Clinique Lid Pop Long-Wearing Eyeshadow: Clinique’s Latest “Pop” Sensation

Hi everyone!

Clinique is back for spring with eyeshadows based on their uber-popular long-wearing, buildable Cheek Pop line.

Also known as “the prettiest eyeshadows ever!” the new Clinique Lid Pops ($17 each) come in eight satiny and shimmery shades, and here’s a look at four of them.

This powder gelee formula is downright PRETTY on the skin. Petal Pop and Cream Pop reflect nicely on the lids, and the matte color — Cocoa Pop — has a beautiful satin sheen.

Unfortunately, Surf Pop doesn’t fare so well in swatches or on the lids. Blue is an unforgiving color to start with, and this one needs better pigmentation to prevent patchy application.

I wonder what Clinique plans to release next into their “Pop” product line!

The Clinique Lid Pops

  • Vanilla Pop
  • Cream Pop
  • Petal Pop
  • Grape Pop
  • Surf Pop
  • Aqua Pop
  • Willow Pop (I really want to get this one!)
  • Cocoa Pop

The Clinique Lid Pops are new for spring 2016 and part of the permanent collection. You can find them anywhere Clinique is sold, including Macy’s, Nordstrom, and Sephora.

See you in the next!

I’m a sucker for eyeshadow 🙂 🙂 Shame about Surf Pop going on patchy, I was hoping it would be a good ethereal blue. A good blue is Bobbi Brown in Lapis – it’s kind of a lighter, shimmery denim blue. Goes with everything. Thanks for posting!

I own Willow Pop, and the color is lovely, but the pigment is pathetic. I have to really force it onto the brush to make any color show up on my lids. So disappointing!

Oh no! That’s the one I was interested in picking up (love olives). Darn :[ Looks like this formula fared the best for face products

That’s a shame about Surf Pop, because it’s such a good blue otherwise. (Speaking of blue, I love your nails!)

Bummer about Surf Pop. It’s the one that appealed to me the most. And it’s so pretty in the compact 🙁

The shade Willow Pop is so pretty. I am partial to any product with that name, but it’s gorgeous. Highly recommend getting it. 🙂

I love the Pop blushes, but these don’t look so great. They sure are pretty in the pan, though.

I love the Petal Pop and Cream Pop colors. Simple colors, but oh so pretty.

Cream pop was my fave of the bunch, I was just admiring it on Melissa’s Blog, Kiss&Makeup! Sorry for the shameless friend plug, but she did a great look with it.

I’m so sad about Surf Pop, because it’s the one I was most interested in! Brands do seem to have difficulty coming out with a high-performing intense or dark blue eyeshadow.

It’s kind of funny right? The elusive blue eyeshadow…
