You might be wondering, “So what in tarnation is this Monday Poll thing anyway!?”
Well, it isn’t exactly a poll. It’s more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been putting out to readers every Monday morning for the past seven years. (It’s like a kickstart for your brain.) I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments, and I hope you enjoy reading mine.
- What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
My favorite roller coaster is the Demon at Great America, and whenever we’d go, I’d ride it over and over and over, like, 10 times every trip. - Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
Nope.Oh, wait! — I change my answer. In elementary school, one of my classmates played a “hip skateboard kid” in a Sony Walkman commercial, I think, and all the kids thought he was so cool because he was on TV.
- Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
Ya know, I pick one up on occasion from Sephora or Nordstrom because I think they’re really cute and convenient, but I never end up actually using them. They just sit in a drawer all sad and neglected…I guess I prefer my perfumes in regular ol’ bottles.
And then when I go on trips, I usually bring those little fragrance samples you get for free at a counter, because they’re so tiny and don’t take up much room in my fragrance/lotion/miscellaneous beauty product Ziploc bag.
- Great things come from ____.
…getting a good night’s sleep. LOL! Or, alternately, pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. - Doughnuts or croissants?
I feel that being forced to choose between the two constitutes cruel and unusual punishment. But, if I were literally forced to choose, I’d choose doughnuts.
More variety, ya know? Cake, glazed, jelly, chocolate…
Mmm, doughnuts…
Your turn. 🙂 Just copy and paste the following questions into a comment with your answers. I look forward to reading ’em!
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
4. Great things come from ____.
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
In productivity news (OK, not really), how do you feel about overthinking things — you know, where you’re thinking about something, like an important date on the calendar, or something you have to do for some reason, and you just keep thinking about it and thinking about it, and because you’re thinking about it so much, nothing ever really gets done?
Yeah, I do that sometimes…
Here’s an interesting article on the subject: How to Stop Overthinking Everything and Find Peace of Mind.
I like the “stop talking about it” idea. I can see that helping because, you know, the power of internal dialogues. Like, when I say that something is a problem for me, and I say it over and over and over, I think it sort of reinforces the problem.
Sometimes, it’s good to just change the convo, you know, even when it’s with yourself.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Have a wonderful week, babe. 🙂 I hope it’s a good one for you.
Andrea says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
The televisions in my house all have the closed captioning option on, because I like my Tvs on low volume and that’s the only way I can hear/see what they are saying.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
I spoke about being a first generation college student for a Cal State Hayward commercial (wayyyyy back in the day, because the school is called Cal State East Bay now.) but my part didn’t make the final cut. 🙁
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
I do! Because I usually don’t wear the same fragrance daily, it’s a less expensive way for me to have more variety.
4. Great things come from ____.
Having patience.
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
Why can’t I have both?!
Karen says
Hi Andrea,
Are you from the East Bay? I grew up in Union City!
Stephanie says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
Probably that I spend so much time on the internet and getting to know cool people through blogs, ha! Or maybe that I struggle with depression, like for real. That’s not a thing I admit to easily.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
I WISH that were my claim to fame…
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
Yes! I got one from a cool southwest company, I believe, and I like it, although sometimes it can be too overpowering. I am NOT a fan of regular perfumes as people tend to squirt themselves with FAR TOO MUCH and the chemicals in them can give me quite the headache. I’m really into perfume solids actually, as I have a local chemist-turned-artisan who makes them and you can put the fragrance exactly where you want it and control how much of it you use and it’s wonderful.
4. Great things come from ____.
Geez, what commercial is this from? I can’t remember. Great things come from Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Lover’s Chocolate. I need that now, ‘scuse me…
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
Croissants. Never been a fan of doughnuts.
Karen says
Hi Stephanie,
I’ve had to cope with depression in the past and I know it’s not easy. What do you do to help relieve it? I’ve found regular exercise really helps me.
Btw, I remember you mentioning that you’re a sci-fi fan. There’s been quite a few interesting sci-fi movies this summer. Have you heard of the movie Snowpiercer? I saw it about a month ago and still can’t stop thinking about it.
Kiss & Make-up says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? I think I’m pretty transparent… But maybe that I have borderline mysophobia?
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial? No. And no.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? Never tried ’em.
4. Great things come from ____. Love. Sorry, I just got my man back home after 4 weeks alone, so errrrthing is about love for me right now 🙂
5. Doughnuts or croissants? Depends… Can I put Nutella on the croissants and then microwave them? Then croissants. If not, then doughnuts.
