I hate to be a party-pooper here, but I think the pencil and brush are way too small to get a comfortable grip. It may be useful when you need to travel light, but for everyday use, it seems impractical. I like Benefit for their cute packaging, but some of their products sacrifice quality for a cute box or cool graphics — and then charge $30 for an eyeshadow or something like that. That’s why I have a love-hate relationship with high-end brands. You pay A LOT for the marketing and packaging that goes into the brand and product, but if the product really does deliver time and time again, then it has value, especially if it can serve multiple functions.

For example: I thought about buying Benefit’s “Big Beautiful Eyes” palette. I went to Sephora and had the Benefit rep use it on my. I liked it okay; the packaging was definitely travel-friendly, but $32?! Seriously??!! With that much money, I could easily get 5-6 quality products at the drugstore or Ulta if I did my research and used coupons and watched for sales.
