I’m taking a page out of my feline employer’s book today and rocking the stripes, because if there’s a time to work the horizontal stripes with gusto, it’s when you’re 38 weeks pregnant and massive, LOL!
This is one of the nursing/maternity dresses I recently ordered on sale from ASOS.
Remember how I wasn’t sure about the sizing of their stuff because I’d heard “some things”? Well, I went up a size with this one, and — glory be! — it fits.
It’s actually a little loose in the arms and shoulders, but that’s OK with me for now.
The jersey feels nice and soft, and I like the pattern and cut, but I have to say…this is probably not one of those dresses that’s going to last forever. After washing and air drying it just twice, I noticed a tiny hole in the skirt (BOOO!) while ironing it this morning.
Now I’m thinking it was really fortuitous that I got it on sale for $24 instead of the regular $60 full price.
Cute stuff at ASOS, but it kind of reminds me of H&M. I like their style, but the clothes aren’t made to last more than one or two seasons.
Big shout-out to ASOS for their two-way free shipping, though (both to you, and also on returns). That’s awesome. And extra snaps for how quickly they restock sizes that are listed as sold out on the website (I’ve noticed it a couple times). If you find something you like, but it’s listed as “not available,” watch the site like a hawk for a few days.
