It sucks when you don’t get any downtime.
Forty-five minutes after his paw stepped off the catwalk at New York Fashion Week last Thursday, Tabs was on a flight from JFK bound for Kansas.
It’s because I booked him for back-to-back kitty modeling jobs immediately after New York, even though I didn’t think it was a good idea at all. I thought he’d need some rest after walking in so many shows, but he insisted, and whatever tabby wants, tabby gets.
The Kansas job was an historic first for us — an on-location shoot for a brand new line of eyeshadow duos made by Tabs. So he was both the model and the client.
It worked out great. They did the shoot in a corn field and hired a local turkey actor. I couldn’t believe they actually found a turkey who could model, but Tabs said the bird had skills…
And then right after the Kansas shoot, Tabs took the redeye to Los Angeles, where he had a couple of meetings and worked on four more kitty modeling jobs.
He only got back from L.A. this morning, and now he’s upstairs in the sink taking a nap.

It’s true! Sinks, closets on top of the towels, on the bathroom floor. Tabs sleeps in the strangest places, and he looks so cute when he’s curled up in a fluffy ball.
Determination, haha. Tabs you’re so punny. 🙂 I need that lavender fur treatment for myself.
El Hub and I were talking earlier about how cats go from perfectly relaxed to totally freaked out in the blink of an eye. It must be stressful being a cat sometimes. Their senses are so tuned that they see and hear every little thing.
Love these campaigns Tabs! Jiji and I are having a relaxing Sunday evening, we just watched some Lisa Eldridge tutorials while we snuggled (he’s still curled up checking MBB with me). Love you! xoxo

Hilarious! If Tabs ever makes versions of those eyeshadow duos for humans, I’m in. 🙂
I currently don’t have a kitty :(, and our bunny is a boy and refuses to do drag, so I can’t get the current versions.

These are all great but Tabs’ expression with the turkey made me snort. And on a semi-related front, we were golfing on Saturday and saw 2 big Mama turkeys and 8 babies waddling across the course into the woods. I’d seen ducks before but never turkeys. Everyone out there was stopped and pointing. It was pretty cool 🙂
Those turkeys sure get huge this time of year too. Tabs has no idea what to do about them. I think he knows they’re birds, so he squats down like he wants to pounce on them, but then he realizes that they’re huge and probably weigh more than he does, so he backs down, haha.

How do you keep tabs’ coat so shiny? Also what if anything do you reccomend to reduce shedding?
