Reuters reported some sad news today – legendary makeup artist Shu Uemura passed away on December 29 from pneumonia.
I’m bummed as I just discovered his makeup line and have quickly fallen in love with it.
See ya at the crossroads, Shu. You will be missed.

Oh shoot. I just learned about Shu Uemura from you and now he’s gone.

Can you recommend must have shades from Shu Uemura? FYI, I like shimmer.
This is surely a huge lost for the entire beauty community because Shu Uemura was such a creative genius.

I love his products and the was he uses colour- a true make-up artist.
If you have to try something from Shu Uemura, its got to be the Lash curlers and the Glow-On blushes.

Hello all.. it is very sad news that shu uemura passed. but he had a full life and many followers!! i work for shu… and i just love everyone in the company, and i assure you that the line will still stay amazing and the limited edition collections will be great! lots of new stuff coming out soon!!! i cant tell you what but you will love it!! and mr uemura had a right hand man for years, and he learned everything he could from him to carry on the line how he would have liked!! I have worked in cosmetics for years…and i truly can say i love this line like no other! come check out spring collection.. it is the last collection Mr. Uemura did, and its amazing.. and the nail polishes are beautiful too.. didyou know he designed the nail polish to fit in between a womans fingers? thats one of the things i love that there is somuch detail in everything.. anyhow .. take care all!!
