Happy Friday, friend! Looks like we made it. 🙂 To kick off today’s pre-weekend festivities, what do you say we get nude, Sonia Kashuk style?
SK’s Lip Gloss Quad in Natural Nudes, the third of three new lip palettes for spring, feels just as comfy on my lips as the other two, Beautiful Berries and Bronzey Corals.
Yes, I’m wearing the four different lip colors from the quad in all of these pics, LOL! It’s just tough to tell because these lipsticks and glosses look almost alike on my pigmented lips. Because of that, Natural Nudes is probably my least favorite of the three, but it may be useful for layering atop or mixing with other lippies.
I do like the price, packaging and texture, though, and gals who love nuanced shades may really appreciate the subtle differences here.
PRICE: $12.99

yeah… with my pigmented lips, these are all going to look the same, too :).
Karen says
Maybe the Beautiful Berries or the Bronzey Coral quad would be a better fit. 🙂

What blush are you wearing?
Karen says
That’s Jouer Powder Blush in Rose. It’s from the Jouer Train Case from holiday 2010 (here’s the review), but I you can purchase it separately on the Jouer website: Jouer Mineral Blush in Rose.

Hmm, do you think the shades would show up differently on girls with pale skin and lips (like me)? I’ve been wanting to get more into nudes, but they either match my skin tone and make me look dead or are way too dark and don’t look nude toned. I was thinking this might be a good way to dip my toe into the nude lip color look.
Karen says
If your lips are less pigmented then the nuances should be more pronounced. Give it a go! The price is right. 🙂

Thanks for responding Karen! And if you’re wondering who is this person who started commenting like crazy out of no where… well, I have read your blog for awhile but recently acquired a bunch of free time. Which means much more time to read (aka stalk) and comment on blogs!

Happy Friday! Thanks for the swatches :-). I probably wouldnt pick this up because I don’t like pan glosses :/ and the colors are really sheer, but it’s so cute to look at!
I’ve got a little giveaway going on my blog that closes tonight if any readers would like to enter :-).
Karen says
I don’t mind them if I’m in the mood to bust out the lip brush! 🙂

Thansk for the swatches. I loved the other palettes but this one doesn’t do anything for me, the colors are too sheer. I love the blush you’re wearing down, looks great on you. 🙂

I think the berry palette is my fav. Also, what a handsome pic of Tabs!

How is it possible that any color looks AWESOME on your lips and skin tone? I love everything from the bright brights to these nudes on you—do you ever feel like you have to put on some concealer or something before you use lipcolor, to kind of blank out the color? I wonder if I should try that since I have pigmented lips.