Karen says
OK, I had to look up mysophobia. Girl, I bet we could spend hours talking about hand washing, LOL! I’m kind of a germaphone in that sense.
And yes, you can put Nutella on your croissant!
Petra says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
Wow tough one… I am pretty transparant in my oddities… Might be that I love swings – not a thing that comes up in casual conversation much, especially they kind they have at fair grounds that go round if you know what I mean. I can just ride on those for hours on end…
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
Can’t say that I do
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
Got one as a gift by a college and I keep it at the office. Perfect for touching up Before leaving the office or more common, the Days I just plain forgot to spritz my self in the morning…
4. Great things come from ____.
coffee
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
Must say I much prefer croissants. But best of all is a cardamom (Spelling?) bun! OMG love those. The best I found are from a bakery called Fabrique (Stockholm)
Best of luck is also that my boss also loves them and she walks by the bakery on her way to work. Sometimes she brings it to the office – love it when that happens – instant-awesome-day.
I hope you are having a great time Karen. I am half way thoough my 4 week vacation and we have had a crazy heat wave in Sweden for all of it so far. between 86-95 (farenheit – online converters rule) Today it was down to 80. I have hardly worn any makeup at all.
But when I have. Powder UNDER the Foundation has been my savior to keep my face from melting of before I even step out the door.
Happy week to you Karen, And of course to Tabs
Karen says
Hi Petra,
Oh! If my boss Tabs ever brought me some sweets that would be an awesome day, LOL!
How is your vacation going so far? Are you taking any trips, or staying close to home?
Happy week to you, too! Tabs says hi. 🙂
Stephanie Smith says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? I am a terribly shy person, but I work very very hard at being outgoing. Most people who meet me would never know I’m an introvert at heart.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial? My Mom was in a local commercial for a glasses frame business.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? I have one in my purse, I forget it’s there. But I don’t really wear perfume.
4. Great things come from ____. Proper planning. Write it down, make it happen!
5. Doughnuts or croissants? Croissants. I have a slight allergy to sugar, so a buttery croissant is perfect for me!
Karen says
Hi Stephanie,
Great answer to number 4! I’m writing it down so that I can remember.
Hope that you have a good week. What did you do last weekend?
Divya says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? That I topped my class in Univ!! 😀
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial? No never! But I know someone very very distantly who does!
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? Yeah sometime.. I have a Zara fragrance in a roll on I think oriental or something which is really nice! I prefer the regular bottles too of course!
4. Great things come from ____. Working Hard and being kind! 🙂
5. Doughnuts or croissants? Croissants sil vous plait! 😀
Karen says
Hi Divya,
Yes, croissants! YUM!
Lisa says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? I am shy!
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial? No.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? When I was younger I did. Not now..I am still trying to find a soft everyday fragrance. I absolutely love anything Jo Malone! My absolute fav!
4. Great things come from ____. I am stealing your answer! I good night’s sleep..I feel like I don’t get enough sleep!
5. Doughnuts or croissants? If I had to choose..donuts; however, I do love croissants (esp. chocolate!). HOWEVER, now there are the Cronuts! Anyway try one..the best of the croissant and donut rolled into one! I haven’t tried one yet!
Check out the link below and please let me know what you think.
http://dominiqueansel.com/cronut-101/
Karen says
Hi Lisa,
HOLY WOW! I’ve never heard of a Cronut…I guess you really do learn something new every day. They look pretty cool, like they’d be yummy with a cup of coffee in the morning. If you got to try one, which flavor would you get? I’d pick Lemon Maple.
Oh great, now I’m hugry! LOL *tummy rumbles*
Shannon says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
I adore the smell of chlorinated water. It’s probably due to some childhood something-or-other, but it just triggers some sort of “awesome times” switch in my head.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
I haven’t been… and I can’t think of anyone I know who’s ever been in a commercial. I know someone who has composed the music for a few commercials overseas! pretty nifty 🙂
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
I do! I love the idea of them more than I use them.. but I do have one that I use in the wintertime a lot.
4. Great things come from ____.
Perseverance. I feel like it’s so easy to get caught up in the problems of “today,” when in reality you have the whole future in front of you. Your success isn’t defined in a moment; it’s over a span of millions of moments. It’s insanely difficult to keep a long-term view, but it’s so, so beneficial to just keep plugging away (even if your progress is slow).
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
hmmm… croissants, I think, just because I tend to go for them more often IRL.
And oh man, Karen, do I ever relate to the overthinking thing! I’ve found myself really bogged down in it for like, the entire summer (up until maybe a week or so ago). I’m working on dealing with one thing at a time, and then actually getting that “one thing” freakin DONE at a steady rate. 🙂 Definitely interested in reading that article!
