for the past 50 years. We bought her a shower organizer and filled it with products, I wrote out a morning and night plan with the order of the products, and she has been having so much fun with it! She keeps asking me if I can see a difference :) She loves electronics and anything she considers “modern”; I know she would love a Clarisonic Brush, and I would love to be able to give her one.

  340. Heather says:

This giveaway is amazing!! I have been lemming a Clarisonic Brush for so long, because I have heard such amazing things about it!

If I could nominate anyone, it would by my mom – she is my best friend & I don’t know how I would survive without her! I would love to be able to treat her with this wonderful product!

  341. Naz says:

I nominate my mum – because I’d think that she would really enjoy this treat. Thank you Karen for having this wonderful contest!

  343. Kristen says:

I nominate my BFF Danielle, who is having a really tough time lately. She just purchased her first home, and is now at risk of losing her job — right before the holidays — and is really bummed about it, understandably. We live hours apart, so I can’t offer her a hug or even just the comfort of being there to talk in person. I would love to give her this super awesome gift to lift her spirits at a time when she really needs it.

  344. Natalie says:

I nominate my best friend, my mom. She has worked so hard to make a normal life for us here in America. She always puts us first without thinking twice. I know she wouldnt even consider buying something so luxurious and expensive for herself so it would be a pleasure to give her something like this.

  345. My3Sons33 says:

I nominate my sister, Michele. She could use a little pampering.

  346. Lisa says:

I want to nominate my colleague Tina. Just after Christmas last year her father passed away. She then gave birth to her second child. Her dad never got to meet his grandson. This christmas will be her son’s first, and her first without her dad. With two kids, Tina doesn’t have much time to herself. This would be the perfect gift for her.

  347. Brandy says:

I nominate my sister. She is young, a newlywed, a full time student and has a full time job. She has had a terrible time with her skin since she was a teenager and with all that she is going through right now, her skin is paying for it. I think the Clarisonic is just what she needs.

  348. T says:

I nominate my husband. Who says men can’t keep up with their skincare as well?!! I think it would make a huge difference in his skin.

  349. Monica says:

I nominate my mom – she taught me all about skin care from a very young age, and because of her hard work taking care of her skin she looks at least ten years younger than she is! I know she would use a tool like this every day, especially because she’d never splurge on herself!

  350. Calista says:

I would nominate my mother. She is my everything and has always been there for me
through the ups & downs. I know she would be ecstatic to have a Clarisonic!!

  351. Amie Collins says:

i nominate my mom! She would rather do things for others than for herself and she needs to start taking care of her for once!

  352. pinksoysauce says:

I would like to nominate my mother, because she’s always put my skincare and beauty needs above hers, and my life above hers in general. Sometimes I ask her, why? Shouldn’t you pamper yourself too? and tell her that she can forget about me, but she never does.

This is such a wonderful giveaway – thank you Karen, for hosting it, and Clarisonic for sponsoring MBB!

  353. shivotra says:

  355. Heather T. says:

Hi Karen, I nominate my mom! I can see mostly all have too, but she is seriously the most special and greatest woman in my life. Although she just hit her 50s, she really doesn’t do much to take care of her aging skin besides some anti-wrinkle Olay moisturizer. Her skin has seriously been clear of any blemishes all her life, but I can tell its loosing its radiance (sagging and wrinkles on her forehead). Not only will the Clarisonic improve this, I hope she will finally start to take better care of her skin habitually. She never purchases luxuries for herself and, before now, I was at a total loss at what to give/repay her!
dot dot curve [:)] & thank you for an amazing opportunity

  356. denise says:

i nominate my mom, she really needs a good skin care routine but she doesn’t like to spend alot of money on skin care because she thinks that it wont work. I hope this will change her mind. I have bought her many different things in the past so i hope that i am able to win this for her,

  357. Natalie says:

I nominate my mother Domnikia (Diana to her friends). She immigrated to the United States from Russia the same year that I was born and since then has done everything that she can to ensure that our family of seven (yes, that means that there are FIVE of us kids!!!) did the absolute best that we could financially, socially, and academically. She has always put our family first before herself and has recently been having some health problems. This would just make her Christmas! She has never been the type to spend money, always economizing so that we the kids could have better. In fact, she feels guilty for spending money on luxuries like expensive clothes, makeup, etc. To this day, even though she doesn’t have to, she still occasionally shops at second hand stores because the thought of paying department store prices on clothing makes her feel guilty. Over the years shes worked very hard to help new immigrants in our church succeed, donating money, clothing, food, and her time and energy to help them settle into life here in America. If there is anyone that deserves some pampering, it is definitely my mother.

  358. Lucy says:

Please include me in the giveaway. I nominate my best friend Linda. She does everything for me. I don’t go out of the house, only on rare occasions. She does all of my shopping for me. She also looks for the drugstore nail polish that I crave. She is amazing. Thank you.

My grandpa died 2 years ago from Lymphoma, another type of cancer. This Christmas will be the first one without both of them and I know it will be difficult for her. I think this would be a perfect gift for her since she never splurges on herself and would help get her mind off of not having my grandparents around this Christmas. She’s been traumatized from the 8th grade about her acne because a boy in her grade called her ‘ProActiv’. Ever since she has never felt the same about herself. I would love for her to use the Clarisonic cleansing system to see if this would help exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin damaged by her radiation treatments. The fading of these marks would help her self-esteem as she proudly rebuilds her life. I hope all the women warriors like her continue to have faith…Miracles can and do happen!

I nominate my mother, because she never spoils herself, ever! And no one deserves to be pampered more than her.

  419. Thuy Ngo says:

I’d like to nominate my sister. She’s a new mom, and she’s been so busy taking care of her baby for the past year that she hasn’t had time to take care of herself like she used to. Being a mom is a tough job, and for that I think she truly deserves this lovely present.

  420. hana k. says:

I nominate my mom. It would definitely be a treat for her since she never spends too much money on herself and she is getting a little worried about her skin as she’s getting older.

  421. Julie says:

I would like to give one to my mom. Lately shes been so stressed her aging process has quickened. Even though she is has a lot on her plate, she still drives me to all my clubs and after school activities. With SAT’s coming up, she still never fails to make a nice home cooked meal, even though she hates cooking. She has sacrificed so much for my Dad, brother and I. Whenever we go shopping and she doesn’t have enough on her, she’ll put away what she was going to get so I can get what I want. Shes been trying to find a miracle youth rejuventer. I hope she can get one! I love you mommy<3

  422. Renee says:

I nominate my sister, because she’s been worrying lately about how her skin’s been changing and she’s been breaking out more often. This would help her a lot!

I nominate my mom! When I started to care of my skin, she sad to me : “Pay attention in what you eat and no matter what time you´re going to sleep, clean your face, carefully”.Well, it was hard in the beginning, but now that advices became rules, my skin don´t let me forget about it.

