If you’ve ever wanted to decorate your face with gems — no, literally wear gems ? on your face — now’s your chance! Urban Decay has a new face powder coming out called Naked Skin The Illuminizer Translucent Pressed Beauty Powder.
Gosh, that’s a mouthful…
It has white synthetic sapphires in it for a lovely, luminous glow.
Sounds fancy, doesn’t it?
This is basically like a MAC Beauty Powder. You can wear it all over your face as a setting powder, or use it as a targeted highlighter for specific areas.
It just comes in one shade, but it’s supposed to be universally flattering. I built it up in the swatch below to give you an idea of the hue, which is kind of a peachy beige with little silver sparkles.
It looks like it’s tailor-made for pale peeps, but it still does a little something-something for tan skin, too. I didn’t think that a tan person like myself would be able to pull it off, but somehow it works, although you can’t really see the glitter at all. Just the glowing opalescence.
I really like how it looks on bare skin. That’s when the opalescent-ness really comes through.
It also functions as an improv pore eraser. I swear that it makes mine look a little smaller…
Urban Decay Naked Skin The Illuminizer Translucent Pressed Beauty Powder (mouthful!) is available now on the Urban Decay website and coming soon to Sephora, Ulta and select Macy’s stores. It’s $34 for a 0.31-oz. pan and also comes with a hidden sponge applicator in the compact.

Looks a touch ashy for the deeper tones. :/

Is this similar to the Hourglass lighting powders?
I have ethereal which does nothing – this looks similar but I’m hoping it works better.

Looks like it’d be good for my kind of skin. I don’t use a ton of powder because it dries me out, but I’m curious!

I wonder how this compares to Yves Saint Laurent
Lumiere Divine Highlighting Finishing Powder Palette. Other than being $13 less.
I’m looking for some added glow, but not sparkle or shimmer.
