Prescriptives Guava Gloss: A New Way to Go Green

Who knew green lipgloss could be so wearable?

Kermit Bale may have known, but I sure didn’t. With Prescriptives Exhilarating Lip Gloss in Guava ($14.50), it actually IS easy being green.

It’s not easy being green… Or is it?

Guava gloss is limited edition and part of the Exhilaration collection, Prescriptives’ latest tropic-themed collection for cheeks, lips and eyes.

It looks almost transparent on my lips, adding just the faintest touch of shiny, greenish gold.

The gloss itself feels slightly thick on my lips, yet it’s not sticky at all. I don’t mind the subtle fruity flavor, either. It seems appropriate for the product, all things considered.

If you dig super sheer lip colors, you might give Guava a try.

I almost forgot to mention how it looks layered above coral lipsticks like Exhilarating Lipcolor in Papaya ($17.50), another LE item from the summer collection.

I would wear any of these lips with a green or gold eye look and coral cheeks.

Of course, to complete a summery makeup look, you really should have a cute summer dress to go along with it, right? I like these two from Old Navy.

Teleport me to Turkey

Last night I was reading the April issue of Conde Nast Traveller, British Edition and found this really cool Turkish swimming pool with an underwater sound system.

The pool is at the Hillside Su hotel, which looks awfully swanky doesn’t it? It’s in the city of Antalya on the Turkish Riviera.

I say we drop everything and book reservations, LOL!

    Hey Karen!
Guava seems to be a popular flavor, I think The Body Shop just brought out a new pink guava lip balm that I want to try. I adore the lip balms from The Body Shop, they are nicely flavored but don’t have any taste and give the slightest bit of color and make your lips look super juicy and delicious!! You should try them, oh and one of my favorites is the Cranberry shimmer balm!

The green looks gorgeous! I’ve been wanting Springbean lustreglass from Mac and this looks pretty good too! The green tones down the Papaya lipstick, so it works either way 🙂

The pool looks amazing! I love Conde Nast Traveller! Great way to dream!

Speaking of green, I was at a cosmetics company store at a outlet mall recently and found the MAC, Red she Said, “Tempting” e/s collection, which I was dying to get when it was released. I snatched it up at $22.50 and love it! That green color (“sharp” I think?) looks so awesome on my brown eyes. And I would have never thought to try it. Go Green! And I love Kermie.

Wow, that combination looks fabulous on you! I have to go take a look at Papaya, I’ve been looking for a coral-ish lipstick for summer lately. How do you like Prescriptive’s formula? My lips can be ridiculously dry, so I can only wear very moisturizing lip products.