  424. Katrina says:

I nominate my mom – my hero, my best friend. She looks great at 54 but doesn’t take a lot of time for herself, which is always my job to spoil her at Christmas and get her everything that she won’t get herself. This is truly something that I’d love to give her but probably wouldn’t splurge on, she deserves it though.

  425. TalluluhBella says:

Wow, what a great giveaway Karen :)

I’d nominate my lovely mum as she’d never buy something like this herself but I know she would love it! xx

  426. Patty says:

I nominate my mom. She’s at the age where she should be retired already, but she continues to work because my brother and I are both still in school and she wants to give us a certain quality of life she never had when she was in college. She deserves this and so, so much more.

  427. Jess says:

I nominate my best friend, Angie, who is my beauty buddy! We do so much makeup stuff together, it only makes sense that we’d take care of our skin together too! And she’s just awesome, thus she deserves one! =)

  428. Aparnaa says:

I nominate my friend Meh. She’s always there for me for the stupid and the heavy, no matter what, and ALWAYS responds to my panicked dressing room text messages even if she has finals coming up. (Not that I would know or anything from the last 24 hours, or anything…heh) Plus, her skin freaks out just like mine – I bet she’d love something that gets rid of her makeup and improves the texture of her skin!

  429. Alice says:

I nominate my daughter, Alicia to receive a Clairsonic brush. This year has been really tough for Alicia. She’s gone through a very painful breakup, and I have seen her lose some confidence in herself. Thank you sooooo much Karen for ensuring that a Jamaican beauty like me would not be excluded from this once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you for this great giveaway!

  433. jess says:

I nominate on of my best friends, Jennifer. I have known her since I was 10. She is the sweetest person with such a big heart! She has stuggled a lot in her life: a parent with an abusive habit that led to her parent’s divorce, starting over in a new town at a young age, and then that same parent’s life taken away because of liver failure. She is such a strong girl and a loyal friend, I couldnt think of some better who deserves this! She has also been struggling with skin issues her whole life; this would make her extremely happy! Thanks so much, Karen and Clarisonic for this great opportunity!!!

  440. Lesley says:

I nominate my friend, Tasha. She’s been my best friend for over 10 years, and is the most selfless, caring person I know. She’s a wonderful single mom and has been since the time i met her. This past year has been quite rough for her, so I think she deserves something like this to bring a smile to her face and brighten her day. :)
.-= Lesley’s last blog post… Joshua Radin?? Is That You?? =-.

    Thank you!!!

  447. Lisa K. says:

I nominate my best friend Melissa. The economy has forced her to make some major changes in her lifestyle, which included giving up any & all new beauty products. I’ve been passing some of my unloved products on to her but this would just make her day (and mine!)

  448. Pat says:

    My big sis Glen!

  449. cmuras says:

I nominate my mom because she taught me all I know about beauty and confidence. All the new tricks I find, she’s known them for ages and knows a better/easier way to do it. She’s truly selfless, caring and beautiful inside and out, and most importantly, a little crazy!

  450. Nancy says:

I nominate my mom! She is such a selfless woman and rarely treats herself to anything. Although I think she has pretty remarkable skin for someone her age, I know she has been looking for ways to treat some of her wrinkles and firm up her skin a bit! I love my mom for all the sacrifices she has made for our family and would love to spoil her with the Clarisonic!! Thank you Karen & Clarisonic!! :)

  451. Victoria says:

I nominate my mom. It’s been hard for both of us since I moved away and I would love to know she’s taking good care of herself when I’m gone.

  452. Daria says:

I nominate my little sister Kira; she is THE biggest makeup buff I know and is considering a career as a professional makeup artist (for cinema) once she finishes college. This year she became extremely ill and ended up with permanently infected tonsils which are being surgically removed this friday in attempt to help her get better. I know she’s been considering purchasing one of these things, but cannot afford one. What better post-op gift then this? I know this would really brighten up her holiday!

PS, this explains why I couldn’t get to your website all day!

  453. Lorraine says:

I nominate my sister Audrey. She has been suffering from depression since her partner died and might cheer up if she were to win a great self care product like the Clarisonic brush.

I nominate my sister! She’s always had problematic skin and I know she’d love to try this!

  455. Jennifer says:

I nominate my mom. This has definetly been a really hard year for her and it may not get easier with our current economy. She has really sacrificed so much for me and I think she really deserves something to cheer her up. She’s had many skin conditions her whole life and she’s spent endless amounts of money to make sure that I would not have to suffer through those same conditions like she did. My mom would never buy herself anything fancy and I really want to see her get spoiled for a change.

  456. Hyzenthlay says:

I tried this earlier, but I don’t see my nomination, so I will try again. I nominate one of my students, Lindsay. She’s a senior in high school, getting ready to go to college, and is my TA. She’s more like a college TA than a high school TA, and I would love to be able to thank her by giving her a tool that will be useful to her as she heads into the stresses of college!

  457. Lisa says:

I nominate my mom; she splurges on me year-round and she could use a little pampering herself :)

  458. Samantha says:

I nominate my mom she has been working really hard to get her masters degree and she deserves some pampering. She never treats herself and she really deserves something nice, plus she loves skin care.

  459. Shiny says:

Yay for it being open to internationals!!!

I would love to give one of these to my mother. My Mum just turned 50 and I know she would never splurge on something like this for herself… even though she is willing to do anything for the people around her. She doesn’t look her age (and is naturally gorgeous) but I think something like this would be a good boost for her now that she feels that age is catching up with her skin. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  460. Jane says:

I nominate my friend Jan. We have been through thick and thin together through losing a child (me) to losing a grandchild (her). We may not see each other for awhile, but we are able to just start where we left off. There is no bettr friend in the world

  461. J. says:

I nominate my bff “M”. This has been a hard year for her, the end of a long sickness with her Mom. She’s getting used to her new life (without having her Mom to run to to talk things out), but no matter how brave a face she puts on, she’s having a hard time. She’s beautiful, inside and out. She’s been doing things lately to make herself feel better, new clothes, rockin’ new do, flirting, and I think this would add to her confidence and bring a much needed smile to her face. She truly is a wonderful person, she’s out there today in crazy temperatures (-35°C) finishing my Christmas shopping for me because I’m a single mom and it’s hard to shop bringing the giftie with you!! I love her guts.

  465. Jenny says:

I would love to nominate my mom. She’s always been the strong one of the family. Had to suffer through nasty comments from my dad’s side of the family & the bitchyness of my dad is not fun neither. Lots of drama, that’s all I can say.

