Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand in Manet Hops Right Off My Cheeks

It’s not like this Bunny doesn’t have game. It totally does. I love how natural Rouge Bunny Rouge Blush Wand in Manet ($45) looks on both my bare skin and atop foundation. The lightest swipe from this creamy, rosy coral stick blush creates a sweet, innocent flush that, quite frankly, kinda rocks.

Additional makeup worn in this look: Eyes, Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyeshadow in Sweet Dust Serima, MAC Feline Eye Kohl and Dior New Look Mascara; Lips, MAC Lip Pencil in Derviash and MAC Lipglass in Evolutioon Revolution

But the wear time, oy vey! What’s up, doc? Within four hours, Manet has all but vanished into thin air, like that dumb-@ss boy who said he liked you but never called, even after that epic third date…

Wait — what was I saying?

Oh yeah, the blush. If I didn’t think it was beautiful, I probably wouldn’t care about the disappointing wear time, and none of my usual layering tricks, like wearing a primer beneath it and dusting a powder blush on top, have been able to persuade it to linger longer.

What a bummer… I really do love how effortless it looks on my cheeks, and I’d probably be willing (eager, in fact!) to carry the cute stick around with me for midday touch-ups if it was $15 instead of $45.

$45 is just a lot to ask for a blush that disappears halfway through the day (even one as beautiful as this).

PRICE: $45

I am not ashamed!

Been listening to Stevie B since yesterday.

There. I said it.

His songs are like cotton candy for my brain… This one brings me back to the height of my awkward, big-haired phase as a goofball growing up in the East Bay, LOL!

In other news, how are things on your end of the keyboard today? Good I hope. On the beauty front, the Sephora VIB sale is officially underway and runs through April 6. Are you planning to get anything?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

You look so radiant in the pictures, Karen! But wow, the wear time is really disappointing…

I agree, you look so radiant and glowy in those photos, Karen. Too bad for this blush, it’s too expensive to be performing that bad.

It’s so pretty, but I wouldn’t spend $45 on something that only lasts a couple hours – thanks for the honesty 🙂

I have yet to try anything from this line but I’ll be skipping this product for sure – not a fan of cream blush anyway.

I’m starting to panic about how much stuff I ordered from Sephora today…picked up a few staples, plus a bunch of stuff I’ve been meaning to try. At least they have a fantastic return policy if something doesn’t work out. I’m especially excited about my Edward Bess shadow & quad royale. 🙂

Btw, I love your hair! I think sideswept bangs are a good look for you.

awwwww sorry it didnt work. but thank you for the warning!

i dragged the hubs to the mall last night – we had pizza at a place called grimaldi’s and i was able to get a bit of my shop on — got the umbrella, some samples and a bottle of microdelivery exfoliating wash by philosophy.

oh. and that cute orange blush from the sephora x pantone collab. so pretty!

Oh, I laughed out loud (I really did!) on your “third epic date” comment. HAHA! You just kill me sometimes. 🙂

I know I need therapy for this but I have to give this blush a D-, just because of the Cheecks spelling. I can’t look at it without cringing. OK, moving on. But only because I refuse to look at the packaging again. 🙂

Karen, your eyeshadow is so perfect in the top pic!

Happy to learn that you’re wearing: Rouge Bunny Rouge Eyeshadow in Sweet Dust Serima. Now, to figure out if it’s available in Canada.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
