Hey, chicas! I stopped by Rite Aid to grab a snack before dance class. *Somehow* I ended up in the makeup section, LOL. Check out this sweet sale on my favorite drugstore gloss, Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Treatment. Regularly $4.95, it’s currently buy one, get the second one half off.
It’s a highly moisturizing, super shiny gloss and comes in 17 different shades. I keep Antique Bronze (a tan-bronze shimmer) in my stash at home for easy nude lips. Yep, the rhinestone on the case is a bit cheesy, but I pretend that I can see the future if I gaze into it.
How was your day today? I’m glad we’re over the hump!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Awe, thanks Karen. My town doesn’t have Rite Aid and Sally Hansen is on sale only at Walgreen’s
It’s quite an upsetting day for me, looks like I have to move again and I hate moving!

Thanks for making me giggle.
Unfortunately, I’m not allowed to buy any more makeup until I get a new job. (Just passed my nursing boards, yay!)

This is sort of random. My BFF, who hardly ever wears makeup, and I were just discussing this gloss today. She had some in her purse and I saw it so I randomly started freaking out, haha. She was complaining that it was too sticky and glossy. How a lip gloss can be too glossy, I do not know
I thought it looked nice, ah well.

I remember buying this gloss once @ target just to try it out and the shade was nice… a sheer light pink with shimmer. I remember I liked it, but I haven’t used it since. I think it was cause everytime I went to Wal-mart or Target, they rarely had any of the colors I wanted and forgot about it. I think I’ll be visiting my nearby Rite Aid! Thanks!!

Hi Mariah,
Wow! Great minds think alike. What color did you get?

Hi Joanne,
You’re welcome! They had a ton of really pretty shades … I was tempted by the all the pinks, including a very bright coral with shimmer. I had to hustle to class but I might head back there tomorrow after work to grab an ice cream and a few tubes.

Hi again!
I can’t sleep because I’ve got a makeup dilemma. I forgot to mention that I did a minor credit damage (I’m broke!)… I was only suppose to stop by one store (the body shop) @ the mall, but on the way there was a MAC store. (Ahh!) I couldn’t help, but just take a peek. All of a sudden, one of their extra friendly employees tells me about the new line and new lip laquers. They were all so pretty! The guy just kept on asking me if I needed any help and I started to ask for suggestions. I told him I’d think about buying one of the eye shadows, but he insisted that I shouldn’t wait too long because the shadows were limited and have been selling like hotcakes!? So he said, “would you like me to grab some for you?” And my guilty self couldn’t help but surrender and purchased the grand entrance shadow. I always feel guilty leaving a MAC counter *sigh*.
Anyways, I was wondering if you could help me. I bought some nice palettes awhile ago (november maybe?) in deep truth, contrast, and sushi flower. They looked so pretty, but I have never used them, except for experimenting. I never know what to pair them with. Of course, I’m not pairing them with each other, but these colors are somewhat intimidating considering that I always use natural shades and purple hues. Any suggestions??? Sorry for the long post!

You know what i have a ton of the Sally Hansen stuff…I won a giveaway that was on one of the blogs on the network… http://beautyinreallife.blogspot.com/2008/06/beauty-in-real-lifes-lippie.html ANYWAY it came while I was on vacation at the end of June and it’s been kinda a roller coaster ride since then…so I think I’ve only used 2 or 3 of them thus far… I don’t think I need anymore Sally Hansen lip stuff… in fact i probably should donate some of this to somebody. LOL… just one more thing to move.

i bought those at cvs when they were 50% off, i got two, and the color was nice and it was glossy but it caused a burning feeling on my lips! That was not cool! I wasn’t used to the feeling of the “plumping” I guess…either way mine is just sitting in the drawer now