  466. ezzie says:

I definatly nominate my mom, because she truly deserves something special. I will proudly say that my mom is my best friend, and she means the world to me! past Christmases I have always given her a simple ten dollar gift for I couldn’t really splurge. It would be nice to be able to present her with a gift that is a bit more pricey and she will be able to use it everyday. When my mom was in her 20s, she used to care a lot for her skin and such, but now she’s a mommy of three, and with her work, she rarely has time to treat herself. My mom uses a simple St.Ives cleanser to take the day off her face and though I’ve tried to get her to use more expensive products for her delicate skin, she always tells me that it’s okay. I would love to see her opening her Clarasonic for christmas, and i’m positive she’ll love it! ^-^

  467. Natalija says:

  468. Kypris says:

I nominate my mom… she’s been through some very tough times recently but I’m so proud of how well she is coping and finally doing things for herself and to better herself and her situation. She never splurges on anything, but like me, she does love facials, and creams and cleansers and all those lovely goodies, so I think is something she’d really appreciate.

Thank you so much for the chance!!!

  474. Kris says:

I nominate my friend Cynthia – she is always there for me! She stayed with me on Chemo days.

I nominate my lovely mom. She loves beauty products almost as much as I do, and . . . oh, yes: I lu-lu-LOVE her.

  489. Spiff says:

I nominate my mom! She grew up poor in southern china and fled to the united states to escape communism. I was always hoping I would have skin like hers (didn’t happy, boo)! It was smooth, clear, soft, and beautiful. She never cared for her skin because she was too busy raising my brother and me, and yet somehow it still remained so lovely. Now that she’s getting older, her skin (although still very nice) is starting to age. I would love to be about to give her this so she can know it’s okay to be pampered!

  490. Kerry says:

I nominate my mum. She’s had a tough year in many ways, but recently she’s had some pre-cancerous lesions removed from her face, which has left her with visible scars. If she won the clarisonic, it would help her to feel like she was doing something good for her skin and make her feel better about it.

  491. Alaina says:

  496. kae says:

I nominate my mom. She’s had acne her whole teenage life and onwards, even til now as a 45 year old. She’s never found anything that completely works for her. It always gets better, then returns. I really hope this is the answer for her because she can’t afford any luxury or expensive washes or creams because she has had to file bankruptcy because her father decided to move out of the country out of the house under her name (but her parents were supposed to pay), so it got reposessed. I really hope the Clarisonic will give her her confidence back, especially at a tough financial time for her like this.

  497. joanne says:

I would like to nominate my niece, Sonia Ann. We have a difficult relationship, but I nonetheless love her and would love to share something like this with her. 505. rasilla says:

    I nominate my friend Sar.
recently she has been going through a tough time, which…though we are close friends she has yet to open up to me about. She’s in my thoughts and my prayers, and I’m just waiting for her to be comfortable enough to let me help/share in her difficulties. I do think that part of this stems from her recent (past year) trouble with her skin, and I think that the classic might be a way for me to show how I do care, and for her to work on it as well.

  506. sara says:

I nominate my mom. She is always doing kind things for others- from her family to her kindergarten students, and never has time for herself. She taught me how fun it is to play with makeup and have a beauty routine, and I know she would love a Clarisonic!

  508. Megan says:

I would like to nominate my friend Rachel. She has been working in the skincare industry for years & she loves it! She sadly lost her job a couple weeks ago :( she does everything for everybody else by donating & voluntering her time to needy people!! Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

  512. Bomi says:

I’d also give it to my friend who’s lived across the street.
We’ve known each other since we were 5 years old, the summer before 1st grade started.
I had just moved into the block and because we were so little, we weren’t allowed to cross the street. We started yelling at eachother, “I HATE YOU!” for some random reason and when we went into our classroom I noticed the same girl sitting there. At first, we “hated” eachother… then we got closer and closer and until this day she is my best friend.
She’s done so much for me while I grew up, and I think I’m still growing because of her. She’s the one I could tell about problems with my parents or my brother. When i was crying and down because of stress or boys I went to her house to cry on her bed.
I feel like because I was involved with so many more extracurricular stuff, I didn’t give her the time she gave me.
She’d be so excited about the Clarisonic brushes.

  513. Vanassa says:

I nominate my friend, Ting, who is going back to Malaysia for good in January. She is going through some relationship problems because of that. We’ve been friends thoughout college years, and she is a supportive friend! She paid my college tuition and took care of almost everything so I could concentrate on studying. She sacrificed a lot for me and I think she deserve everything I could get for her. Her skin has turned very oily since she turned 20-ish, so I hope this brush would help.

  518. Mimi S says:

My mother soooooo deserves one of these!! She is 57 and is having a lot of skin problems. Plus she just broke her thumb and is having a very stressful season! This would definitely make her feel better.

  519. evo says:

i nominate my mom cuz she never spoils herself with these type of “investment” pieces.
growing up poor, she alwayz took care of her siblings before taking care of herself.

  520. Brennan says:

I would like one of these to go to my awesome mom. She has raised me all on her own, and is a super strong woman. She can’t play sports, but she gamely took on the role of pitcher, batter, goaltender, and whatever I needed her to be when I wanted to play sports. She is the best mom in the world! This would be a great treat for her.

  521. Molly says:

i nominate my mom, because she gives up so much for my sister and me. she deserves this:]

I nominate my friend Dawn. In the pass year she has lost 2 jobs due to the economy and lost her home. She is a single mother of 5 and the stress is taking it’s toll physically. It would be great to give her something that will benefit her skin and make her feel pampered.

  523. OneGreatSmile says:

i’d nominate my best childhood friend in the whole world. I had to relocate for work and picked a home 5 miles away from her, after living on opposite coasts for 20 years. She has been like a sister to me because i lost my job right after they moved me here (yah, rocket scientists). My skin has been a wreck getting used to the new climate and she asked her husband, a dermatologist to help me. Even HE has gone above and beyond. I’d like to return the favor of beautiful skin for all the love and support they’ve BOTH given me by giving her a clarisonic. Good luck to all!!

  524. Diona says:

I nominate my sister. She has suffered from acne the majority of her adult life. I know she has given up on having beautiful skin. I think if she gives Clarisonic a try, she will see great improvement.
    .-= Diona’s last blog post… Man’s best friend… =-.

  525. Lindsey Partridge says:

I nominate my mother Nancy. Although not the conventional beauty, she is the most beautiful women I know, inside and out. She does so much for my siblings, grandchildren and I that she never takes time for herself. And because the Clarisonic will work it’s magic in only a few minutes, I know she’ll love to use this and have a maximum effect. Please choose her

  531. Amahal says:

I nominate my sister because she has wanted one of these!

I’m going with a lot of other people here and nominating my mom. She has had somewhat of a rough year, and definitely deserves something luxurious. She never hesitates to splurge and spoil her kids (including me and I’m 22), and yet never gives a thought to what she herself wants. She already has gorgeous skin, but with the pampering a clarisonic will give her, she wil be absolutely glowing! :)

  533. Sarah Cohen says:

I nominate my mom! Since my brother is cancer patient, my mom never has time to get pampered. She dervesres this more than anyone!

I nominate my sister because she moved to NYC recently and it would help her add even more sparkle to the Big Apple! (Plus, I miss her).

  535. Kristina says:

Wow, I am apparently the 544th person who doesn’t own a Clarisonic. I nominate my mom, because knowing her she will probably take my new clarisonic when she visits. She should have her own.

