The Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils in Demolition, Perversion and Woodstock Are Giving an Encore

January 7th, 2012 by Karen 24 Comments

Wearing UD’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Woodstock

Pink hair, pink gloss, pink eyeliner… Needless to say, I’m feeling rather pink right now. 🙂 That pink liner, by the way, is Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Woodstock, and it’s one of three new full-size Glide-On Pencils eyeliners just launched for spring 2012.

But this isn’t the first we’ve seen of Woodstock, Demolition (a matte dark brown) and Perversion (a matte black). All three were previously released with Urban Decay gift sets, but they’re back by popular demand, this time available individually.

Demolition and Perversion

I’m thrilled to see Demolition and Perversion giving an encore because both of them apply with dense, saturated color that does not mess around. One layer of either and I’m good all day long, both along my lash and water lines.
Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A+

Woodstock

Woodstock, however, is a different story, and one with many layers. Like six! That’s how many layers I have to apply to get the shade to look as pigmented as I like. Don’t get me wrong — I do like the color, but it’s one of those I have to be in the mood to apply. Plus, my skin tone doesn’t always play well with pinks like this, and sometimes they can make me look like I’ve been crying. If that’s not an issue for you, and you don’t mind lots of layering, Woodstock’s an awfully pretty pink on the eyes.

Perversion and Demolition are gorgeous! I don’t think Woodstock would be too flattering on me though.

I liked that you wrote the names on your skin. 🙂
I like the pink liner on you since it coordinates with your hair. I’m fair with dark blonde hair & blue eyes, intense pink on me might look like a raging eye infection! Lol!

How would you compare the Whiskey 24/7 liner with Demolition? Thanks in advance!

Whiskey is a much warmer and somewhat lighter brown than Demolition.

I love Demolition on you. It is indeed the colour of your hair, very flattering. I don’t think I’ll rush out to buy these though, I don’t wear that much eyeliner anymore these days. Ever since I went red with the tresses I wear less eye makeup. Strange.

Demolition looks great on you, Karen! And dark brown on the eyes and blue based pink on the lips is like my every-day look 🙂

Demolition looks like a total winner to me! It is dark without being harsh. Despite the fact that I love me some hot pink in the wardrobe, on my fingernails this color already feels “off” and that’s why I’ve never ventured into putting it on my lids. Woodstock looks cute on you though! Too bad it’s not as pigmented as the rest of them.

I have Woodstock (got it in a UD eyeliner kit before Christmas) and I don’t put it on straight. It actually looks great layered over black eyeliner. The black eyeliner gives it a base and it won’t make you look like you’ve been crying. It looks really pretty with your new pink streaks in your hair 🙂

Oooo, love the idea of Woodstock on a black liner, I really want that one since I love my Woodstock shadow!

It’s nice that Perversion is being re-released because it’s such a dark, great black liner, but I’ve never actually bought the Urban Decay eyeliners solo for their high price tag. I tend to get mine in the gift sets because the value is better.

But at least now that Perversion’s out, people who didn’t get the gift set can still have a chance to try it. 🙂

Even when I’m in the mood for a pink liner like Woodstock, I can’t pull it off. It’s cool that you do, sometimes, Karen! That’s a tough colour to sport!

I love Woodstock! Although it’s true, it does require a bit of layering. But I find that it’s bright enough to avoid giving me the crying-look. I don’t think I’ve ever found pinks to look weird on me, but I guess I can see how a darker hot-pink would look unflattering. I just wear it by itself with some mascara, and I think it makes my dark brown eyes really pop!

I love demolition! I totally wish UD would make the stray dog 24/7 pencil full size and permanent, I got it in the “naked” eyeliner pencil travel size set and am obsessed with it!

I have a soft spot for the pink liners (I still think about Tokidoki’s Donutella from time to time) but resist the urge to buy them because I know I wouldn’t actually wear them. They’re super cute on you, though!! And you really can’t go wrong with UD, right? 🙂