Karen says
Hi Shannon,
I TOTALLY get the chlorinated water thing. Scent is so tightly tied to memory, and all of my “pool” memories are so fun!
As for making progress…I hope that things get even better for you as the summer goes on. 🙂 What one thing are you working on right now?
Shannon says
Thanks for the good vibes! 🙂 At the moment, the one thing is booking a couple shows over the next few months. It shifts every few days or so, though! I’m slowly working on a new EP (yay!) which is fun, but complicated. I felt like I kept getting tripped up in the details without doing much of anything… But I’ve finally been able to look at the necessary pieces one at a time, and deal with them one at a time. So! Progress. Yay. 🙂
Allison C says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? I’m shy.

Karen says
Hi Ericca,

Icequeen81 says

5. Doughnuts or croissants?

Karen says
Hi Icequeen81,
I totally get the body spritz fixation. It’s been so hot here, and a light refreshing body mist hits the spot. Do you ever put yours in the fridge? I like doing that in the summer.
Icequeen81 says
Hi Karen, not really, Is a great idea, Although I think it wont appreciated at home heheh he says I have too much make up on the fridge , even is just two lipsticks my face cream and toner.
Witch essences do you like?
I have ginger bread, coco’s vanilla, lemon vanilla, black currant , vanilla. We live on an island is always summer here. 🙂
Karen says
I used to keep nail polish in the fridge until my collection got out of control, LOL. Now I just keep some body sprays and the occasional under eye roller ball. 🙂
I have been loving quite a few scents for summer, a Frisson Verbena by L’Occitane has been my fave lately. I also have some refreshing body sprays — an aloe vera, grapefruit and coconut. All the scents that remind me of summer!
OK, I had *no idea* you lived on an island. You’re so lucky! Are the beaches nice where you live?
Icequeen81 says
I use to have nail polish too I cant keep them there anymore. That grape coconut scent sound delicious.
Yes, the beaches over here are pretty, we do have a few free beaches, the others have been bit by hotels so there is no access for public.Others are open for public but you need to pay for entrance. We do also have rainy season that begin in May till November. AKA known as hurricane seasons. So is not always sunny to go to the beach. But pretty much the rest of the year is very sunny , the beaches are blue , and the sand is white and clean.
Karen says
The non-rainy season sounds wonderful! Kind of a bummer that they charge to access the beaches. Too bad they aren’t public land. In Hawaii (where my husband is from). All the beaches are public access. Doesn’t matter of it fronts a fancy house or a hotel, either. Have you lived on your island for a while?
Icequeen81 says
I think cause this Island live from tourism it is necessary for the resort to charge so they can win some money.
Yes my family is from here and we have lived her pretty long.
Hawaii wow nice seem like a nice place to visit
Rachel P. says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? – This isn’t something I would just mention offhandedly, but I truly do not know if I believe that I am meant to spend my life with a partner. I in no way mean to bash relationships/marriage (I have seen so many successful ones and think it’s a beautiful thing!) – I just am not convinced that it’s for me. I have always been way more content on my own, and even when a relationship is going well, I still feel inhibited and disingenuous to myself. I’m not saying I won’t change my mind, but lately I’ve really been picturing my future with just me, and it looks nice from here.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial? – Nope and nope! I’ve seen some of my college classmates on TV shows like Hollywood Squares and Pretty Little Liars, but that’s about it.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? – I actually love those. This might be overly paranoid, but I hate bringing spray/spritz-style bottles to work, because the sprayer is sometimes kinda loud in a quiet office (guaranteed my coworkers would make fun of me) and I don’t want to leave an offensive scent (as much as I like it) in the nose of someone with an allergy! So roll-ons are my saving grace- they are subtle and allow direct and potent application!
4. Great things come from ____. – The far reaches of your imagination!
5. Doughnuts or croissants? – Donuts every time. Love me a donut now and again.
Karen says
Hi Rachel,
I have several girlfriends who feel similarly. They’re doing their own thing, and they’re loving it. One thing that I think is great about getting older is you really start to understand who you are, you know? And what you want. It’s a beautiful thing.
Hope you have a good week. Got any interesting or exciting plans?
Rachel P. says
Week is going okay, looking forward to heading north to the family cabin for the next couple days. I leave early in the am (boooo) but am excited to relax (yaaayy!). What’s on the horizon for you?
sone says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
I have ADD
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
nope…read 1 :p
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
Yes! i have a feel sexy rollon of essential oil….it is natural and really awsome when used on pulse points ;D
4. Great things come from ____.
A glass of iced coffee…true story…brain fuel I tell you 😉
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
imagine…croissant bread pudding…glazed donut style….drool alert!!