I have a neuro-muscular illness and my skin has taken a beating from the chemical IV therapy, I am hoping this is the magic that will make me pretty again.

  536. Radina says:

My mom! She deserves a nice holiday treat

  537. Lindsey says:

I nominate my mom because she NEVER buys anything nice for herself, and rarely has time to even look in the mirror, yet she has taught me everything I know about skincare and I think she needs to take some time out to pamper herself more as she is getting older.

  538. LeeAnn says:

I nominate my best friend Ashley. She is such a beautiful person inside and out, and has been there for me through thick and thin, but is very self-conscious about her skin. She has been having terrible breakouts for the past year and I think the Clarisonic could be the remedy.

I would like to nominate my best friend for life. Her name is Chutarat. Her nickname is Ooy.

We have spent the last 17 years together. Yes ! since I was teenager. She is with me both good and bad times. So I want her to be the part of this activity with me

What a fantastic product! This will be THE thing to have in 2010. :) I nominate my beautiful little sister, who I haven’t seen in over a year!

  546. Christine says:

I nominate my BFF Liz, she drove me to every single one of my chemo appointments this year.

  547. imergo says:

My sister – neither one of us is getting any younger, and she has the driest skin on earth!

I would like to nominate my sister, we both are having skin issues and could use a pick me up. This would be perfect!

  549. Melanie says:

I nominate my mom. She is a beautiful, strong woman, and has faced divorce, an abusive relationship, losing her home, and most difficult of all, her worsening MS. I wish she was able to feel thoroughly beautiful and pamper herself even on the days she feels the worst.

  550. Fay. H. says:

I would nominate my friend Jasmine. She has terrible skin problems that she’s constantly worrying over and spends a lot of money and time obsessing over her skin. Unfortunately we’re both students so these wonderful products is out of our reach. To be able to give her one for Christmas would totally make her day!

  551. Julia says:

I would like to nominate my friend and co-worker Kori, who is going through a tough break-up right now after a 7 year relationship came to an unexpected end! She’s also had skin issues lately and just recently went on Accutane, so this would be much appreciated by her I know!

  552. Amber Mae says:

I nominate my baby sister, she love make-up like me and she’s becoming a teenager and this will sure help her face get cleared up.

  553. Barb Brake says:

I nominate my friend Karen. We have been buds since high school and it’s her fault I am such a product junky!

  554. Lindsey says:

I nominate my bff and cousin, KC. She is newly pregnant after being told she couldn’t conceive and VERY worried about each step along the way. She’s also dealing with a bad case of pregnancy hormones that are causing her to break out and I think this would be a great gift to pamper her and help her deal with her new skin. :)

I’m nominating her because she has supported me and loved me through everything – boyfriends, moving states, new jobs, mean bosses, being laid off, everything. And while I don’t always appreciate her particular brand of “tough love” her honesty and unfailing support always help me make it through. I’d like to be able to buy her a fancy present this year to celebrate her new role as a mommy AND show her how much I appreciate her in my life, but since I got laid off and took a 30k pay-cut that will be a major stretch this Christmas. Help Karen! :)

She has three kids, one of whom has autism, has just moved, and has been having the worst time imaginable at work (we are both Special Ed teachers, and if the kids are hard the management is worse). The stress has been unbelievable, but she’s just kept on going. So a little bit of pampering could be just what she needs! Add to that we can’t access the clarisonic in Australia and it would be perfect.

  558. Jeni says:

I nominate my Mom: she’s a pretty cool lady, and she taught me to moisturize religiously when I was a teenager! She’s had adult onset acne since her mid-40′s, and I think this would be just the thing!

  559. christina says:

I nominate my mom. She used to have the most beautiful, silkiest skin when she was young but now it’s aged and doesn’t look so great anymore. She never splurges on herself, so this would be perfect for her!

  560. MG says:

i nominate my sister b/c she had to move up north w/ me and hates that we live in the middle of nowhere…and doesn’t really have friends here either….and our parents moved out of the country too so we don’t really have any family except each other….so yeah this would totally make our year (and the next year to come!) :D

  561. Dria says:

I nominate my best friend, Stephanie. We call each other “Soul Mate”, so it’s no surprise that my skin is dry and sensitive, while her’s is extremely oily :) We are ALWAYS looking for a skin savior…especially since we’ve realized we are much closer to 30, than 20!

  562. I nominate my hubby b/c the metro in him would totally dig this.

  563. Emi says:

I nominate my mother-in-law. She has done so much to make me feel welcome to the family, and has taught me so much! She’s also the type of person who puts everyone else first, and I’d like to be able to give her something that will be the first step in taking some time to pamper herself.

  564. Sarah says:

I nominate my twin sister MaryKate, because she is almost as beauty-product obsessed as I am!

  565. Kyle says:

I nominate my wife. She has been suffering from atopic dermatitis skin. Her skin looks crystal to me, but I know she is gonna delightful with a real crystal skin. I just wanna see her happy Christmas smile.

Furthermore, she’s currently in her first year of law school and the stress is taking a toll not only on her, but on her skin. I want to give her a gift because I want her to be happy – and I also want to give her the strength to make it through school. With the aid of the Clarisonic, she will not only be the wonderfully talented lawyer I know she has the potential to be – she’ll also be the most beautiful girl in the court room. :)

  572. I nominate my baby sis Shirayla b/c she’s scrub her face with a wash rag and bar of soap long enough!

  583. Christina Peebles says:

I nominate my cousin Erline. Just over 2 years ago she moved back to Singapore and it just hasn’t been the same without her. I have always wanted the Clarisonic to help with my rosacea but its not available here in Australia and would love to have the opportunity to share this special christmas gift with my beautiful cousin!

  584. Tori says:

I nominate my mom. She has been through so much her entire life and from raising me and my sister by herself to just losing her job, I really think she needs a little something to make her feel better out of all of this.

  585. Kim says:

Like so many others I nominate my mom because:
    1. She’s the number 1 woman in my life
    2. She spends a pretty fortune on her skin and this seems both perfect and from the fab reviews seems to be great
    3. She is the worst person to buy gifts for… seriously, but she would love this.. and I would get one too.. YAY!

  586. Andree says:

I nominate my mother since we have been through a lot this year and I wish I could do something or get something extra special t year for her to make life a litte better.

  587. Rae says:

My goodness, Karen! That’s one heck of a giveaway O.o

I nominate my sister, because she’s been going through hell recently and would probably love a Clarisonic. (Girl is head over HEELS for her vibrating toothbrush!! And, I mean, this is basically just a big ‘ol toothbrush for your face :P)
.-= Rae’s last blog post… FOTD — my take on the CdP promo for Le Naturel Absolu =-.

