We have these in the local pet store too! We always look at the little turtles, birds, hamsters, and bunnies. However, with the two cold-blooded natural killers in the house, it’s definitely a no-go 😉
I’m not a fan of birds as pets .. I like furry creatures like dogs, but when I’m at the pet store .. I always look at the birds and I just love blue parakeets.
Awww they’re so cute! I used to have an African Grey parrot and we named him Bob because he would bob his head all the time. I know, such a thoughtful original name:)My daughter was three and she left the door open when she ran outside and Bob flew away! I still wonder about him and hope he made it somehwere safely. I wish I would’ve kept his wings clipped because we would let him fly freely around the house.
I’m not very creative when it comes to names, either (Tabs = tabby cat). I’m sure Bob is doing okay, and that he thinks of you from time to time. Pets have long memories. 🙂
I hope so. I would like to get another parrot, but I have a greyhound, a golden retriever, and a big baby boy cat named Macho that rules over them both!
Hey! These are Budgerigars! They’re native here in Australia. So cute! If you head out bush then you can see huge flocks of them in old river gums. Pretty crazy to see them as pets in the US 🙂

Hi Karen,
Oh, how cool! I’d love to have a bird, but Tabs is a solo act. I hope you get one this summer. If you do, send me a pic.