Karen says
Hi Sone,
LOL, that’s so true about coffee! I do some of my best thinking after that first cup. 🙂
Who do you take yours? I have to have lots of milk and a little bit of sugar (not too much, though).
Georgia L says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? That I’ve been clean & sober for over 28 years
2. No
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? Yes! they are my new favorite! So easy to throw in my bag to use when my fragrance needs a little pick-me-up. Also a good way to try newer fragrances, Like Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. So glad I didn’t buy the full size. When I put it on, I guess I was dreaming. It smelled terrific in that dream but in a nanosecond I guess I woke up and *poof* it’s completely gone! No trace of fragrance at all, nothing, nada, zilch.
4. Great things come from ____. Those who wait, but while you’re waiting do the footwork towards that great thing.
5. Doughnuts or croissants? Croissants! I’m still waiting to try a cragel!
Karen says
Hi Georgia,
That is a great accomplishment! Hugs to you.
Btw…what is a cragel?! A croissant bagel?
Kim says
Happy Monday! I have the opposite problem – I am a serial underthinker. 🙂 Well, maybe impulsive is a better word. Anyway, I think we can all get stuck fixating on things and “not talking about them” seems like good advice, for sure!
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know? Oh, gosh, I’m a pretty open book.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial? I’ve been in a couple for local businesses but definitely not in like a starring/speaking part capacity.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? I do! I have them lying around and in my purse, just in case. I’m not very fragrancy but I’ll normally choose a rollerball over a spray because there’s less of it to evaporate from non-use!
4. Great things come from ____. Smarts, luck and a lot of hard work.
5. Doughnuts or croissants? Croissants but only if I get to butter them!
Karen says
Hi Kim,
Well look at you, movie star! 😀 What did you do in those commercials?
By the way, and this will probably shock you, but I’ve never eaten a buttered croissant. Crazypants, I know. It just never occurred to me to put butter on ’em.
Kim says
Hey, Hey! I hope your week’s off to a great start!
In one, I just had to walk through a store aisle and pick up some products/look like I was reading the labels. In the other, we were piled in a room with a TV (all of us gals and our menfolk/kids) and we had to cheer like someone scored a goal in a hockey game. 🙂
One of my coworkers is convinced I only love restaurant bread/rolls because they’re a delivery system for butter. I think she has a point! HAHA!
Nikia says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
The one thind alot of people don’t know about me is that I am goofy..but most of the time it comes out around those who I feel would really get me and my silly side.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
I have never been in a commercial, I do know of someone that has been in a commercial that I know of, it’s a young lady that went to the same highschool I did. She was in a grade level lower than me.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
Yes!! All the time when i go into ulta..when there on display. I never buy them though. Lol. I just feel i would get more for my money purchasing the bigger sizes.
4. Great things come from ____.
To those that wait.
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
Doughnuts!!!
Karen says
Hi Nikia,
I think I could bring out your goofy side. 🙂 I’m all about the goofiness.
Have a good week, OK? What do you have planned?
fancie says
I’m ALWAYS over thinking things. I always want to feel like I’m making the best decisions about everything so my nerves are kind of always on edge lol. I hate it sometimes!
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
I’m a huge nerd lol. I’m pretty good with computers and phones. I’ve fixed a few of my laptops and I always root my phones. I just dig it!
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
No! I wish though. How dope would that be? Even if it was just someone I know I’d still be excited lol
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
I haven’t in a while since they’ve been tucked away in my stash out of sight. I do like using them though! They’re perfect to toss in your purse
4. Great things come from ____.
Hard work and determination
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
Doughnuts! I just got over my Krispy Kreme binge but just the word doughnuts is sending me into a frenzy lol
Karen says
Hi Fancie,
Yum! Love Krispy Kreme. Which one is your fave? I’m all about the original glazed when they are piping hot.
Kylie says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
My biggest pet peeve is when people wear shoes in my house, but I never stop them, so people probably think I’m cool with it.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
I have not, but my cousin was in a McDonald’s commercial in the 70’s. And my high school boyfriend’s dad was an actor and has been in a ton of commercials (including Disney World!) and TV shows.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
I’ve purchased a few, but the scent is never as strong as I want it to be, so it always ends up being a waste of money.
4. Great things come from ____.
Ambition and hard work.
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
Not a huge fan of either, but I guess I’d choose Doughnut Plant doughnuts!