I nominate my mom because let’s face it, there’s no one else who deserves it as much as she does! :]

I nominate my mom. After my parents got divorced, she has kept our family together and is a full time engineer and mom. I owe everything I have ever achieved to her, and hope that I can make her feel special during the holidays :)

  590. Solé says:

I nominate my older sister, Loreto. She has always been beautiful, but has had major problem skin since the age of twelve. She is working really hard right now to get her natural perfume business off the ground and can’t afford to spend as much as she would like to on skincare – or as much as she could if she were working at a desk job. I’m going to save all my pennies to buy one of these things because my skin is in crisis mode right now – provided that I don’t win, of course. :D

  591. Tran says:

I nominate my best girlfriend Annie cause she would never get herself something like this and this would be an awesome Christmas present!

  592. jen says:

I nominate my friend Mei who is married and lives out of state. She bought a last minute train ride to come home to Calif (right before Thanksgiving) to comfort her family upon hearing some bad news. She spent 16hrs on that train ride and cleaned her family’s entire house upon arrival! Mei’s presence lightened the somber mood in her family & brought them holiday cheer. I would love to cheer her up with the Clarisonic brush because she so deserves it. I know she would be ecstatic as she’s someone who’s always been very attentive to her skin.

  593. Sarah V says:

I’ll nominate my mom since I think it would make a nice Christmas present and it’s not something either of us can really afford!

  594. Kristin says:

I nominate my mom. She does so much for those around her and the family.

  595. nikki says:

I nominate my sister, Amy. She is a busy military wife with 4 kids and 1 on the way! She definitly would not treat herself to something like this!

  596. Joanna says:

I nominate my mom. She is the best mom in the whole world. She needs this just as much as I do, since we share the same genes :) We both have really bad acne and scarring…but she has more dry patches than me. If I had the money, I would personally buy her this because I think she deserves it more than anyone else in my world. She helps everyone she knows, volunteers to every place she can, she is just absolutely amazing!

  597. Tayma says:

I nominate my mom, she’s the best person I know and she’s been through a lot this year. She’s dedicated her whole life for me and my brother and has never asked for anything in return except our affection and love. This year will be the first Christmas that we cant celebrate so this would be a wonderful gift for her. She’s also had a lot of problems with her skin due to stress and she often gets depressed because of discoloration and dry spots so this would be such a pick me up for her. =] She’s the most beautiful woman in this world in my eyes.

  598. Elaine R says:

I nominate my daughter who has had ongoing troubles with cystic acne-I think this brush would be very helpful to her.

  599. Kathleen says:

i nominate my close friend and also cousin Tiffany. My cousin has worked very hard throughout her life and just recently got into Med School at the ripe age of 21. She works so hard and has little time to pamper herself (with med school, she has little time to even look up). I know nice skin is a priority to her and i know she would love this gift cause it would give her a minute to pamper herself each day. GO TIFF!

  600. Camille says:

I nominate my boss, Pam, who is absolutely incredible and going through a tough time right now. I couldn’t imagine working for a better person and she doesn’t deserve any of the yuckiness that is happening. I want to do something nice for her and this would be perfect!!!

  601. Christina says:

I nominate my best friend Khanh. He’s been struggling with acne and hopefully this would really help him and boost his confident up.

  602. Nineska says:

I nominate my daughter who’s gone through more than her share of obstacles in the past year. She’s a wonderful daughter who’s put her life on hold to help me out. She’s beautiful and often feels less than beautiful because of acne scars and large pores. This would be amazing for her and such a blessing.

  603. Melissa says:

i nominate my mom, because she rarely buys any luxuries for herself and i think this would be a nice treat for her! :)

  604. tabby says:

I nominate my daughter. You’re never too young to start taking care of your skin.

  605. Apple says:

I nominate my sister. She stays home to take care of my nephews and I admire her for that because she chose her family over her career – that’s brave! I also want to make her happy this Christmas. :)

  606. Laura says:

I would like to nominate my mom for all that she does for me. My life is truly better with her in it!

  607. Genta says:

I would like to nominate my older sister Edrina. She has sacrificed alot for the past four years to help our family. Because of all the stress, she has started to break out. I think this would be perfect to thank her and make her feel special at the end of the day.

  608. Amparo says:

    I nominate my friend Holly.

  609. Shealyn says:

I nominate my friend Alysha. We became best friends in grade 9 and remained inseperable until 12th grade. After a a few years of drug abuse, and a few abusive older boyfriends, she has ditched her bad habits and moved back in with her parents. She just finished her grade 12 equivalent in October 2009 (the rest of us graduated in June 2007), has a stable job and is healthy again. She has always had troublesome acne and her drug abuse and stress of abusive boyfriends past have added to her skin issues. It would mean the world to her to have clearer skin, and quite the treat as she would never splurge for something like this herself.

  610. Konnie says:

I would like to nominate my mother. She’s the one that taught me about skincare, the one that bought me my first moisturizer and the one that explained to me how important using sunscreen is! At 56 she still looks amazing but a recent period of stress she went through took its toll on her skin…I think this would restore her glow (even though she still glows!) and perhaps make her a little bit happier :)

  611. Tay says:

Id like to nominate my best friend Robin, weve been friends since we were 13 and shes always been there for me in more ways than one. She’s pregnant at the moment and will be a single mother, She would really love this. Her face is all sorts of broken out from the pregnancy and this would be the perfect Christmas present.

  612. Jackie says:

My mom! She deserves to have a luxury. (To her, anyway.)

  613. Shi says:

I nominate my mom! She cares a lot about her skin but rather spend the money on the family than buy anything luxurious. I hope to spoil her~

  614. Rachel says:

I nominate my friend C because when I told her I wanted the Clarisonic for Christmas she said it was a waste of money. I’ve heard all the great stories from fellow beauty bloggers and would love to give this a try. I want us to win so that she can see the miracle work the Clarisonic does.

  615. Desiree says:

I would nominate my mother because she would never buy herself something like this to treat herself.

  616. Priscilla Chu says:

I nominate my mom. She has been working hard and has not been taking care of her skin recently.
All she does is to take care of her family! While i spend money on makeup (beginning makeup junkie) she spends money on what we want.

I want to give her something special (:

  617. DiAni says:

My mom! She has never bought herself a treat in her life. She deserves this!

  618. Wendy says:

I nominate my mother because this year we got the news that my dad was suffering from cancer and even though they are divorced my mom is helping him with his recovery anything from cooking for him or just sitting with him watching tv and I feel like she needs the extra pampering for being a good, caring person.

  619. Adelle says:

I nominate my wonderful & supportive sister Kimberly ( who is also a skincare fanatic :))

  620. Step says:

I nominate my mom because she never takes the time to pamper herself! She prioritizes things like work, family, the house, and forgets to include herself. So I think she’d like a luxury like this that she could use at home.

  621. kobri says:

I nominate my friend Kelly. When all my best friends moved to other countries she took me under her wing and brought me into her group, she is always helping out other people out and thinking of others and I would love to do something really special for her in return.

  622. Cecilia Wong says:

I nominate my mother because yesterday was her birthday and she still looks like she’s 30.
It would be great to give her a clarisonic brush to brighten up her day.
    Thanks.

