The soft pastel pinks of the Lady Dior Collection ushered spring in with a dainty whisper — “Hello, lovah…”
Then, the rockin’ hot pinks of Lancome’s Pink Irreverence Collection took the spring spotlight.
But I guess Dior and Lacome weren’t the only ones to get the Pink Is In for Spring memo. Pink also plays a central role in the Sari and Blushed Pink collections from Givenchy and Bobbi Brown.
I think both collections look gaw-geous. If you were forced to pick between the two, which one would you get?
Givenchy Sari Collection: bold and bright
The Givenchy Sari Collection ($21-53) bursts with color, as vibrant pinks blend with juicy slices of orange.
The collection of blushes, glittering eyeshadows and lipsticks was inspired by bright Bollywood films, and it features bold eyes and lips oozing with rich color.

Bobbi Brown Blushed Pink: soft and sweet
In contrast to Givenchy Sari’s brights, the Bobbi Brown Blushed Collection ($20-24) takes a softer approach to pink.
Lips gently glow with nude pink gloss, cheeks flush with bright matte pink blush, and eyes glitter with pastel metallic shadow. The look is ethereal and romantic, and it reminds me of ballerinas, Jane Austin heroines and forbidden — but oh-so-true — lurve!

Are you ready for WHAT WOULD YOU GET?
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spend $200 in virtual moolah (or thereabouts) on any combination of products from either collection (no mixing and matching!), and then share your virtual haul in the comments.
What would you get? 🙂

Hm, I’d pick the Bobbi Brown set as I like softer approaches to something like pink on my face. I’m also fair so bright pink brings out all the pink in my face making me look like a strawberry!
My Virtual Haul:
Eyes:
1. Sunlight Eyeshadow——-$24
2. Silver Moon Eyeshadow—-$24
3. Black Everything Mascara-$22
4. New Mink Eyeshadow——-$20
5. New Birch Eyeshadow——$20
Total: $110
Face:
1. Pale Pink Blush———-$22
Total: $132
Lips:
1. Blush Pink Lip Color—–$20
2. Nude Pink Lip Gloss——$20
3. Baby Glitter Lip Gloss—$20
Total: $192
I’d use the sparkle eyeshadows as a primary color and the matte to smoke out the ends. It would be paired up like this–Silver Moon/New Mink; Sunlight/New Birch. Use Black Mascara. Use the Pale Pink Blush on the apples of my cheeks. With the Silver Moon combo, I’d use the Blush Pink Lip Color with the Nude Pink gloss and the Sunlight with Baby Glitter gloss.
Briana says
I would get
Sparkle Eyeshadow in Ballet and Sunlight
Jet Black Mascara
all 3 lip compacts
pale pink blush
but that only puts me at $150, so maybe I would splurge and get the other two sparkle eyeshadows too 🙂

ohhh good god my wallet is crying…
I would love to try the givenchy blush in Apricot and pink!!!
Givenchy was my first ever present from my mum at 13 (9ish years ago)
Back then they had long sliver lipglosses with mirrors in the lids..
She gave me two amazing eye pallets, 2 lipglosses and some random things. Then the brand dissappeared for a while!.. I never got back into it bar owning 2 lipsticks and having a disasterous purchasing spree on those ‘wet look’ gel mascaras in blue and green 2 years ago (remember those!? ICK!) … BUT NOW!! Bring on the Givenchy
Kelley says
I would totally get the Bobbi Brown since that is my latest line obsession but the Prismissime makes it a hard decision. The compacts may be on the pricey side but they have *so* many uses – swirled together or individually – I really like them. But I am a sucker for quads and I love the fact that the Bobbi Brown can be popped in and out and reassembled into her palettes of 3,4 and 6 in any combo I want. Either way, I am SO ready for spring. Especially with our snow and ice combo today!!
Elissa says
Well, I’ve already ordered some Bobbi Brown from QVC (once I found shadows on sale there, plus sometimes there’s the opion of three easy payments!), I have the Ballet Pink sparkle shadow paired with Charcoal shadow, and the Sunlight shadow paird with New Mink on their way to me. I also plan to go to Bloomies to get myself the Mica sparkle shadow as well as the Nude Pink gloss, baby! I wish there was a way for us to post our FOTDs with these hauls on this blog. That would be fab.
Melissa Street says
Bobbi was really smart to come out with this type of packaging too! Love that Nude Pink Gloss! And Elissa’s recommendation of the Ballet Pink Sparkle shadow paired with Charcoal – amazingly good idea! I will have to check out Sunlight with New Mink!
Elissa says
Oh my gosh, Melissa, I know . . . I love the packaging too! I NEVER EVER stopped at a BB counter until a few months ago (I was repelled by the word Mauve, and not interested in looking boring), but the packaging drew me into the product, and now I love the product too. I love the squares (I have a princess cut diamond ring, not a round stone – it’s a running theme for me), and I love that they snap in and out and that you can customize your own approach, and that there is no wasted space in the pallete itself – most of the space is taken up by product.
Glosslizard says
‘Cause you know that apricots and oranges make me look like an extra from Thriller! :O

Blush!! Maybe Peony. I love blush. I even tried “the bounce” technique this morning. It gave me nice subtle color. =) thanks for the tips!
Michelle says
Ooh I already have the sparkle eyeshadow in sunlight. Don’t laugh but I got it from QVC before it was even released on her website. I haven’t even used it yet.