Christine says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
I could easily be a hermit if I didn’t need to work. I’m such a home body.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial? Yes and yes — but all radio stuff. I like listening to the radio and recognizing voices (either people I’ve worked with, went to school with, or who taught me).
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers? Yep! I find them easier to use than sprays, personally. My favorite right now is Sula’s Lovebirds Fresh.
4. Great things come from ____. Positive thinking.
5. Doughnuts or croissants? Doughnuts (because icing and sprinkles)! But the cake doughnuts, I’m not a fan of the yeast ones.
Kate says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
I broke into a neighbour’s house when I was six, because my friends and I wanted the peanut butter cookies we knew they had inside.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
I haven’t, but I count a number of actors among my friends, so I know several people who’ve been in them.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
Nope. I don’t know why, but I really dislike them.
4. Great things come from ____.
Trying. Even failures create something.
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
Croissants s’il vous plaît!!! I just love those crusty on the outside moist on the inside buttery all over wonders. Now I’m craving one. Or four.
Efraín says
Here’s another one who overthinks things, the worst part is when overthinking makes you feel guilty about something you haven’t done or forget.
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
Mmmm I don’t really know, maybe the fact that I can’t be a complete fangirl, I can love something/someone but my ability to put attention isn’t really good to be always following, I’m easily distracted.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?
I haven’t but my friend’s brother is a young actor and he’s even been in a movie.
3. Do you ever use those roll-on fragrance thing-a-ma-bobbers?
I’m almost sure there isn’t any roll-on fragances for men.
4. Great things come from ____.
Taking risk and/or do what you love.
5. Doughnuts or croissants?
I think I’d say croissants because ultimately I can’t really eat thing that are too oily and sweet; also croissants filled with dark chocolate are like heaven in your mouth.
Karen says
Hi Efrain,
Oh gosh…chocolate croissants. There’s a French bakery in my town that makes them with dark chocolate and they are AMAZING, especially with a cup of coffee in the morning. They also have one with a ground almond filling that’s quite good as well.
And funny that you should mention roll-on fragrances for men! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one, and I feel like I’ve seen it all, LOL!
Hope your week is off to a great start! What are you doing this week? Anything interesting/fun?
Efraí says
Sorry for the late reply Karen, I thought I’d suscribed to replies but hadn’t.
I haven’t tried the ones with almond I’m going to search them or bake them someday.
I know about roll-ons I’m sure they don’t exist.
For this week I don’t think I’ll do something interesting, because my cousins came last week and we showed them all the city. So I’ll be preparing for college (I enter on August 10th), cleaning my room (I don’t know how I keep so much trash), thinking about what I should do with my blog and trying to start a new project. Also I have to study for the CAE, damn I think I have many things to do.
How about your plans?
Shayna says
1. What’s one thing about yourself that a lot of people don’t know?
Most people do not know where I was born or what my “mother tongue” is.
2. Have you ever been in a commercial, or know someone who’s been in a commercial?

Hi Shayna,
What a nice gift to give to your granddaughter! I bet she gets a kick out of getting beauty products. Is she your only grandchild?
Shayna says
Hi Karen,
She is my youngest grandchild. I have 5 grandchildren ages 8, 9, 21, 23 and 25. We were recently blessed with our first great-grandchild.
hugs,
Shayna

Hi Shayna, How wonderful! I bet she enjoys being the baby. (The youngest ones get away with everything.) And congrats on your first great-grandchild! That’s exciting news. Have you had the chance to meet her (or him)?
Shayna says
Karen, we drove 7 1/2 hours each way last week to see him. He’s so darn cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This “little guy” is going to be a heart breaker….LOL
OK, I admit to being a bit biased but, this is our first great-grandchild. However, I’m fairly sure I’ll feel this way about any other great-grandchildren we are blessed with. Actually, if my son ever decides to settle down and have a family I’ll feel the same way about any more grandchildren
we have 🙂
hugs,
Shayna

Hi Shayna,
You are so lucky! So many bundles of joy to share your love with. 🙂 I would’ve loved to have had great-grandparents in my life. Mine were all the way across the ocean, so I didn’t get to meet them. I have old pics, though, which is nice. At least I have that!

HI Karen
You are right to not use the rollerballs. Although they are cute and convenient, they’re actually not great for the perfume. What happens is that your natural oils adhere to the rollerball and contaminate the perfume so after a while the perfume deteriorates and the scent starts to turn.
Much better to use sprays or samples- Ask me anything about perfume! 🙂
xoxo Love your blog!