  623. Molly says:

I nominate my kid sister sister, Lora. We live 3000 miles apart (me in Vancouver and her back at home in Boston) but I still hear from her at least once a week, often more than is really necessary, and I am WAY more aware of how her Senior year in the hell that is high school is going than both our mom and her best friends. We give each other tons of crap, because that is why sisters were created, but through hell and high water, we’re the first person on the other’s side, and this kid… Wow. No one deserves more pampering than the girl I refuse to believe is growing up. She kicks ass.

  624. Della says:

I nominate my sister, Hannah! She’s an extremely sweet girl and really goes out on a limb to help others. Plus, I know she’d LOVE that clarisonic since she’s always talking about keeping her skin clean!

  625. JessicaF says:

I nominate my best friend Kelly. I went through a really tough time with my divorce last year and she was a true champion – stood by me through thick and thin. She put up with me when I was at my absolute worst and I’ll always be grateful for that. More recently she’s been driving over my place every morning at 6 am to drag me out of bed to go exercise – I should nominate her for that alone!

  626. Megan says:

Karen – I have never wanted to win one of your giveaways more than this one!

I nominate my sister. She has had a very rough year. She turned 35 this year and is the mother of two boys – an 8 year old and a 3 year old – who keep her very busy. She’s currently going through a divorce and just had a hysterectomy on 12/2 which is hopefully the end to recent medical problems she’s been experiencing. With the divorce and medical bills coming, she is being very frugal this year for the holidays and of course all her focus is on her boys. It’s hard for me to see her struggle with so many difficulties, especially because I’m not nearby to help her out. I know lately she’s felt like her skin has changed and looks older, so i definitely think she would appreciate the clarisonic and the pampering.

  627. Claudia says:

I would like to nominate my sister. She’s strongly surviving a painful divorce and would not consider such a nice treat for herself at this time of her life. She is a great mother of 3 wonderful children and the most amazing best friend anyone could ever ask for. I wish I become 10% of a woman she is!

  628. Erica says:

I nominate my best friend, Lisa. She leads a very stressful life and has an takes on an extremely heavy workload. Lisa never has time to take care of herself or her skin because she has so much going on and I hope that with this brush, she will realize that taking care of herself is more important than some of the other things she has going on.

  629. Eleanor says:

I nominate my mom…she is the most giving and selfless person that I know.

  630. barb says:

I nominate my friend Barb who listens as I obsess about my skin!

  631. jess says:

I would like to nominate my friend, Laura, who has been like a sister to me for 7 years, since i left my family 1500 miles away! Now that I had to move 500 more miles from her, I appreciate how close we are.

  632. KT says:

I’d be lying if I said anyone but my mom. She doesn’t pamper herself enough and I think this is a great and easy way for her to show herself a little TLC, even if she doesn’t get the point at first. ;)

  633. Nancy says:

A friend of mine teaches in the same building as me…she’s a great friend, a wonderful mom, and fantastic wife. She is currently due to have her 3rd child in a few weeks. She’s been pregnant for the past three years! If anyone deserves this, it’s her! She has 2 beautiful boys, and she’s expecting a girl this time!

  634. Kate says:

I nominate my mom because she would give everything she has just so I don’t have to want for anything. She nevers buys anything for herself and I know she deserves this!

  635. J says:

I nominate my friend Hayley, who I’ve got addicted to makeup in the past few months XD we’re both terrible enablers of each other!

  636. Becky says:

I nominate my aunt because her husband is utter crap, she doesn’t make too much money and has to support 2 kids. Mostly because she’s the sweetest and smartest woman I know, and should be able to do much better! Also, while she accompanies me on every shopping trip i take when in Asia, she just gives me a little sigh when she sees all the makeup i’m checking out! :)

  637. birdy says:

i nominate my mom. i know she would love this to bits. she needs the pampering this toy gadget would give her

  638. Marissa says:

I nominate my sister-in-law. She recently moved out of town, away from all of her family and had her first beautiful baby boy. We’re estatic for her and her husband, but sometimes the lonliness really takes its toll. Also, she’s a mother now, first and foremost, and she doesn’t make time for herself like she used to. I think this would be the perfect way for her to pamper herself like she deserves!

  639. Audrey says:

I nominate my mom, who singlehandedly holds my family together every day with her selfless hard work and her amazing spirit. A little pampering this Christmas would really make her happy!

  640. ali says:

I nominate one of my best friends, Vinna. She’s received a flow of bad news recently, leading her to have no other choice but to quit her job in order to have more time to focus on her personal life & school. I won’t say she deserves or needs this, because one, there’s a lot more deserving people out there & two, her skin’s pretty good in my opinion, but, it would be nice to give her a little something to convince her that life ain’t all that bad.

  641. Katie says:

I nominate my older cousin. She was born six weeks premature with cerebral palsy, and has spent most of her life surpassing everyone’s expectations. Her doctors didn’t expect her to walk at all, but she managed to do that by five. She has undergone several surgeries and has gone into and come out of them with a fabulously positive attitude. Not only would this be a wonderful Christmas gift but its an awesome way to celebrate her finish of graduate school and her job with one of the most prestigious special needs schools in New York. She was able to overcome a huge challenge in her life with absolute success, and I am so excited for her!

  642. Kelly says:

I nominate my mom, who works so hard everyday to raise money for our family. I hope she wins because this gift would definitely cheer her up and give her a good holiday surprise!

  643. Ivana says:

I’d like to nominate my mother Josephine.

I’m her first child off to college, the oldest of four. She works day and night to pay for my school, the house, car, and kids, plus the dog. At the same time, I’ve noticed that she tries just about every single product ever created to help her dark circles, lines, and countless lotions and creams to firm her skin, sticking to routines every day to maintain her face. It seems like the only self-pleasing thing she ever does for herself.

Since leaving, she has been working by herself to take care of my younger siblings and my dog, Piper, that I was so adamant on keeping after I left. I think that a great way to give back and to show my appreciation for all that she’s done.

Thank you, Clarisonic and MBB for doing this!

  644. Samantha says:

I nominate my mom. She’s been stressing lately, and I’ve probably contributed to it. She deserves something nice.

  645. Crystal says:

I nominate my Mom because she’s simply a wonderful person and deserves it.

BTW, I am now addicted to your Web site. I have no idea how I have not came across it before this week! OMG! I’m in love!!!

  646. Melody Lai says:

I think my sister deserves this because she took care of me when my mom had depression and our father left us. She was only in high school and had so much on her plate. and now that she’s in college, she still checks to make sure i’m okay even though she’s 6 hours away.

  647. Anastasia says:

I’d nominate my best friend Robert – he’s had a really tough year and has really been there for me even when other friends have let me down. We’ve known each other for nearly 20 years!

Thanks for offering this Karen… what a great prize!

    Anastasia.

  648. brittany says:

I nominate Jess…my best friend and lover of all things beauty! She’s so good to me and deserves it!

