Philosophy Unconditional Love Perfumed Shampoo, Bath and Shower Gel: A Delicious Indulgence

May 11th, 2009 by Karen 9 Comments

philosophy unconditional love perfumed shampoo bath and shower gel

You’re sitting at a sidewalk cafe on a sunny afternoon. A waiter brings out a slice of freshly baked blackberry pie along with a piping hot cup of vanilla rooibos tea. You catch a whiff as the scents mingle and feel comforted, relaxed… and yes, a little hungry.

I get this image in my mind whenever I reach for my bottle of Philosophy’s Unconditional Love Perfumed Shampoo, Bath and Shower Gel ($22). 🙂

While I mostly use Philosophy Unconditional Love as a shower gel, it also works as a bubble bath and shampoo. The rich foam is bubblier than a gang of cheerleaders hopped up on Red Bull.

It shares the same fragrance as the other products in the line, like the matching body lotion.

Philosophy Unconditional Love Perfumed Shampoo, Bath and Shower Gel

Price: $22
Use: A combination shower gel, bubble bath and shampoo with a relaxing tea and blackberry pie scent.
Makeup and Beauty Blog Rating: A

As cheesy as it sounds, when I’m in the shower I like to read the little blurb on the bottle and dream about love…

“Once upon a time there was a person who swore they would love you forever. Their love moved on, but your love stayed in the same place. Consider the opportunity to love the greatest of all blessings, even when love doesn’t go your way. The love you give is the love you get, and it is all good no matter where love takes you. Let the ability to love another belong to you forever and ever because real love stories never end.”

You might like Philosophy Unconditional Love Perfumed Shampoo, Bath and Shower Gel if…

  1. …you love berry fragrances,
  2. …you like getting your body washes, bubble baths and shampoos in a single product,
  3. …you feel like you deserve a special treat.

The tide is high, but I’m holding on

Ladies, thanks for all the hugs in the Monday Poll. I’m feeling a lot better now.

You guys are the best. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I love Philosophy stuff! Unfortunately in the UK our choice of products is very limited, and I don’t think I’ve seen that before.

Looks like I’ll have to make a trip to the USA. =D

I smelled the unconditional love fragrance at Sephora last week. It’s quite sweet. For some reason it reminds of CK Euphoria and cotton candy. Very delicious. Is it just me, or does the ‘unconditional’love philosophy seem so bittersweet 🙁

Karen, I also read your review of the Firming Emulsion, is it better than the Amazing Grace one? a new formula perhaps?

Thx, and thank you for the great blog, I really enjoy it!

I would love to try this product. I could make some room in my shower by eliminating my shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath by just having this one bottle. I’m should my boyfriend would appreciate that! Thanks for the blog!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