My mom – she totes deserves every beauty product on earth for being so A++
.-= Sarah’s last blog post… Holiday Gift Guide: Fetty Jewelry For Your Rock & Roll Goddess =-.

  650. Sierra says:

I nominate my twin sis and BFF Kaylee. She’s always supportive of me and although we fight, we’re just like an old married couple. I don’t know what I’d do without her in my life. Love you Kiki!

  651. AO says:

I would nominate my friend and co worker Lorraine. She is really into great skincare and i feel this would really make her very happy. :-)

  652. SarahDS says:

I would love this! Lots of other ladies have nominated their mom, and I would like to do the same! She’s basically the coolest person I know.

  653. Meghan says:

I nominate my best friend Gina. She is a great friend and deserves this great gift. Plus I think she would really like this. :)

  654. Javi says:

I nominate my mom. She’s been great my whole life and needs a little bit of pampering. She deserves it!

  655. Nadia says:

I nominate my best friend Hugo. He just got nack from his third tour in Iraq and in a few short months will be going to Afghanistan. He’s been the most amazing friend to me the past ten years.

  656. Betsy says:

I nominate my Momma! She’s the one who taught me about the importance of skincare (hello Clinique 3-step) and she would love to have a Clarisonic.

  657. Alexandra says:

I would like to nominate my mom. She has had a crazy year with health/work issues but still has found the strength to support me and my sisters through our own stuff. She has always been there for us no matter what and it would be wonderful to give her something that would let her pamper/take care of herself for a change. Thank you! :D

  658. DeLydia says:

I’d like to nominate my sister. After going to an aesthetician to correct her skin with microdermabrasion, her skin is worse now. She would use it well.:-)

  659. Stephanie says:

I nominate my friend Bhriza because she is a wonderful mom who deserves a little pampering – especially during such tough economic times.

  660. Tutu says:

my bf! bc we have spa days together :)

  661. Ann says:

I nominate my sister, Rose. She takes medication for her acne-prone skin, but I worry about the long term effects of this treatment. I hope the Clarisonic can be a safer alternative to beautiful skin. She is beautiful and I wish she does not have to be so self-conscious about her skin!

  662. Kristina says:

I nominate my mother! She [and I] has had quite the rough year, and she deserves it.

  663. noemi says:

I absolutely nominate my mom. there is no reason to explain what all has happened . just like everyone else in the world, stuff happens in their lives . A series of unfortunate events occurred this year, but she has remained the rock in my life and everyone around her even while things are getting worse and worse . This is something i will never be able to afford in the near future [if ever]. She deserves SO much more than this but this would be a great start !! I want her to believe and know that she is the most beautiful person and woman inside AND out for me and all who love her, forever .

  664. Melissa says:

I would love to nominate my mom. She is extremely hardworking and has no time to herself anymore. She has been an inspiration and the one person I look up to. This has been a terrible, rough year for her and my family. I know with this won’t just take care of her clogged pores-but I know it will also give her a spa pick-me-up! And she is someone who truly deserves and need it.

  665. Ellie says:

I nominate my best friend, Melissa! She’s just finishing her first year as a PhD student and she’s doing amazing! She’d really appreciate this to help with the aftermath of stressful finals.

  666. Jess says:

I nominate my mother simply because I want her to look gorgeous despite her old age, I wan her to look like my sister rather than my mother ! Hmpphhh….
.-= Jess’s last blog post… Discover the Power of Piteraâ„¢ this Christmas =-.

  667. Taylor Hurwitz says:

My friend Nivi! I want her to have something she would love for christmas.

  668. ashufta says:

Hey i want to leave a post for the The Clarasonic Plus:

I would like to nominate my mom, she is a divorcee and has worked really hard all through out her life and now when she has got the time to relax she feels she is lost on time so i want this beautiful gift for her…just to say its still not late …:) thnks.

  669. Elle says:

I’m nominating my best friend Amy, whom I wish I got to see every day, but can’t since she lives in Canada. She’s amazingly kind and helped her mom when she was diagnosed with colon cancer last year…luckily everything’s all better thanks to Amy’s endless cooking, cleaning, and attention and love. She really deserves this!

  670. Denise says:

My daughter!! She is a teenager whose skin is going through so many hormonal changes and she has seen The Clarisonic and has wanted to try it. I can just see her now text-messaging with one hand while holding her Clarisonic with the other:)

  671. Julia says:

Above anyone else, I nominate my mother. She has had her share of challenges this past year, including a major surgery, and she just turned 51 recently, and I know she is feeling a little blue about aging. I think receiving a clarisonic would be the perfect Christmas present for her, and would definitely boost her self-esteem.

  672. Mae says:

I nominate my boyfriend, who loves gadgets AND believes in taking good care of yourself! In fact, he is the one who got me into using a Sonicare toothbrush (which I believe was also invented by the person behind the Clarisonic)!

And if he resists the lure of the Clarisonic, I’d nominate my little sis Tina. She doesn’t like to wear products on her face, so this might be a fun way for her to give her skin a boost without having to worry about applying makeup every day!

  673. ashufta says:

Hey i want to leave a post for the The Clarasonic Plus:

I would like to nominate my mom, she is a divorcee and has worked really hard all through out her life and now when she has got the time to relax she feels she is lost on time so i want this beautiful gift for her…just to say its still not late and she can still live her life ( she was a beauty freak but with us and responsibilities nver got the time…:) thnks.

  674. Noraa says:

I nominate my mom. She’s in her 50 and has great skin, but a little pampering goes a long way. Whenever we disagree on anything, she looks at the stuff I got for her and is reminded of how much I care for her (we live very far apart).

  675. Angela says:

I nominate my BFF Nicole. Even though we live far apart, we enable each others’ beauty addictions and we chat about your blog over Google Reader.

  676. Esther says:

I nominate my friend Mercedes, who taught me how to put some make up on

  677. Tara says:

First of all Karen, i’d like to thank you for being so generous offering these fun & awesome give-aways, and trying your best to help your international blog-readers – like me to qualify to enter this time :)

I nominate my really good friend, Rachaell. She has been with me through thick and thin, and all crazy extremes… always being there for me. We’re both only 16 this year and starting to discover the amazing world of make-up and skin-care. Recently too, she has been experiencing some break-out and excessive oiliness on her skin, adversely affecting her self-esteem… and she can’t really afford the top-of-the-line skin-care products either. I thought that this’d be perfect for her/both of us, cuz it’d give us a chance to try out one of the most hyped-up products, hopefully banishing our skin problems, and i know we’d love it! :)

    Love,

    Tara

  678. Tiffany says:

I nominate my aunt Nancy because shes had the disease Lupus all her life and was never expected to be able to have kids. Nearly 5 years ago, determined to have children, she went through a cleansing period learning as much asshe could about her disease, curing her own self and able to go off the meds that made her unable to have children.

Today, shes living happy while teaching me a lot about life and even makeup! Along with raising her beautiful son (my cousin soon turning 3 dec. 22) Truman!

Shes the true image of beauty~

  679. Aniroc says:

It’d have to be my bff Helen. We’ve been through everything together, thick and thin (life & body size), beauty greats and regrets. Here’s hoping its you and I Helen!

  680. Elisia says:

I nominate my sister, because she’s off at military school & she needs a little bit of pampering! :) Miss you!!

  681. Daniele says:

I nominate my sister Erica. She’s generally not as into skin cleansers and skin care as I am, but I’m pretty sure the Clarisonic could change her mind. ;)

  682. Heather says:

I would like to nominate my mother, Andrea. For the past two years she has been battling breast cancer with such strength and grace. Her hair is finally starting to grow back after all falling out. Her skin texture has changed from all the chemicals and treatments. She is suddenly dealing with the crazy, frizzy, curly hair that she has no idea how to style. I think if she could manage her skin, the fact that her hair is not cooperating wouldn’t be so important. I have heard these work wonders! My mom has shown me that just because like hands you these curveballs, you can still live everyday to the fullest and enjoy the ones your with. Since she retired during this whole mess, she is now devoting her time to others in the same situation feel better about themselves. She devotes countless hours to calling people she doesn’t even know just to cheer them up and let them know someone cares. I think my mom, my inspiration, would love this gift.

  683. Samiha Shakil says:

i nominate fardina, she threw me a suprise bday party!

  684. Didi says:

Hi Karen – I’ve got one already but I’d like to nominate my mom and my friend Dianne.

My mom never puts herself first in my family and she deserves something nice for herself.

My friend Dianne because she is a a bride-to-be!

  685. bunnybuns says:

nominate my mommy as a child i rarely saw her as she was holding down jobs. she went through a lot these past two years. losing jobs and her father with many relatives being hospitalized. my mom never spends much money on her self this would be awesome for her considering she has skin problems that she cannot fix. i dont have a job right now and i wish i could splurge on her

  686. PDX_Mama says:

I nominate my sister. This year especially, she deserves some major pampering!

  687. Grace says:

I would like to nominate my roommate TIffany. Me and her were complete and utter stangers until she moved into one of my empty rooms in September. In just that short amount of time we have become great friend. She is always there for me and our other roomamate. She really brought us all closer toegther. Tiffany is also who I attribute to getting me into makeup and MAC in particular.

  688. Camila says:

I nominate my husband! His skin gets really irritate after shaving and he also has acne scaring, I heard that Clarisonic works wonders for that.

  689. adrian says:

wow-very generous giveaway!! I nominate my mom b/c then we could try them together.

  690. Tiffany says:

I nominate my best friend Lauren, because her and I are pretty much twins. We always go through the same things together; stress with school, lectures from our parents, boy problems. I swear she’s my soulmate :)

  691. Francisca says:

I’m nominating my friend Jenn — she’s an awesome confidante and friend. She also gives awesome make-up tips :)

  692. Jenny says:

i nominate my bff patty. she’s been there for me through thick and thin. i have no sob stories of why she would deserve one, but i think she deserves everything in the world for being the most fab person i have ever met in my life! i seriously have no idea what i would do without her. but seriously, heck yea she deserves something cool like this. 8)

  693. Erika says:

I nominate my best friend, Shin, for physically and emotionally supporting me. I think everyone had their hard year with economy going down the drain and all the nature problems (global warming, ice bergs melting, 2012 end of the world stuff n’ stuff). I know some of us care about going eco on everything and some doesn’t as much but…at least I’m sure the bad economy things are hitting everyone hard. I am one of the people who had really unfortunate year which I don’t really do not want to mention here. Shin was always there for me! Although we are 600 miles apart in California, he came to cheer me up and told me that it is not the end of the world. He game me hopes and made me realize that I am supported by many people. Do you believe in real friendship of opposite sex? I was doubting that question for the longest time but I really do believe in it now. I have a fiance and he knew that, and still came to help me. I am honored to be his friend.

  694. Betty says:

I nominate my sister Hengel! I am so impressed by her. Two bachelors, two master, and she is already applying for PHD programs… and in between all of this she finds time to look so put together and cute everyday. I always go to her to skin care, makeup, and fashion tips!.

  695. Valerie says:

    Hello!
I would like to nominate my friend, Siobhan. She just recently told me about what she needs to take for her skin to be calm: antibiotics, birth control, expensive creams, ect. She has driven her parents crazy with how much stuff they need to buy for her skin. Since I have been hearing so many good things from people who use the Clarisonic Brush, I would like to give this to her as a surprise Christmas gift. I hope it will help her!

    –Valerie

  696. Isk says:

I nominate my best friend Shannah – she and her family have had quite a year: Her 4 year old daughter was diagnosed 3 years ago with a very rare form of cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Doctors said she’d never make it past age 4 – she turned 7 this past Saturday! This year she had an experimental treatment done in New York and she’s doing GREAT!!!!! Shannah is such an inspiration to me – she’s shown strength she never knew she had, and i truly admire her tenacity and fight to keep her daughter alive! When everyone around her said NO, she found a way to make them say YES! It’s time SHE gets some pampering!!

  697. Sandy Y says:

I nominate my mom. She turned 65 last month and starting to worry about looking “old”. I think she looks wonderful, but a Clarisonic might help her believe it too!

  698. Komal says:

    Hi Karen!

I’d like to nominate my older sister. She has had an incredibly trying few years and unfortunately her self esteem has taken a hit. Anything that would make her feel more beautiful is worth trying out for! I would love for her to look in the mirror and see what I see in her every day :)

In any case, thanks for the opportunity!

  699. Anna says:

I would like to nominate my aunt, Amy. I think her skin would benefit greatly from the Clarisonic but she would never spend so much on a beauty product for herself!

  700. nini says:

my mami because she is the one who taught me to take care of my skin.

  701. Amanbir says:

I nominate my sister. She does so much for me! I just want to show her I appreciate her efforts for all that she does. I think she deserves something special which i can’t really afford to give right now so I hope to win it for her. :)

  702. Melody says:

I nominate my mom, JoAnn. She survived a heart attack 3 years ago and was there for me when I had a heart attack in April of this year. She has always been the most giving person I know. She runs the after school program at an elementary school and loves to do what she can to help the kids she works with.

  703. Lisa says:

    Hi!

I’d like to nominate my friend Sarah. She just moved to the other side of the country for a job, and is feeling rather lonely. I’d like to do something to cheer her up and remind her that her friends are still there for her, even this far away!

    Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  704. Katherine says:

I would like to nominate my sister because since our dad left us and our mother is in no shape to take care of us, we have been living with my aunt, but it has been hard on my younger sister. Especially now, as she is growing older, old enough to take care of herself, she is having a hard time with going to college. We are the first generation to go to college and I want her to know that she can do it. I hope that this Clarisonic will help her through her tough college days and give her an easier time with school.

    thanks!
